    Great WiFi speed but setup was terrible. It takes ages for the satellite to connect. For the price I would have expected a solid Product

    Very disappointing especially for price of $700!

    I have Verizon Fios with Gigabit speeds, I currently have the Quantum Gateway router/modem. I purchased this Orbi AX-6000 hooked it up and was very disappointed in the speeds, setup, lack of tech support and most of all the marketing lies that Netgear displayed with this product. This product was not ready for launch and they should of waited until this was perfected. I have many dropouts, not consistent internet connection all over house, sometimes internet on devices showed not connected. Total waste of money and will be returning asap! Warning to not waste your money.

    This AX6000 Netgear Orbi is the real deal. We got it when it was $200 off and took advantage of the 15% trade in offer for your old equipment. Coming from an Orbi RBR50 you can definitely twll the difference in everything, coverage, connection, and speed. Paired up with Quantum fiber internet, everything is connected and downloaded quickly. The most noticeable things around our home was the connection to our Ring cameras almost as soon as the Ring app was opened. Game downloads on Xbox Series X were done in a fraction of the time. I bought a TP-LINK BE11000 but got my money back at another store because of the hacking issue and poasoble ban they are facing here in the US. One last thing, our home is 2200 sqft and the AX6000 covers 7500sqft so my home is thoroughly covered and then some.

    I bought this system with high expectations to replace my Nest Wifi system. I spent 2 days troubleshooting this system with countless calls to Netgear. Would lose connection and require reset after reset. I have 1gig Cox internet and all I could get out of this was 248mbps. I was getting 600-700mbps with Nest. This is being returned and sticking with Nest. Maybe I got a bad one and all customer service said was "sorry maybe try another product."

    Wait till the price drops

    For the price, I was expecting bandwidth speeds near the 1Gig AT&T fiber handoff with this mesh solution but I’m only getting up to 600mbps/400mbps.

    Though the product worked reliably, there seemed to be inconsistent coverage and low speeds in my home. It’s only 2500 square feet and single level. Returned and got Asus.

    Malfunctioned and near impossible to replace

    The Orbi worked well for about 3 weeks but as I came to find out, much like many others, after that it started randomly disconnecting and restarting itself frequently throughout the day. I spent no less than 5 hours on calls to tech support over 4-5 days and was ultimately told it was defective and to send it back. I did and 2 weeks later received back only the base unit and not the satellite, which lead to about another 5-7 hours over the next 2 weeks of harassing them until they finally sent it back. This was completely unacceptable and it failed just outside the window to return it to Best Buy, leaving me stuck having to buy a different wifi mesh system in the interim because I needed it for work and only hoping to recoup some of my sunk cost through selling it off to some other poor soul, whom I ask forgiveness from in advance.

    I was really excited to get this system but that quickly diminished. When it worked, it was great. Unfortunately it'd either lock up or reboot several times a day. I got the Asus ZenWiFi AX instead. Tested it for several days and haven't had a single problem. The WiFi range is even better, speeds are the same, and it's about $250 less than the Orbi.

    System works pretty good except the internet disconnects at least twice a week and has to be reset to get it working again. For the price it should work more reliably.

    Do not waste your time or money on this. Got it running after initial firmware update. This IT guy couldn’t get it working after numerous reboots of my modem and the router. The two wifi 6 devices I own would only connect at wifi 5. So there’s not point owning the devices. The firmware lacks very basic router capabilities. I am taking this over priced junk back in the AM.

    Couldn’t get these things to connect after 3 hours

    I am now working from home and need a good router setup. My home is ~3500 sq. ft, 2 stories and I need strong connectivity for WebEx/Teams Video mtgs. Hence, my interest in the mesh setup. I purchased the Orbis as well as the ASUS’ ZenWiFi at the same time with the intent to keep whichever worked the best. The Orbi AX6000 has an AWFUL setup! I tried EVERYTHING and could never get them connected….and I have a NETGEAR MODEM! The setup app is just awful - could never get it to work, either. Last ditch effort, went through a browser and still couldn’t get them connected. I unplugged, cycled, recycled, factory reset, and deleted app/reinstalled. I wasted 3 hours screwing around with these things! I have Xfinity 700mbps service and couldn’t get the ASUS beyond 500 mpbs. I REALLY liked ASUS’ interface better, but not confident for $500 these were going to speed up. Additionally, loved their router security at no cost versus Orbi’s $99/year. For $700, NETGEAR really should do a better job with setup on these devices ESPECIALLY if you are connecting to other Netgear products. I’ll have to keep looking - this ain’t it.

    Great until recent FIRMWARE that broke it!

    This was amazing.........until firmware 4.6.3.16 Bought this back in March and it's been super reliable and fast. Unfortunately Netgear released a firmware update that broke this for MANY CUSTOMERS. With 90 day support being too short, you're asked to visit forum community for help. I called and was told they'd "send me articles". It's been weeks and the broken firmware is STILL LISTED! Just beware!

    Constant drop moving from main tower to satellite

    This is the 2nd Orbi set I have tried to use - first was the older models a few years back. Same issue - moving in the house the wifi is not seemless and drops connections from the different devices that we have. We do not have this expierence with other Mesh systems. We opted to go with the Linksys Velop (which is what we had and upgraded to the Wifi6 version but wanted to try this Orbi again).
