I’ve tried almost all of the routers at BestBuy and have found this one to be the best. I have a big house and now have great high speed connection. I love how I have access to my router even when not at home. My router doesn’t reboot a lot like the other routers would. Connections are constant and stable. Speeds are always great. The router also does a vulnerability scan on all of my devices and blocks a lot of spam and malicious email and web traffic. I highly recommend this type of router for the right size of your house. Might need only 2 satellites or none. Check the square footage info on box to determine. Orbi has been the best for me. Thanks orbi.

    Best Wi-Fi ever

Fabulous upgrade from what I had. But infinitely better than the Wi-Fi that comes with your cable provider equipment. Am in IT, I am a Trainer and I teach over zoom, I had a mesh system, but since adding a Wi-Fi alarm, 2 Alexa’s and a whole bunch of smart devices my mesh Wi-Fi would cut out. Usually whilst I’m teaching, this is unacceptable. I bought the Orbi as a last ditch attempt and I wish I’d have got one years ago. It’s amazing and blisteringly fast.

A Little Compromise for Reliability and Simplicity

Purchased this after spending a lot of time researching different platforms. Moved away from Ubiquiti Unifi System to step up to Wifi-6 since we were having spotty coverage in our home with multiple Unifi AP's. The RBK853 exceeded my expectations. Wireless coverage has been great in our home of 3500 square feet. Setup was easy and installation was quick. A few items I wish it had but can live without since we just now want reliability vs feature set - No ability to breakout the 2g and 5g signals. - Only can support one SSID and Guest SSID - The iOS App is a little feature lacking. To get more advanced you need to login to the web console. Other than these few items after 24 hours it has been a huge step up. Highly recommend.

Needed something with better coverage that support lots of devices that could support higher speeds to. This fit the bill and does the job well. My only grip is that I have trouble with some devices wanting to connect to 5ghz as well as I can't select it individually either. Its all one network. On the other hand, that does keep it simple and the 2.4ghz is still pretty fast with plenty of capacity. It was the easiest setup I've ever had with a router by far and the app is great.

So far so good, it really works, and the performance is incredible, reliable, fast and strong signal all around even at distance. Set up was easy and have it running in no time. Average speed at around 10 ft from the unit on my phone was 642 Mbps, Im subscribe to the gigabit service and some times it reach the 704 Mbps on my phone which is a super great improvement comparing against the Orbi mini that i had, which reach an average of 357 Mbps

This is the second time I have bought this unit (we moved and left the old one behind). The first one was in a 4500 sq ft three story home with standard construction materials. The second home was 3100 sq ft home in the desert with thick wall construction. This worked best in the first larger home than in the smaller desert home with thicker walls . . . Overall, I would say construction materials and home layout vertical versus horizontal has an impact on the coverage area. But, where the meat WiFi reaches is blazing fast and stable. I liked the built in security app well enough to buy a stand alongside subscription - 5 stars

WOW... What a difference the Wifi 6 makes... I’ve had the netgear Orbi AC 3000 system for about 4 years (1 router and 2 satélites) to cover my large house and backyard with a pool, and although that system was good, I found myself fighting for wifi coverage in the furthest part of my backyard (about 55 feet from closest satellite), so I decided to upgrade to this AX6000 model and man oh man what a difference. What my previous system would do with 3 units, this new system does it much better (shatters it) with only 2 units, covering my house plus entire backyard (and half of my neighborhood lol) with ease. Not a single dead spot, and the wifi speed tripled with this new system. I am getting 400-500 MGz WiFi speeds (using my ATT 1 Gig fiber optic) throughout my entire house, and in the furthest point in my backyard, about 55 feet from router, I am still getting about 125-150 MGz, fire!... One low point of this system is the difficulty that the devices have to switch between router and satellite in this system, and it takes a hit on the performance at times. For instance, when I am right next to my router (located downstairs in the rear of my house) wifi speeds roar around 450MGz, but when I walk towards the satellite (located in the 2nd floor in the front of my house), my phone stays connected to router (40 feet away) and never switches to the satellite that is only 2 feet away, so my WiFi speeds drop to 200MHz. After about 1/2 hour or more, system finally recognizes better signal and switches to satellite, but it takes waaaay too long to do so!... but hey, other than that, this system is by far the best I have ever owned. Pricey, but oh man it’s so worth every penney!

Get the full speed of my service (400mbps) all over the house. Setup was easy, plugged the satellites and router in, there was an update that ran, router restarted and everything worked.

Excellent in terms of signal. Covers all the areas it needs to cover in signal, and we have a lot of space to cover, and we have old plaster and metal lathe walls and brick, but it has performed very well. What I don't like is that my previous mesh system from Amplifi had build in basic parental controls and the ability to see satellite mesh point signal strengths. Orbi requires a monthly subscription for parental controls, and I haven't figured out how to see signal strength yet to optimize placement. These should be free and easy to reach tools at this price point.

Theis EXPENSIVE system is definitely more powerful in terms of speed and range. Unfortunately due to my hobby room over my garage being 100 feet from the Satellite unit reception there is sketchy. U think the solution would be a second satellite inside the detached building but they do not offer the satellite by itself (I called). If I could buy a second satellite I would have rated it as a five even with the excessive price. Only buy this if you REALLY need the performance.

Where do I start, 4 person family with at least 20 devices connected to the wifi at any time. After 5 service calls from our internet provider did nothing to fix our issues. We got to the point where we would have to remove something from our wifi if something else wasn’t receiving internet. Our speeds were subpar, streaming content was reminiscent of AOL starting up. I’m in a 2850 soft. ranch home and I wish I had found this system earlier. Multiple kids can download games on console or steam while still enjoying fast speeds on other devices. No one has to hunt down devices that are consuming internet any longer.

I had read many favorable reviews of this Orbi system before deciding to buy it, and they helped convince me to go ahead. I had an older mesh wifi system that gave good signal coverage in our 6,000 sqft multi story house, but the wifi speed was not very fast, given our FIOS gigabit internet service. With the Orbi, our average upload/download speeds have gone from 80-100mbps to 400-500mbps, seeing over 600 near the router or satellites. Good stuff! Easy to set up, but a bit trickier to figure out the optimum placement for each Orbi component. But great results after a few days of experimenting, and our ethernet speeds are always over 900mbps.

Upgraded from the Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 orib and you can tell the difference, and with the easy setup it was a no-brainer. A bit pricey but well worth it if you can afford it.
