However, some customers express concerns regarding the system's price point and occasional connection issues. A few users also mention limitations with parental controls and compatibility with certain devices. I have had these for over 6 months now and it is an awesome upgrade from my old Nighthawk system. Tri-band allows for seamless internet transmission and much faster connectivity. My home network not works seamlessly and I am very happy...I had the old Orbi system (returned it for Nighthawk), but this new AX6000 is a definite cut above, so 'back on Orbi!

One of the worst purchases i ever bought. At least once a month, the network names and passwords need to be reset...meaning, all the smart home devices (i have over 100) has to be reset. Very frustrating. If you have a smart home, do not rely on these to function consistently. You will be very angry.

Our Previous Router was old and went out one day. We went to BB and bought this product after our personal computer wiz recommended it. It was simple, quick, and it was cool to have a 2nd device to reach the entire house, which is a problem we had with the single previous router we had. All is great so far. Two thumbs up from me!

My RBR50 died earlier this month, so decided to go ahead with purchasing the upgraded version. Some of the customized settings have been removed. Overall, it’s doing a good job. The connection is stable too. In my opinion it’s way better than the Velop, especially since it’s WAN port can accept 2 GB connections as opposed to 1 GB.

I SO wanted these to be great. They’re so expensive and the list of features is enviable. Wi-Fi coverage wise, these provided great Wi-Fi signal throughout my 4300sq ft two story home. Unfortunately they just fell so short with bugs and disconnects. I know they want to make these devices as simple as possible for the ‘average user’ so the admin interface is extremely basic and there aren’t many user manageable options. I kept having internet connectivity issues on a tablet (even though the Wi-Fi was always connected and strong) whether I was using 5GHz backhaul (default out of the box between the router and satellite) or wired 1Gbps backhaul. Certain devices on my network just couldn’t access internet even though they were connected to Wi-Fi, had been given IP addresses by the router, and were pingable (ecobee thermostats and lutron bridge) - there’s no ipv6 firewall option at all. Would have liked to have had some basic firewall functionality but this router only really has NAT to ‘protect’ you. Used them for a week or a little more. Invested a ton of time trying different things, placing them in different spots, I even bought a new switch since ‘green Ethernet’ switches are apparently a problem for these units - but still they just had core networking problems. I expect WAY more from a $700 setup, so I opted to just return them. I’ll look for a couple of decent APs with more options and more mature firmware. My internet is 1.5Gbps, at times wireless devices on these would get up to 800mbps (when using the 2.5gbps WAN port to a 2.5Gbps port on the modem) which is impressive for wireless. But too many dropouts and problems and instability made this exceptional performance and exception versus a rule. Too bad, Netgear. These AX units aren’t ready for prime time yet. Maybe when there’s a third party firmware out there, people will extract all the goodness this hardware has to offer.

Has potential but unreliable. I wanted the best but wound up frustrated. Main router kept crashing on my Fios gigabit connection. Customer service is atrocious for $1,000.00 product. When it worked it was excellent. Retuning it for the Linksys Velop. What good is a router if it can't keep a stable connection? Especially when it keeps kicking my kids off during remote learning. Extremely disappointing.

Netgear has really earned the position of best consumer router producers. This product is no exception. With the newest standard of WIFI (WIFI 6 / AX) these are powerhouses! Solved all my network woes. I am getting full speed from the line in on all my devices! 100% the best. A bit pricey though. Well worth it if you need speed and can afford it.

We experienced a significant upgrade in wi-fi speed and coverage throughout our house. We have a 2200 ft 2-story household and now we have nearly tripled our internet download speed throughout our home. We also have a lot of devices connected to wi-fi in our house and this mesh system allows for fast connections for everyone.

The price is a shock, for sure. But when you’ve got multiple adults working from home during pandemic, and home automation devices and security cameras sucking bandwidth, well... you need a system that works. This one does, and has greatly calmed the marital distress that was attributed to our former wifi setup. Setup was simple.
