Satellites did a firmware update during install. Signal didn't seem as strong as the Orbi I was replacing since the satellites had to be closer to the router. Seemed to be a significant drop in wifi performance on the satellites compared to the older unit. Returned since there was not a noticeable improvement.

Installation was fairly seamless.

I tried a different mesh system and it wouldn't to play nicely with work VPN. This set fit the bill perfectly. The only downside that is not mentioned in set up: You HAVE TO use the Orbi ethernet cord for it to operate.

Occasionally there is a slight lag in my family room, which is on the other side of the house, but I'm still happy!

My wifi speed is much improved and I can use one in another room near my work computer with no worries. Definitely recommend this product!
