    Worry-free Mesh

I bought this mesh system in hopes of reducing the number of SSIDs, Wifi Routers, and signal dead zones in my home. This system delivers. One SSID, and no matter where I am in or out of my home (patio, deck, driveway), I get a solid fast signal.

Amazing wifi 6 router that's worth the cost

This router is amazing and pretty future proof for the time being with wifi 6 capabilities. My house is a bit tricky as the main portion of the house was poured concrete which gave the later additions a horrible wifi signal with every other router we tried. Now even in my backyard, I can almost get the full 500 down I pay for with my ISP! Even though my ps4 Pro and desktop are not wifi 6 capable, using the satellite as a wired bridge gives me almost the full speeds up/down I pay for as well. Truly an amazing router that is well worth the cost!

Amazing speed and range. Mesh routing is the only way to go. A little pricey, but that is typically for the best of its time.

So far the netgear orbi router works just fine.i could say it works great itself.its just that so far its been hard trying to get the ivp6 adressing to show up on my modem or the orbi router.it also took awhile to try to figure out how to bridge the modem to the orbi successfully.i now have it bridged but using xbox one gaming console and wired straight into the orbi router im still only receiving half of the upload and download speeds capable of the orbi router.so the product seems to work great but on my own end and my cable companys end its been very difficult trying to set up and figure everything out to work at top performance.but i am still happy with the purchase.the lady that helped me was very helpful and was very good at her job.

The fastest wifi I have ever experienced and I am a infrastructure lead specializing in expert non sense. Has wpa, wpa2, and wpa 3. Usually get link rates of 1000mbps on the other side of a 2000 sqft house. Basically game wirelessly and since I am average it makes little difference but my link rates are good and I don’t notice slow down at all. Great router and mesh networking item but expensive as all get out. Wifi 6 is worth it but must have compatible devices.

    $700 beta tester

I usually never post reviews online, but I was so exasperated by my initial experience with the Orbi AX6000 that I had to warn others. This new Orbi Wifi 6 router launch is clearly being used as a beta test as: 1) The speeds are not as advertised 2) The firmware is not even close to providing a stable experience 3) The software is lacking features worthy of a flagship router of this price point. At this point, you are spending $700 + tax to be a beta tester for Netgear. Before setting up the new Orbi AX6000 set, I was using an Orbi AC3000 set (router + satellite) and it was by far the best router I’ve ever used in terms of speed, stability, and ease of use. It was a very difficult proposition to justify trying out the new set, but given I’ve had the Orbi for 3+ years now and I want to be future-proof when I get more WiFi 6 devices, I decided to try it out (against the better judgement of all the initial negative reviews warning me). My equipment (including for testing): -Verizon Fios Gigabit service (900mpbs+) -Verizon Fios Gateway (WiFi off as per Verizon instructions) -Orbi AX6000 (in AP mode as per Verizon instructions) -iPhone 11 Pro – WiFi -Windows 10 PC – hard-wired to router The initial setup using the phone app was actually straightforward – even more so than when I initially setup the AC3000 (since that was all desktop based initially). However, after setting up a custom SSID, that’s where the issues began. The router would consistently show the purple/pink light and the router and satellite would lose connection. This was even using the latest firmware version (as of 10/30). I would intermittently lose connection. I probably reset, restarted, and rebooted the Fios gateway and router >10 times to just mitigate any potential DCHP issues. Finally, after an hour, the purple light went away and I got a stable connection. However, during the entire setup process, I continuously ran speed tests using Speedtest.net and Fast.com and was only getting 90 mbps down/up. Even after getting a stable connection, my speeds would not budge from 90 down/up. I hooked up my PC direct to my Fios Gateway just to doublecheck, and I was getting my usual 800-900 down/up with no issues. But, 90 down/up were both on the iPhone via WiFi and via my PC hard-wired into the router so my speeds were being severely crippled by the AX6000. I contacted Netgear support and after wasting an hour of my time with their overseas reps finally realized that the 2 support reps I spoke to had NO IDEA how to troubleshoot the device. One support rep told me to disable AX WiFi on the router to isolate the issue. I asked him: if I disable AX features, then what is the point of paying $700 for the new router? Guy was speechless as I’m pretty sure his manual had no idea how to respond to a question requiring critical thinking. It doesn’t make any sense to pay $700 for a router set that is advertised as working out of the box and then having to troubleshoot for 2+ hours turning on/off features. If you have Verizon Fios, be warned that there is a major issue with this new Orbi AX6000. I will try again to troubleshoot tonight because I’m not a quitter, but if I don’t get back to my initial speeds, this thing is going right back to Best Buy and I’m sticking with my old Orbi set. I’ve already wasted enough of my time trying to justify a $700 purchase. Or, I’ll potentially look at the Velop AX set that just came out if it gets good reviews.

This is the second one I have - the first didn't work - after several hours of frustration and trying everything I could think of or find on internet, I took it back to the store. Looked at other options, but this was the only one in stock, so I got a new on. This set up was simple and now works well. Possibly just a bad one, but if there was another brand available at that time, I would have likely tried something else.

Paid the extra for these as I was able to have the internet speeds greater than 1 gb. Also setup LAN backhaul so that each satellite has full speed despite distance from main device.

Great mesh system for a large home. I had a RAX120 Wifi 6 router previously, but it struggled to get signals up to my second floor. It also had issues with connectivity. Not sure if that was due to us having 35+ devices or not... The Orbi 6 AX6000 has been able to consistently get signals to my second floor, and at much higher speeds. The only issue I had was in the initial set up, as the app would not detect the network (perhaps due to my phone updatng to iOS 14) but was able to set everything up on a laptop.

This 2-pack is enough for the wi-fi needs in our 2 story house, 3000sqft. We probably have 40-50 devices connected (lots of home automation things), and these kind of handle the load. I've noticed that devices, including my computer, will randomly lose connection for about 5-10 seconds and then reestablish the link. I've never had a problem like this with previous routers.

After months of issues with the home network and an older nighthawk router I pulled the trigger on an Orbi system. We have a 3,800 soft home and this pair is giving us nearly 800 mbps in all areas of our home with over 30 devices connected. The only issue we have is that for some reason every night around the same time we lose connectivity for about 15 minutes on mobile devices. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. I would highly recommend this setup for anyone having some dead spot issues or high volume of devices
