Twice the cost-but same results as TP-Link Deco M5

For the high rating that this product seems to get, I was sorely disappointed in the performance. Sure, the application and setup are straight forward and easy, but each unit is 3 or 4 times as big as the TP-Link Deco M5 that I currently have. I tried the previous version and had many of the same frustrations and issues whereas the Deco worked and why I bought it several years ago. My Deco units regularly get as good or better speed that this Orbi did, and the ethernet backhaul and seamless WiFi network on my Deco was much better. Moving through my house I don't drop network or have to pick up the other router/ap with my Deco, but I did with the Orbi. The only advantage I see is double the LAN ports, but they were no better than using a separate 6-port device that cost $40! There are options within the setup controls but they only made it worse. I also did a power outage test and many of my devices would not reconnect without my power cycling them after the Orbi was back online. With my Deco, they all reconnect without manual intervention. I'll wait for the Deco X60 or X90 to get WiFi 6 from a router/ap system and I'll not only save at least $200 vs. this, I'll get better speed and it will be much smaller!

I have 3500 sq ft home. I had a nest mesh system with 3 access points and a router. This system struggled to keep up. This orbi with a router and two access points blows it out of the water and easily blankets my home. The dedicated back channel is a must with these syatems to ensure speed and percormance. I was always put off by the proce but they are well worth it. I wish i would have done so sooner. It would have saved me time and money.

Easy set up. Good speeds! Although it’s possible that with the location of my satellites, there may be some wave interference leading to slower than expected speeds (although still very good speeds).

Really like. Used to have powerline adapters and Spectrum upped our speed for free, but the powerline would not support. Bought these and up and running at full speed in about 30 minutes.

Setup is straightforward and very easy. Download the Orbi app and follow the steps. Up and running in 10 minutes. Use case: 3 level 3500 sq. ft. home for a family of 6. 4 phones, PS4, 3 smart TVs, as well as 4 kids doing virtual classes from home, and myself working from home. The Orbi has handled all of it and has provided WiFi coverage to every corner of the house. Upgrading from the NightHawk R7000 and we no longer have connectivity issues. Pricey but well worth it!

The coverage my current provider could manage with all the extras including mesh pods was pathetic. After adding the Orbi router and mesh system, the coverage has been fantastic! There are a few exceptions where typical household devices worked fine on my previous network, some devices just won’t connect. I created a few workarounds for those and am completely happy with the new system.

What a difference this model Orbi router system makes compared to the unit below this one. My internet speeds for 1gb download speeds do not slow down. I’m actually getting what I pay for internet speeds.

I was having trouble with my wi-fi connections and after all other possibilities were eliminated I determined it was my router. I purchased the Ax6000 and have no regrets. I am now getting the speeds advertised by my internet provider and my coverage area has at least doubled. I also plug in to the satellite and works wonderfully. The only downside to me is the cost but you get what you pay for and for me it was definitely worth the price.

So let me start by saying I live in a gig city. In fact, we get more like 1.5 gigs. The equipment that our provider supplied was ultra fast, but couldn't support all our smart devices. My husband is a geek. 4 computers, every light bulb in a 3500 sq ft house (about 35), security system, 10 wireless cameras, doorbell cam and all kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge) and laundry (washer and dryer) appliances are connected, 4 smart 4k TVs, 2 PS5s, 1 PS4, 3 Google hubs, 2 wireless printers, 4 phones, 4 smart watches, 3 tablets, 2 Nest Learning Thermostats, outdoor theater ALL connected at the same time. That doesn't even count any guests connections when we have company. After tons of research, it seemed like Orbi handled the most devices. So I spent the money. We needed something. We are way to inpatient to have things freezing or lagging. Downloaded the Orbi app, plugged it in and within minutes it was up and running. Literally almost plug and play. It found our old wifi name and adopted it so all the electronics in our house automatically connected with zero fuss. As far as performance. WORTH EVERY PENNY. This thing is even faster than the modem our provider supplied and it doesn't even break a sweat with all our devices running at the same time. Yes we literally tried to overload it and couldn't. Not sure what features others are expecting, but if you just need fabulous super high speed wifi with the ability to handle more devices than you can count, then spend the money. I couldn't possibly be happier or love it more.

Just got it fulk setup and operational under 20 minutes. Mobile App guide you very well. I had before an expensive linksys router with 8 antennas to cover my 3200 sq feet house where I was losing signal ans speed in my backyard ans garage!! Probles solved immediately with orbi (1 router 1 satellite) Now getting full speed/signal everywhere. Telling you, its not cheap, but its the best solution in the market. No more wifi extender. Thanks Netgear

I bought these because my older dual band router was starting to drop some of our connected devises. Did some research and found these this Orbi AX6000 received the highest rating with the price being the only drawback. It took me about 2 months to finally pull the trigger on this purchase. Had these for about 2 1/2weeks now. Thus far, absolutely great. We've had as many as 26 devices connected at once when our kids and grand kids are visiting (including all our devices). I wish reconnecting all my devices was as easy at setting these up. If the price point isn't an issue and your in the market for a new network, I'd recommend pulling the trigger. The Ordi app is nice to see what devices are connected and sharing your new network password with others. The app could have more control over your network. I'd like to be able to easily change the channels that the signals are broadcasting on and this would be a nice add to the app. I'll have to dig around in the web direct connection to see if I can figure it out. I can see the signal interference/overlap with the inSSIDer app, so I am able to fine tune the signals so they don't overlap with neighbors, The only con in my opinion is the security feature Armor. I disabled it after a few hours of activating it. Not something I'm interested in. But if you are, you only get 30 days free and then there is a fee.

Works as advertised. It has great coverage, including a satellite that is in a shed that is several hundred yards from the main router, I have over 60 devices--mostly plugs and switches; however, I still do not understand how the various devices are assigned to each of the ORBI units. One plug that is within a foot of the main router is assigned to a satellite that is several hundred feet away. One satellite that is hundreds of yards away from a device is picking-up that device when the device is only a few feet from another satellite. Despite my not knowing how ORBI assigns devices, the ORBI system works exceptionally well.
