I bought this to replace the Linksys ac1900 that I purchased a little over a year ago. The Linksys was constantly dropping its connection to the modem and to my Linksys range extender purchased earlier this year. I've always been a Linksys fan, but this router left a bad taste with me. So I read the reviews and made an executive decision in buying this router. So far its performed perfectly. It has a much stronger 5 Ghz signal and great speeds in my basement, which is where the majority of my connected devices are. I did notice that I could not use the Genie to see the firmware update and had to manually download and update it. Not a big issue with me tho. Otherwise a great product.

I was having trouble getting internet upstairs in my home, and this router solved the problem completely! It's worth every dime they charge for this one. You won't regret your purchase. All our game systems, smart phones, tablets and computers work better and faster than ever!

This is been one of the greatest routers I ever had it has improved my speed over all in my Internet. It also controls of who can access your network why they're at your home and keeping all of your items on the network. The guest network is awesome it allows you to have people access it without disrupting your overall speed for your items .Would highly recommend this to anyone that has multiple items on the router. It was very easy to set up.

Going into upgrading my home network I wanted security and long range in a large house where all my smart tv's could pick up the wifi signal....this item did not disappoint ...I'll tv's pick up the network and I can stream with ease two stories up in house and even all the way outside to the far corner of my backyard where I have a pub shed built with TV also!!! So it got the job done very well is secure and powerful...buy it if you have similar concerns and don't worry about the price tag if it truly gets the job done!

I have had this router setup for the last 3 months and have not had any issues with it. The setup process was fairly quick. Compared to my previous router I no longer have times where my device drops wifi connection randomly. The 2.4Ghz band is at full bars through 2 floors. The 5Ghz is 1/3rd at that distance, however at 1 floor away it is full bars. I have not tried out many of the advanced features yet but so far it is looking good.

It is a huge step up from a base FIOS WiFi router. I now have high speed access everywhere in my house, as well as deep into the backyard. It's night and day. Easy setup, Recommend.

I have 150MBPS Extreme Internet from Comcast. I was only getting 60 MBPS through my previous router, so I tried connecting directly to the modem I found it was my Cisco router causing the bottleneck both wired and wireless, firmware upgrades didnt help. So I wanted a router that would blow the other one out of the water, this one is a beast, I now get 4 times the wireless distance than I ever have before and never resets or disconnects. 5 weeks now and still going strong. Glad I upgraded with all my wireless devices.

I needed something powerful enough to reach my mom who lives in my guest house about 50 feet away, and still reach the master at the other end of the ranch house- about another 50 feet, and I didn't want a repeater , and so far this is working great! We have nothing hardwired except 1 directv box and upwards of 20 wireless devices using this router without a hiccup. I get up to 100 Mbps using my time warner connection.

I replaced an older router with this because we were experiencing many dropped sessions for all of the users in the house. Partly that was because the limit of the router was insufficient, and partly because the router was simply going south. So far, we have not had any problems in either connectivity or coverage. Installation was very easy, and setting up security was very easy. I have not yet plumbed the depths of the intricacies of the router beyond security customization, but am overall pleased with the purchase. I expect that I will be adding more devices to my network, so that a maximum capacity is essential.

We upgraded our home internet and needed a router that can give us the extra bandwidth we needed. The Netgear router filled that role and more. The 802.11ac gave us the speed and bandwidth we needed throughout our two story home, all the smart TV's on the second floor have great bandwidth now and are no longer buffering. Highly recommend this router, eventhough it's a bit expensive, it's worth the cost.

My family has been using this router for the past month and it is great. The speeds are fast and reliable and I no longer hear my kids complaining about buffering issues. It has a lot of features that I haven't gotten to use yet but as a router it does the job well. Set up was easy and painless and I haven't had to unplug or reset it yet. I can't believe I have been missing out on a great router this whole time. At first I didn't think I would see an improvement but I was wrong. This is great router for any family looking to connect lots of devices and stream lots of content!

I am loving this router. Let me preface that by saying it had a few glitches to start with dropping connection. But I used NETGEAR's chat with tech support and we got everything worked out. I have never really had a great experience with tech support from any company but I was really impressed with how far above and beyond they went to get my issues worked out. GREAT TECH SUPPORT. I have had the router for a little over a month and I can get wifi in far reaching places in my house. No more reboots or issues I had with my previous router. It is a thing of beauty and runs great.

I’m very pleased with my new router. It was recommended to my by a Best Buy associate who has the same router. When I bought my first router, all I needed it for was to download books to a Nook. Now, we have 4 iPads, two smart phones, a smart tv, 4 shop lights that use WiFi to automatically turn on and off with motion....and oh yeah that nook. With my old router, my device were constantly buffering, but now everything is working great—super fast and consistent signal through out the house and garage. I’m very pleased!!!

Before I had trouble in the back room getting Wi-Fi above three bars. Internet was slow and downloading was always buffering. Now I have a minimum of four bars, can watch streaming videos and internet speed to keep up with the I-7 Processor on my computer. It makes sense when you boost your internet speeds to make sure your router can keep up with the upgrade and then you can begin enjoying videos, computers, surfing and other tech devices as they are intended.

At $300 router I found that this one had similar performance to ones by Linksys which can be purchase for around $230 (Amazon had it for this and BestBuy will gladly price match!) Had plenty of settings options though I wish the setup and settings pages were more intuitively organized (things weren't always located in the most obvious place). Overall, great range and speed, a bit better than the Linksys. I would wait for it to drop in price though.

I upgraded to this router from a Netgear R6300 that was having some problems. This router provides better coverage than that router and also has more options related to wifi connectivity. It has 6 different ssid's, 3 for guest wifi of varying speeds and 3 for your home network. I give the guest wifi password out to my college age kids friends which allows them to have internet access without risking them gaining access to my home network. Being that this is one of the flagship routers for netgear, it is rather expensive, but to me it was worth it.

Before when I speed tested our devices I got slower speeds at certain test sites and faster at others getting the max my cable provider supplies. Now I get the same results all the time, the max I can get. and my PS4 gaming experience is way better. The latest firmware update automatically detects device types and prioritizes them and it automatically set the Gaming console high priority. Wireless dead spots are no more even having it in the basement and on top of a fridge, 2 things they don't recommend. Even wireless print jobs are faster. We use all 3 bands running laptops, tabs and printers.

My old N router went out due to a power surge after several years of faithful use. I wanted something with increased range and reliable fast throughput. After typing a high end Motorola modem AC router combo with less than stellar results I opted for the newest Nethear model I. Their AC lineup. I can truly say this product has not only met my expectations, but surpassed them which is hard to do from the demanding usage and applications I do daily. I would definitely recommend this product for a larger house with n and ac wifi devices.
