This is the best Wi-Fi Router I have owned. The range is great and handles at least 20 devices that I have connected with ease. No traffic congestion and easy QOS setup. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality router!

Router works awesome and extracts full bandwidth signed with internet service provider. Bang for the buck!!!! It's been close to 2 months and the experience has been phenomenal. Yet to explore other features like hooking hard-disk for remote access. Really enjoying the speed since day-1

I have to say that this is a great router. I have this downstairs in my basement. It currently is in the farthest lower corner of the house and gives great coverage. I do plan to locate it in a more central location in a stairwell opening when I can get an Ethernet cable run to that spot. I get good coverage for my whole house already, and when it is better located I expect full strength signal throughout the house. They are slightly lower at the farthest distances in the house, but that is expected. I found that it was very easy to set up with the interface easy to use. The only thing I have had a problem with is that I could not see my WD MyCloud when I had it connected via USB, but it does see it when it is connected via Ethernet. I have not had a chance yet to investigate if it is a router issue or a WD issue. Once I get the X6 relocated it will make my home network much simpler which previously consisted of 2 routers and a network extender. Well worth the money.

I replaced an older model Netgear with this one as I have had great luck with their product. This one Is no exception, an outstanding piece of equipment. It is easy to set up and works great. I have coverage everywhere in our home. Extremely pleased with its performance so far.

I live in a condo setting where there are many wifi routers in close proximity. I felt that not only are structured walls an obstacle, but excess local wifi traffic may have have added to my low connection. (Not scientific, just gut feeling). After adding this router to our network, the signal to my Roku 3 has been consistently stronger and solid. Streaming is much more reliable (even when the microwave was in use, this was a provious issue).
I was using a wifi extender previous to purchasing the X6, this wasn't as stable. So streaming was sometimes hit-or-miss. No regrets on this unit.

After 2 years of pain and suffering with COMCAST Internet service I was at wicks end. Looking for a Wireless Internet Service Provider, spoke with one that persuaded me to get a router.
Best Buy rep heard my situation and recommended this router saying that if could not resolve my issue then It meant I had a much serious problem.
What a difference all my frustration is gone. This router delivers the good. Expensive but for me worth every penny.

I purchased this router this morning to replace a new Asus RT-AC3100 that was misbehaving right out of the box and I got it to replace a failing netgear r7500. This unit automatically configured itself to my Comcast settings before I could get into the GUI to do anything. Once inside it was the same familiar setup that I've been using with my previous Netgear routers. I was able to assign static IP's to my security camera's and their DVR quite easily. Throughput has been as expected and I expect to receive good service from this unit. My only concern is the lack of active cooling on it even though the unit has lots of ventilation. I did place a laptop cooling pad underneath it and power it from one of the usb ports to keep active cooling on it which is working very well. I also wish that it had more than 4 gigabit lan ports but I won't subtract a star for that.

Easy setup. Shows you surrounding neighbors wifi channels to avoid congestion. Replaced an apple router which is essentially just a toy. Able to get high 200Mbs with wifi. Range covers 2 story house perfectly including front porch.

I've had two Asus routers in the past. I chose to upgrade from the Asus 66 to the Asus 2400. Unfortunately after going through 3 of those do to the known problem that plagues that model I decided to return and give this router a go after many thumbs up from the Best Buy crew. The router is really good but not as reliable or as fast as the Asus. It will
Drop signal suddenly needing a reboot to get things back up and running. The range is solid though and speeds on 5g are very good. Wish the interface was more user friendly and there were a few more options but overall it's satisfied my needs for now.

Very easy setup- my tech challenged husband managed it easily. Range in my 1200 sq foot house is perfect and outside. Speeds have improved to where we are getting the 50mbs we are actually paying for as opposed to 10-20mbs for our old model.

I have been using the Nighthawk X6 AC3200 for about a month now. The router is located on the first floor of the house, and I am writing this from a wifi-connected custom-built gaming PC in the basement that sits in a concrete alcove. I have had zero performance issues. I run speedtest regularly and get in excess of 170mbps via a Comcast ISP and through this router via Wifi. I have absolutely zero complaints concerning this router. It works over long distance, handles the twelve devices I use easily. My two kids can be on their iPads, watching Netflix while I'm on my Apple TV, streaming movies and it all works without a hiccup.

I did not know what i needed. The sales associate understood my problem with networking. I was trying to extend my wifi to another building on my property about 500 feet away that is all Brick and metal two story 5000 sq ft office building. He suggested a few products. The one we decided on was a little hiigher priced but with my problem I felt it was justified. I had tried to solve this problem with two other suppliers. These suppliers quoted me about $1500 They did not understand my situation. Your associate was great. The product worked better than expected. Net Gear Nighthawk x6 AC3200 tri bnd wifi router.I get good signal in all rooms on both floors 60 to 70 MBPS speed.for less than $300

Before I proceed: I have over 8 active devices in my house any point in time.
Since I bought the router, I have seen a definite change in clarity of videos, everything is faster, I never drop wifi signal in any floor/corner of my house and I am able to get over 60MBPS download over WIFI from the First floor of my house where as the router sitting in the coat closet near the entry way on a 100MB pipe. Obviously higher on the ground floor.
Went over to neighbors place for a party and speed and signal there was also awesome. I used to get drastically slower speed even though I was on a pretty decent router.

This is very simple to set up and covers a great area, but it is expensive and there are other options out there that are cheaper. Luckily my company paid for it, otherwise I would have picked something else.

My challenge / problem statement - I was unable to get the ATT router to broadcast my 1 Gig signal to all corners of a tiny 1100 sqft apartment.
What i did - Bought this Nighhawk expecting magic
What i got - Got a noticeable improvement in coverage and performance, but did not get the magic I hoped for. Hardwired, i was able to get close to 900 Meg. On Wifi, I was able to get close to 500 Meg (the ATT was able to not do beyond 200 MEg)
Pros -
Looks impressive
Good LED indicators
Flexible Antennae
Good throughput
Good Netgear software and decent interface
Cons
The wall hang put the router upside down
The range is not monstrous
The broadcast direction is very specific and not 360 degrees

I had a handful of "high end" WAPs but they all seemed to be mediocre. For the past two years I have just ended up using the wireless switch that comes with FIOS. It did the job... until you have more than 7 or so devices on it. Then I would get weird problems and slowdowns and devices not being able to connect. Even with just one wireless device, I had difficulty in detecting a signal on the far side of my home.
I put the FIOS router in true bridge mode, and am using this router as my WAP. Not only can I keep up with 30 devices (like the claim), but I also get really decent signal in the far end of my home (like the claim).
The web page for configuration is a bit sparse, but all the normal configuration settings are there. My Synology NAS also now works via upnp instead of my manually configuring ports. (This has been a problem in the past. But never really bothered me.) If you wants lots of configurables, this might not be the router for you. However, I think 99% of the users out there do not even need to touch those anyway since this router just works.
This WAP also comes with a smartphone app. I tested the Android app. I use it occasionally, but doesn't really provide much benefit.
Good solid device which does what it says.
