I looked high and low for a wireless router that would take advantage of my 100mbps speed. This wireless router does that with ease. It also allowed me to change the SSID & password so I didn't need to update all 7 of my devices. Access throughout the house, no dead spots! This router will last for a good while before I would need to upgrade again.

Router is easy to setup via iPhone app. It increased coverage and speed at the furthest points in my home from the router. Upgraded from Nighthawk R7000 and its a night and day difference in speed and connectivity. Be sure to upgrade firmware right out of the box to avoid reset problems.

The performance of this wireless router is excellent. I have a 3,400 sq. ft. home & this router sits on one end of the house. I get good coverage at the other end of the house on both 2.4G & 5G bands.

I was hesitant to get this router only because I wanted WiFi 6. This doesn’t do it. BUT, I got it because the reviews and it turned out to be amazing! Just got gigablast and this thing pumps out the mbps. Covers the whole house (about 2000 sq ft.). And the nighthawk app is good too!

Purchased the router based on a recommendation. Everyone wants to stream and play online games and the Nighthawk C6S solved the lagging issues we were experiencing. Very easy to set up and no more lag. I would recommend the router.

The router is fast and provides solid coverage. I was debating between this or a mesh network but went for this instead. Router had to be restarted weekly though until I updated to latest firmware. So far solid connection.

Good speed, excellent range, and handled a lot of devices including phones, tablets, smart tvs, smart speakers, smart home devices, etc. The only issue I had was that I could never get the remote management to work.

Good upgrade for older Netgear Router

Have been a Netgear router user for some time. When my R6300 started acting up I went for one of the top end Netgear Routers that I could get to replace it. Seeing as the last router was 4 years a old I like a lot of the additional features that since have been added. The tri-band is great. I have now separated off a lot of devices to more evenly spread out the WiFi usage. I now get much better signal strength out of all WiFi bands than I did previously. Also the design with the folding antennas is wild and cool, so that is a nice plus. This new router has been working very well for the last month or so I have been using it. Hoping for a good 4 years out of it again.

We are loyal NetGear customers. After three years, we had to look into getting a new router and NetGear was our first choice. We chose this router because it had rave reviews, and after upgrading our internet, we needed something that could handle faster speeds and more devices. We purchased this router on April 3, 2019. At first, it worked great! Easy setup, simple to customize, overall awesome. Fast forward five months and now we are having nothing but issues. The second port won't keep a connection. It cuts in and out and the wifi connection isn't stable. Because we are still under warranty, we called NetGear to try to resolve the issue. The tech agreed it was a hardware issue and that we'd need a replacement. Unfortunately, getting a replacement under warranty is not free. You are expected to pay $30 for priority, next day shipping to get a replacement. $17 for standard shipping, up to ten business days. That's for keeping the defective router until they send the replacement. If you want to ship the defective router first, you are responsible for all fees incurred. With either option, what is the point of a warranty? This router is $300 with tax. The point of a warranty is for a company to stand by their product and replace it if something goes wrong within the time frame. It's not for the customer to be responsible for shipping costs. Not thrilled with NetGear and this has made us lose respect for this company. We will not be purchasing NetGear products in the future. Purchase this router at your own risk. Good luck.

Great speed, capacity for devices, coverage and stability. Management software sucks. You set things (like rules) then log in again and it's forgotten them, or the SW can't find the router.

Awesome router. Upgraded from an ac1750 that was reaching the end of its life after 6.5 years (daily resets to stay connected). The upgrade was immediate as my speedtest.net results over wifi tripled. It's pricy but worth the doe.

Stylish and professional router. Wifi range is fantastic and can hold the speeds very well. This router can handle multiple devices in a large household without any sweat. Configuration is expansive but easy.

My old N300 NETGEAR unit has worked fine for 9 years. However, it restricted the full use of my new internet speeds or I wouldn't have replaced the unit. The new Nighthawk allows me full use of my 400/20 internet speeds, which also allowed me to sync my garage door openers and not have to wait so long for other program updates to install on my radar detector, home security system, etc. I would have given it a 5 star rating but I had trouble with the app working on my phone, which also restricted the internet speeds during that time, and it took an hour on the phone with customer service to get the problem resolved and I had to delete and reinstall the mobile app.

My house is pretty small, but this router reaches half-way down by my street! The unit is super awkward to actually find a place to put it, but the performance is awesome! I have over 70 devices connected to it both wired and wireless and it never gives me any trouble. Highly recommended.

It is fast but I do have lag spikes. It also will not let me update the firmware. For the price I paid I expect a little more.

Great router. Reaches all rooms in our house and love the ability to have a guest network. Removed a usb without safely removing and had to reset back to factory to set up again. A little troublesome, but was our fault. The speed is there and signal is there too. Great purchase

I have used Netgear routers for years. I have been having problems with this unit. It drops the internet every 2 days (Spectrum) and rebooting the router restores the connection. This is a pain. Netgear is sending a replacement. The router is great when it is working. I don't know how many others are having this issue, but there are plenty of posts on the internet with the same problem. Hopefully, the new unit will solve the problem.
