Bought this to replace an Apple Airport Extreme router. Signal strength and range is 2-3 times better than the Airport Extreme. Love the flexibility and all options available, specially the media sharing/server functionality, which does not require a computer (however, you need a DLNA compatible device) and all the security/privacy settings that the Airport Extreme was lacking. Been using it for several months now, and have had no issues. Transfers are fast, and streaming is excellent.

This router is exceptional and allowed me to discontinue using my extender to reach rooms on the extreme ends of the house. In addition, it will provide me more options down the road as technologies continually change.

So much faster than the standard router/modem that I've been renting from my cable provider for years! I can't believe I've been wasting money every month for so long.

This thing is awesome, but honestly is overkill for our needs. Not complaining, it was just on a good enough sale to pop for the extra $15. Plenty of extra coverage and options for multiple networks.

After using this router to replace my 5+ year old one, I have to say, the range on this is so much better. And it supports 5G, which is nice. Yay to faster internet speeds and greater coverage at home!

Bought this router based on a Best Buy associate's recommendation. Using it for a 1800 sq ft condo, the old router we had was not strong enough. This one works well, we get internet signal in the secondary bedroom now.

Best place to buy is Best Buy. knowledgeable staff and this product is awesome! quickest my internet and my daughter's games has ever been. another benefit: our HD TV is even sharper than ever! would highly recommend

We have a cable modem internet connection. My Apple AirPort Extreme-based network was delivering no better than DSL speed. The Nighthawk delivers 100 Mb/s plus and the signal reaches the entire house.

Router is very fast. Both ac channels work like a charm. I need to dig more into the n channel. Not as fast as my last n router on that channel. Over all I would recommend this router.

I don't think people realize how many items are connected to their Wi-Fi causing slow data transfers and buffering issues. My home is around 3000 sq ft and had some coverage issues along with speed issues. This unit resolved those issues. There are typically 25 plus items connected to my system all the time and no buffering when streaming video and surfing the web with no lag. Thank you Netgear.

Bought this to replace a dead Asus RT-AC66U. Overall it's probably a little overpriced for the features and performance. Still, I'm satisfied as the range is a little better than I had with the ASUS and the throughput is great. Had a few problems with it dropping wireless connections randomly but a firmware update seems to have solved. This is a big router and you will need plenty of room when you extend the antennas. Seems to run cool.

Setup was a breeze. Netgear’s computer app for setup is garbage but I was able to use the web based tool. Signal strength is fantastic and I like having three dedicated channels. $159 was a steal.

Setup was easy. Range and speed are great. Netgear Genie is an easy tool to manage every aspect of the router.

This router fixed all of my wireless connection issues throughout my home. we have over 15 devices connected in my 2500 sq feet home. This was the right choice for me.

Bought this on Black Friday to help with the Wi-Fi speed at home. Works great. Service wasn’t so great in some parts of the house but now no issues everyone uses their devices and you can’t tell.

This is a great router for homes with multiple devices. Live in a two story house and it works well, reaching most areas. Examples of how to setup on different bands would be helpful to understand ways to maximize efficiencies of system

If you are not completely satisfied with this product you should return it and make someone happy you missed out. Easiest setup ever with no time wasted. Performance is off the charts. Could not be more pleased and happy with product and performance. Looks way cool too. Must have for everyone.

I had been suffering from slow internet since we upgraded my wife and son's iPhones. I had not upgraded our wireless router in several years (it was a g band router). The Nighthawk 6X was more than I had originally wanted to get but has been a godsend. I have separate channels for my work, my wife's phone and tablet, and the kids X box and phones. There are no longer problems with any of them either in terms of bandwidth or coverage. Set up was relatively simple an I've been very happy.

We just set up this new router and so far the speed and coverage throughout the house have been extremely good. This has also been confirmed by my speed check app.
