While a bit pricey, you are getting what you pay for with this product. I purchased this recently to provide WiFi to our newly purchased home and can report that the connection is strong and maintains high speeds even on the far side of the home (we have a 4 bedroom, 2 story house and the router is located in one of the corners on the first floor). Net gear has an easy setup process and app to help you problem solve as well. Would definitely recommend those in the market for this type of device consider this product. Will be paying for itself over time when you no longer have to pay the rental fee on an internet provider supplied device.

I would definitely recommend this router to anyone that has a home over 4500 square feet this is an awesome router. I have not had any disconnections since I purchased it. My Nest thermostats work great and my Ring doorbells work's even better and it's not dropping the internet connections like it was with my outdated router. As I stated earlier in this review, this is an awesome router and it was worth the money period. The ease of use was fast and quick, but I had to hook up each Echo Dot individually, bummer..., nothing to do with router, just thought I let the customers know that.

I bought unit to replace my current cable companies sad excuse for a router. I could never get the advertised speed or coverage with the supplied equipment. With unit I get faster than advertised net speed. It also handles multiple devices with ease. I use this in conjunction with Netgear's CM700 high speed modem, with fantastic results. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase, and it also saves a little each month on my cable by not using the cheap supplied equipment.

Love the speed as there's no lag time for streaming or downloading updates all at the same time. Love the Parent Controls on the newer model and the extra Circle Service that works along with this model. Having children that like to surf and get into things they shouldn't be, the Circle Service also allows me to track what sites and stuff they're getting into or trying to get to while it's blocking. Lots of extra features than my older NETGEAR, and learning to configure them wasn't too hard. It has auto Flash Updating as needed to stay current.

I recently purchased this Night Hawk as an upgrade from my Nighthawk R7000, because of connectivity issues that I was having in my home of approx 1100sq. Ft., apt. New York apt. Older building with hallway long with rooms set off from hallway and living room and kitchen at end of hallway at the back of apt. Bed room and computer room at the front of apt as to where my set up is ,now the signal was always weak in the living room where we spent most of our time, so neither Nighthawks where able to keep a steady signal on that end of our apt. So within 2 weeks or so I ended up returning this router and purchased a EERO that came with 3 domes and 30 dollars cheaper and my hold apartment is covered seamlessly with everything connected my computer , firestick, 3 cellphones,Echo dot. Echo shadow and smart TV, hp printer and the speeds are great every was set up in approximately 20 min with the easy app and instructions, it never ran this sooth ever

We bought this router because my wife is working from home Kinder teacher. We started to have more issues with connectivity. We were also seeing a quality drop in our streaming videos. This was easy to hook up. It prompts your to update the modem making that an. Easy step. Setup was easy. We have up to 17 devices hooked up to it at any given time. It has no issues with keeping great flow. We actually see an increase in dowload speeds. Almost 90mg faster than our previous router. Great Buy!

Been using this for over a year now and have had very little problems with it. I was a die hard linksys user until I had several fail in a very short period of time. Networking was my field of study so for me the setup was rather easy. The app also works with the router very well. Our house has tech shield on the roof decking so it can cause problems with wireless connections. For us it has not been that big of deal on a single story home.

Great router. Easy to install and the nighthawk app is a breeze. Setup of your devices fast and easy. Like the fact that you have the flexibility to shut off the WiFi signal whenever you need to using the button provided on the top of the unit. Excellent coverage thru out the home with no dead zones. I use multiple devices and they all work flawlessly with no lag or slowdown. I have always used netgear products and they never disappoint. Highly recommended. Pricey but worth its price. Furthermore the fact that it gives you three different guest bands is also a plus for more flexibility.

I live in a smaller size house in a room above the garage, right before entering my room is the ac unit and the attic, firstly I don't have an Ethernet port, for a while i've been dealing with weak wifi signals, low download speeds, etc. I was using the modem router rental from xfinity and it was not serving me well so when I saw this router on a flash sale for 40% off I had to give it a try. Very easy setup, comes with instruction manual on how to set it up with the nighthawk app. The tri band is very useful living in a house with gamers. The 2.4 ghz band blasts through the interference from the ac unit and the insulation from the garage to give me an easy 5 bars in my room, any problems i've had with it have mainly came from the xfinity modem so a new modem is definitely in mind, All round it's a great router, it's really in a sweet spot for pricing & power, it's not over the top gaming router but it definitely holds plenty of power, I mean it's got a darn 1.8 Ghz processor in there! The radius is insane, I get 5 bars in my shed in my backyard. It handles up to a gigbit just fine. I work part time at a best buy so from what I've seen it goes on sale often so keep your eyes open! Anyone who does buy it I recommend opening the flaps on it in all directions, instead of it's standard crown look, Once you open it up the wifi sign stretches farther.

I have a lot of devices connected to my WiFi at all times, over 20+ devices including 2 PS4’s and a gaming pc. This router handles it with ease. I instantly saw a ~220+ mbps boost in my internet speed when I switched from my stock spectrum router. I experienced some crashes but it was a very rare occurrence that didn’t last long. Great buy and I have recommended this router to many of my fellow gamers

Got a Nighthawk to replace my powerline adaptor +wireless point setup that I had because it was getting a bit unreliable and I needed to setup a new home theater system (smart TV, Xbox One, high end Denon receiver). I wouldnt say setup was easy because I had to mess with Verizon modem +router that I had to use on the network as well, but the system setup software was good enough to navigate me through that issue. The speed on the wireless rotuer is great (866+ MBs when I am right near it) but as much as people advertise how powerful the range is I am slightly disappointed there and hence my 4 instead of 5 star review. The 2.4 GHz channel gets plenty of coverage in my house, but the 5 GHz channels dont have great range is what is my fairly small, but 2 story house. At best I get 56% signal speed in the main room I need it, which is about 2 rooms away, down one flight of stairs. I get good enough speeds on my XBOX One and phone etc so far, but the signal does go from good to fair at best. I have watched short 4k content no issue so far to test my new setup but I do have concerns if it will keep up with a full length 4k movie if the signal drops to fair or below during the movie. I would recommend this router overall, but I would not trust the high end of estimates of the range that people will tell you it accomplishes

I have many devices connected to this in my 2000 square foot house. My cable that comes into my house is in my basement so that if where my router is. Not ideal, but with this router it reaches all parts of the house just fine and outside in my yard with little degradation of speed. It does a good job of allocating bandwidth to devices that need more and less to devices that do not need as much keeping everything optimized and running smoothly even with 40 plus devices connected to it.

This router allowed me to take full advantage of my FIOS speeds. With the stay at home order, my wife, son and I have been working, playing video games, streaming movies, and conducting video chats all at the same time. The speeds and range have allowed us to do it all without issue or dead spots in the house. One of the best investments to make my smart home and families life much more pleasant during this stay at home order. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Before I purchased this router, I doubted that any router would be able to broadcast signal that was strong enough to penetrate through a three-story Victorian home, with a basement. I was pleasantly surprised and able to get a signal in all corners of the house. Easy set up as promised, and a great performer as advertised. I recommend this router to anybody looking to upgrade their current system.

I am happy with this router very easy to set up and add devices to. Its a multi band so I can put some devices on 5 GHz2 and others on 2.4 GHz . I recently set up the Guest band so easy. The range on this thing is phenomenal ! I have a 3 acre lot and I can connect at my neighbors place which I couldn't do off the modem from our old provider. I only have fairly slow satellite internet . !st time I can stream any video since living in WA state.
