Grest Mesh System
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this system for over a year now. I have had ZERO issues with any aspect of these devices. The satellite picks up great, the router is easy to setup any custom rules and the signal is pretty awesome throughout my entire property. At ant given point in my house or yard, i easily achieve 750 - 950 mbps. I have gamer kids who use it day in and day out...never an issue with them on and streaming and me watching movies or whatnot. There are a minimum of 15 devices online at any time and all work very well with absolutely no lag whatsoever.

This is fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It solved the range issue. I have tried extenders, crazy routers and what have have. Turns out mesh routers are what you need. And this + orbi app was seamless to set up < 5 mins. Connects my bedroom with fast speed internet. Love it

Orbi works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to setup. I switched out from Linksys - Velop and it is MUCH better. I had nothing but problems with them staying connected. Orbi stays connected and I have yet to reset one and have had them for over a month. Only trouble is finding the best location from 1st floor to 2nd floor to maximize signal.

Will never go back to a plain old router!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best router ever! I had been hearing good things about the mesh systems, so glad I took the very expensive plunge.lol I get 550 (pay for 500) mbps in my 3700 sq ft house! It is a little slower upstairs. But we have 2 PS5’s, a PS4, iPads, iPhones, streaming projector in our game room, all going at the same time! Never any buffering but games are glitchy sometimes! I am thinking of adding another satellite. My house is 80 years old and I have plaster walls. I feel that is my problem on the PS5 upstairs. It doesn’t buffer but we do get some glitching here and there, not often. I feel like adding another satellite wil help our problem.

What a Difference!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this mesh system for just over a week now and have been very satisfied so far. The installation and setup was very easy through the Orbi app - it took an hour or less to get the router and 2 satellites set up and working. I use a modem/router combo from ATT and disabled the built-in router (Wi-Fi) from ATT so as not to interfere with the Wi-Fi from the Orbi (so devices will only connect to the Orbi Wi-Fi signal). I mainly purchased this to increase coverage in the corners of a 3-story home. My modem is on the third floor, and I previously had little or no TV streaming signal on the first floor and garage televisions. After installation, using speedtest.net for comparison, my device speeds over WiFi (particularly smart TVs and other devices across the house from my modem) showed immediate noticeable improvement (10x the previous speed in the room on the first floor). The app allows you to monitor devices on your network and easily control settings and connections; I have not used the app in-depth but so far it seems simple and useful. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Sloooow and finicky setup.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once it’s set up, it seems to work well (only a day in so far), but the way to get there was the most frustrating I ever had setting up a wireless network. Replacing my WiFi 5 Nest Mesh, which was easily the most reliable and easy to set up network I ever had, the Orbi WiFi 6 Mesh is a very different animal. For starters, the router and satellites are huge. Suddenly their fairly prominent where the Nest simply fit in. But okay, that the price to pay for progress, maybe. Anyway, it took me hours to set up. There is a video on the Netgear website on how to install, which is far better than the included instructions (incl. The Orbi app), but still not fully successful. Long story short, the iOS app (iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16.6) starts with hit or miss to even find the Orbi router. Several restarts and resets later, it agreed to start the setup process but typically timed out in one or the other step. That’s after minutes of waiting for each step! I finally used my Win 11 Pro laptop. It became clear that the iOS app is bad, but not the only reason. From a browser, going thru the setup process is grueling and slooooow. No progress indicator helps to determine if it’s actually still working. Being patient finally paid of … up to the point where it displayed a Capta screen that it would be much easier using the app. (Don’t fall for it! It restarts the process and hangs up before completion.) Hours later and with the basic setup done, the interface requests a (mandatory) firmware update (3.x to 4.6) for all three devices. That too failed several times, typically because of one of the satellites (despite both being “identical” and within a few meters from the router). Rebooting the satellites and persistence eventually overcame this obstacle. My laptop was very happy to proclaim that my “Network just got upgraded” when recognizing the WiFi 6 functionality. A Speedtest did return 490 Mbps (wireless) when the modem measured 580 Mbps for my (wired) connection. Finally something positive to report. Now it’s working and I am tempted to give more stars, but a moment ago I was close to returning it.

Another great product from Netgear!
||Posted . Big Upgrade from a single router
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a single Nighthawk X4S router, and I could immediately tell the difference in connection stability. I live in a 2000 sqft house, and I have excellent coverage throughout. Between everyone's phones, computers, TVs, and all the various smart appliances, I typically have 20 devices connected at the same time and the system handles all the traffic with ease. Absolutely no complaints so far. Setup was simple enough through the Orbi app. With the router and two satellites I am able to get great coverage throughout the house and backyard.

All around a good product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router and satellites work really well! My coverage has greatly improved. However, the app is buggy. I had to call tech support twice and the second time was because the app would not log me into the router. If I went via a web browser on my computer I got in just fine. Also, when I was trying to submit a case the app screen didn’t have a way to minimize the keyboard or a ‘done’ button to take me back so I could submit the case. I had to tap the very top of the screen to reveal the Submit button. For the cost of this mesh system and the fact Netgear has been around a while I would think, and expect, better QA for their app.

HUGE improvement!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4000sqft home, Netgear Nighthawk AX6000 router, 3 Asus AC3100 routers all used to boost wifi. Worked for couple years then started to drop and have difficulty connecting. Spoke w our internet provider and they suggested a mesh-type system since we receive their top tier connectivity package. Was skeptical but bought the AX4200 (on sale). First of all, this is the EASIEST system to set up...so much better than any other router. Took all of 20 minutes to set up the router and two satellites. That included setting up an account with Netgear. Plugged in the router and the satellites on the two floors of our home and everything connected perfectly. All wifi-based security cameras and Ring doorbell, phones, laptops, tvs...connected so simply. Duly impressed. The main issues was the lack of quality gaming for my sons on their Xbox and PS5. They have complained for years about slow connectivity and dropped signals. No more. Orbi has remedied our wifi issues and we are so thrilled! The app is easy and user-friendly. For the past 4 hours, I haven't heard one complaint and no signals have dropped or lagged. Very satisfied with this system!

Easy Peasy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced old Orbi units with new AX4200 tri pack, downloaded Orbi app, kept the same SSID and password, up and running on all devices (28) in five minutes with no issues. Single strength is strong, it covers our entire house 3200sf (under air) upstairs, downstairs, garage and all of the front yard to backyard. We can even login to the network from daughters house across the street and stream Netflix. We hardwired to our two cable boxes and Hue lighting system, which frees up more bandwidth for the video and audio streaming. Excellent router/mesh system.

The BEST - Orbi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been having issues connecting throughout my house for years. I purchased the nighthawk and an additional router thinking that it would be sufficient. I had dead zones and spotty reception issues, resulting in constantly being required to restart my devices and hope for signal. Installed these 3 Orbi's and have full signal on every device, whether it's in the basement, main floor or upstairs. 100% perfect coverage for 3600sqft home.

If you have Wi-Fi 6 devices it's a good choice.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had wifi 5 mesh and they were ok until they died. This is a solid upgrade that i shouldn't have to worry about for a couple of years. I have 2 of the 3 hardlined and even when connected to the non-hardlined point I've got full 1000mbps. The range is even a bit further than what I use to have with the sams amount of nodes. Spectrum internet 1gig package.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Best Buy expert techs over the phone recommended this specific model for extending the Wi-Fi 40 feet behind my house and into our newly built ADU (Granny Flat). This system worked like a CHARM! It has superb coverage and extremely fast speeds! Just buy it. You will not be disappointed.
