Have a large house and wife works from home and needs a good internet signal throughout the house. Purchased the Orbi AX6000 and it has significantly increased speed and range throughout the house. System is a little expensive but very much worth it. Highly recommend.

Perfect solution for weak signal on Zoom calls

Very powerful signal capable of pushing through fast reliable speeds. Though its expensive compared to other solutions, worth the peace of mind. Our NYC apartment has thick concrete walls so that the furthermost bedroom from the access point could not receive a strong signal. After the move (during pandemic) started getting complaints from family about dropped video calls and spotty call quality. I tried a different routers, google nest and even a powerline network in various configurations. However all of them resulted in a pretty weak signal. The calls could still go through, but would drop intermittently and they would need to login again to class or work. Finally out of desperation I bit the bullet and upgraded to the AX6000. The reason was to avoid future wifi issues, get it over and done with and to futureproof for Wifi 6 and more internet devices. Signal was the strongest by far out of all the previous tries. Instead of 30mbps, am now getting 250mbps on the satellite signal. Even better, it has ethernet ports on the satellite that boosts the signal to 500mbps. Though this solution is probably overkill and could be done cheaper I have not received any complaints since.

    Big house solution

With gigabit internet, wired, I get same speed as connecting modem to PC (940 Mbps). Wireless, I get 600-700 Mbps upstairs and that's with 47 smart devices and 6 people online in a 2150 sq ft house with 2 stories. . The software still needs some maturity with more options available, but these 3 Orbis are great. They hardly get warm, haul butt, and so far (2 weeks) are very stable, and don't have a dead spot anywhere inside or out.

I haven't had any issues with these orbi. I was going to get the eero pro's but I figured I would get these since they're able to handle more than 1 gbps, so it's like future proofing my equipment. The app is great it will let you see who's all connected and they have a feature that protects your network. It even tells you what website you tried to open that would be considered a phishing website. Great product so far.

Easy setup and and fast (WiFi 6) with good coverage. I needed 4 google pucks to cover what these 2 Orbis do but the app is not up to snuff yet so the web interface is the way to go after setup. Lots of $$$$ but so far so good

while not cheap, this thing is great. my whole house is really fast. had 4 people working on virtual meetings and all using the wifi, no issues. you do need a true modem, getting it up and running was a bit tricky but once of that hurdle it's great. I also have a smart home and I do use as many devices as I can that don't need wifi (zigbee, thread, etc.).

Overall decent mesh system with access to 3rd floor with 6-700Mbps up/down on a 1Gbps fiber conn. Main router on 1st, with satellites on second and third floor. Would work best when router is in between satellites. Would have loved to see more advanced network management features related to more wifi networks and throttling (especially given the price).

Good overall but issues with devices disappearing

I actually fist started with the RBK842 which is the Costco version of this kit which is basically the same thing with a slightly slower 2.4ghz band and it while it performed great speed wise and covered my entire house, I had issues with devices disappearing from the device list. I figured maybe it had something to do with the Costco version being gimped down and went and purchased the full retail version from Best Buy and while it performs the same great way with speed and coverage, I am once again having issues with devices disappearing from the device list. Let me make myself clear, they don't actually lose wifi, I just can't see them listed in the list of devices that are connected to either the router or the satellite. Not sure if this is something that can be fixed with a firmware update. My prior Orbi never had this issue so I'm hoping this can be fixed.

Very easy to set up. It significantly increased the speed (I am on fiber) and the range was extended significantly. The test will be when I set up the TV outside. Previously it would loose the signal but when I have tested it with the speed test at the same spot, it appears to be well connected out there.
