Let me start this review by stating that before this WIFI system I had the Google Nest WIFI (3 Pack). Overall it worked well with some minor hiccups where I would need to unplug one of the pucks and plug it back in which was starting to get annoying so I had planned to upgrade after at least 3 years of having the Nest system. I know multiple people who have Orbi but none of them had the newest Orbi 770 series. They all had raved about their system. I bought the 770 because I wasn't about to drop $2500 on the 970 series. It was fairly easy to setup but after day one I was having issues with devices dropping signal, random high pings on gaming systems, and phones frantically switching between WIFI and 5G. I work from home so others would notice issues with audio when I was on web meetings. This has been going on for almost 2 months now. While support has tried to help, they have got nowhere close to a solution. They keep sending me Beta firmware to try that they think will fix it and it never has. I truly believe this is a hardware issue but Best Buy gives only a 15 day window for refunds and Netgear is fighting me on a replacement or refund. This was not a cheap purchase and I worry that I have no avenue to recoup my cost. Please do not buy these until Netgear fixes this system!

Upgraded an outdated Google Mesh with this. The install was quick and easy. The bandwidth is amazing with the support of all of my devices and IoT equipment. The only current issue I have is with the intermittent connectivity for my iPhones.

Had a bit of a tough case.. having my main router in the basement of a 3-level house to support my home theatre with the highest speeds. But, this has been the perfect solution; supporting high speeds throughout the home.

bought this to replace my Orbi 850 that worked great until a lightning strike took it out. The 770, when connected is faster than the 850. However, epson ET4760 would not stay connected. requiring rebooting of the ORBI 770 to get printer working whenever i haden't printed anything for a few hours. Also my Iphone wouldn’t auto join the network when returning home. had to manually go in and ask to join network. Returned to best buy before my 15 day window return window expired and got the 850 again, 960 not instock. Rather have reliable and a little slower. Dosn’t matter how fast your car is if it won’t start.

Not as strong or as reliable as previous version. Regret upgrading. First one had a broken satellite right out of the box. Had to return to the store for exchange. Next one had difficulties establishing a stable network. Took a factory reset and a long time with Netgear customer support. Should be able to cover large range than my previous model but that isn't the case and the speeds are slower at a distance. Very disappointed. If I hadn't sold my previous system, I would return this one. It's ONLY redeeming features is the high speed port out the back.

I upgraded from the Orbi 753 WiFi 6 system, and this is a huge improvement. Getting speeds 3-4 times what i did on the old WiFi 6 system. Make sure to update to the latest firmware and this system is more than fast enough.

You...... mesh router perspective buyer, run don't walk away from netgear/orbi and tp link/deco for that matter. Here is why. I switched to the orbi 770 series because of the ongoing tp link banning talks and having multiple devices and users passwords stolen while having a deco 75 pro system. I have done this at two large homes having 4+ routers/nodes each, purchasing 3 sets of the 770 units for a grand total of over $3000. Comparatively speaking orbi has worked ok but had limitations like having a less useful app, and being considerably more expensive. I know I upgraded from wifi6e to wifi7, but this was the only netgear mesh offering that has 2.5gbps ethernet compatibility. I was willing to live with these issues in the name of security. I have put a fair amount of time in to setting up this system at two locations: main network, guest network, iot network, port forwarding several devices, setting up static ip's, custom ip range etc. Port forwarding works for some ports I opened but not for others so my devices are inaccessible off network. Enabling vlan tagging or bridge mode to specific ethernet ports just drops internet connection for the entire network. Offering "VPN service" is deliberately misleading. Is this client or server? Considering the price point I would expect both but given the processor and ram in this unit the server side would be fairly limited, plus I would think most customers would be interested in vpn client to add a extra layer of protection for their networks. Come to find out no you only get a limited vpn server and no client compatibility. Over the last few days while trying to troubleshoot some of these issues I have encountered more. The orbi app has stopped allowing me to view my network saying issues connecting to network, despite still sending me notifications when new devices are connected -- so I know it is still connected to the routers. Next the admin ui is completely blocked as well. I have tried using different: browsers, devices, operating systems, wifi vs hardwired and permutations of this... nothing no access. After reading forum after forum this seams to have been and continues to be an issue for netgear and orbi after firmware updates leading most to factory reset the device. I cannot do this as I have no backups of the setting -- after all I was still setting the thing up. I'm out of the window to return on one of these units thanks best buy for the 14 day window, and now I have come to find out that netgear is now selling this unit for $800 per, not the $1000 I payed per unit to best buy. I will be returning what i can. I'm less upset with best buy and more with netgear. I fully expect netgear to send some "hi valued customer" message, with here are some auto or ai generated not helpful troubleshooting tips. This review is not for them, this review is for the person who has read this far. You mesh router perspective buyer, run don't walk away from orbi/netgear and tp link for that matter. Netgear seriously do better and don't advertise things that you cant do!

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your valuable feedback and we want you to know that your experience is important to us. We are sorry to hear that you have been having a difficult experience with your RBE773 Mesh WiFi 7 Systems, Web GUI and Orbi App. We would like to investigate these issues further and see what help we can provide. When experiencing an issue accessing your Orbi Web GUI via http://orbilogin.com, we recommend trying to access via different web browsers including Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Safari.

When setting up a bridge for a port group or VLAN tag group, please ensure your Router is in Router mode, and not AP mode. In the Orbi Web GUI, Select ADVANCED > Advanced > Router / AP Mode, and select the Router Mode radio button. After ensuring your Router is in Router mode, please follow the steps found in the User Manual beginning on page 87: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBE773/RBE771_RBE770_UM.pdf.
