Excellent performance and great coverage within our 2 story home. We have 3 TV's using Fire Sticks, 2 work-from-home setups utilizing MS Teams voice and video, and a network streaming stereo DAC streaming 32-bit/384kHZ FLAC and DSD256 files with no problems. Set-up was easy with the Orbi app. A great complement to the Netgear CM2000 cable modem. Only complaint - VERY expensive.

This product is awesome. Covers my 4200 sq ft home almost perfectly. Just one spot that cant be reached. Overall very satisfied with the product with its easy setup. Do not need a computer to set this up. Can set up directly from smartphone. Easy installation and setup. Only thing i have a problem with is the price which seems pricey to me. However i enjoyed the product regardless.

I purchased the Orbi AS6000 3-pack. I already have a Netgear Nighthawk R8000 but the WiFi coverage was weak with 4200 sq ft of house and outdoor coverage needed as well for cameras and garage coverage for irrigation system and garage door openers. I opted to keep the R8000 as my primary for all of my wired connections and shut off WiFi on it. Connected the Orbi base via Cat6 to my R8000, set my two Orbi remotes about 60 feet away for optimal coverage and used the simple app to complete setup and updates. I now have zero dead zones (including the garage), and am getting anywhere from above 1G WiFi link for close devices (15 ft) to 300Mb for devices well over a 100 ft away outdoors. I went slightly over recommendations going with the 3 node, but better than under-engineering it. 2 weeks in and not a single issue for any devices (28 WiFi devices) and my wired connections remain as they were.

This is a wonderful router......great speeds, easy setup, excellent range, esp 5Ghz. Had started with Amazon Eero. The router seemed to install well enough but then the network began to degrade. After hours of customer service (?) attempts to rectify, the verdict was that there were 'unique' problems and that they would be 'in touch.' So reconnected the old Linksys equipment and went shopping. The Orbi AX6000 had good reviews so bought it et voila.....connection was quick, coverage was incredible with no dead spots over 5000 sq ft....speeds were amazing. 5Ghz connections were solid unlike the Linksys equipment. Netgear supporting software is far superior to Eero which uses only phone apps for network management. Never was a particular fan of Netgear....did buy their switches which held up.....but this Orbi router has made me a Netgear fan.

Very good coverage, mostly reliable and fast wifi speeds, but too expensive. The only thing missing is wifi 6E capability, but if you do not have any devices that can use wifi 6E, then this is the best mesh router that I have used, and I did test a few out - Linksys, Nighthawk, etc.

Everything that was said in reviews it delivers. Great range, reaches areas of my house and yard that my previous wifi could not or had weak signals. I used to reset my router 3 - 4 times a day, the orbi never requires it. Super fast, no dropped band that I've noticed. As others have said it is on the pricier side but worth it in my opinion. Very easy setup and conversion.

I was conflicted over which Mesh network system to go with. I was split between the Eero and Orbi, but of course I went with Orbi because of the Ethernet ports and prior experience with NetGear products. So Orbi won and the #1 reason I purchased was for the speed and amazing coverage (2800 sq ft house). There are plenty of systems out there that work for others due to various factors but I'm glad i choose this system. So, I’ve had this system set up for about 25 days and I have to say it is terrific. Coverage in our home is “total”, no dead spots. For some reason I like to watch TV in the shower and my Verizon router/modem could not meet the range demand. The speed is great (close to 400mbps down). My wife and kids are the power consumers, so we have CPU's, PS5, VPN’s, 4 laptops, 4 TV's, Firesticks and phones all connected and it has been flawless. When I read reviews of this system a big complaint was the setup App was awful. Well maybe they’ve upgraded it since the reviews because I found the app to be totally fine. Setup was pretty easy unlike my Verizon router electronics that connected were automatically named, in the event I want to kick my kids off for whatever reason :) but I really can’t find fault with this at all. Must buy if you have the money and the need is there!

I'm not going to lie, this thing is pricey and some of you looking at this review have probably asked, who the frick is buying this thing? I was in the same position but honestly, I needed to fix my wifi. Cable company's wifi router was putting out a crap signal, extenders helped a little but it slowed it down more. Plugged the router into my cable router, set up was fast, and the difference is unbelievable. Speed to my son's PS5 is 10 times faster. My kid's computers in their room were getting max 20mbps, now they are over 300mbps. Between every computer, gaming system, security cams, phone, thermostat, etc we have over 30 things connected and the system doesn't flinch. Get the most out of your system, get great coverage. You can cry about the price on a tik tok video you can upload fast AF, maybe get someone send some cash to lessen the pain.

I purchased the 3-pack system. However, I don't know if all 3 were necessary but just in case I added one in each level. And wow this baby is is super fast. Setup wasn't too hard, I downloaded the app on my iPhone, I followed the steps and at first it wouldn't detect the Orbi router so I tried the app on my ipad and that detected it right away. The internet speed is definitely super fast. Videos load fast, when you fast forward the videos continue playing as if you never hit anything. There is no lag at all, websites load fast. The family is happy. I recommend Orbi if you want to increase your speed. It definitely does the job. I think is expensive but at the end the expense is worth it because it does what is supposed to do. I have Arlo cameras, Nest, Ring doorbell, Philips Hue and all are working fine. I didn't have to do anything to Arlo cameras and Hue lights they all reset by itself. I was worried about it but I guess once you reset your modem it takes care of it, at least it did for me. The other devices I did have to update the network settings but that was simple. It took a bit because I have a lot of wireless devices. So far I haven't had any dropped connections. I hope it continues like that.

I purchased the orbi to replace my Google Nest Mesh setup which included 3 routers hard wired to improve coverage in a home that kills wifi!
I had some difficulty installing but it was my fault when I made my xfinity router a bridge for google and thus was not recognized by Orbi... Once I figured out my issues it installed perfectly.
Performance compared to google is ranging anywhere between 100mbps and as high as 400mbps faster! Really noticed as I kept adding wifi plugs, light switches, etc. my google really bogged down, but more so it never ever achieved the 950mbps I'm getting with the AX6000 Router!!!
We have a 3 story home with our wiring in the basement so setup router in basement with satellite on 1st and 2nd floor and WOW WOW WOW... this thing is AMAZING with average 400-500mbps vs google 150mbps.
If you can afford it due to old/slow wifi Orbi is so worth it.

This Orbi package provides outstanding wifi coverage, indoors and outdoors. We have a 2 story house (5200 sq ft), and Ring cameras at several places outdoors. Now that this system is in place, we get blazing fast and strong coverage everywhere! The only drawback is the price, but you do get what you pay for!

This Orbi 850 is fast and leaves no dead zone for our ranch style house. Once you set it up you can forget able it. When in doubt, look on the Orbi app to get all the info you need on how it is working. This is my 3rd Orbi system in the last 5years. If you run into trouble Netgear will help you 90 days. Then BestBuy Tech will help for the next 24 months. But my experience is once set up you will not need them.

The Preformance of the netgear Ax6000 is outstanding. I get consistent speeds for the most part on all my devices and its very efficent. I personally got this and was new to the Mesh Wi-Fi systems. Set up due to user error on my end didnt work properly at first, but after a factory reset on the router it set up like a charm. I average about 900MBS down and 40MBS Up as i pay for 1 GB down and 30 UP im more then satisfied. One downside for some users is thay the. 2.4 and 5 G bands are under one wifi name. Which means you cant put certain devices on certain bands the router does it for you l. In all i would recommended this to anyone who has the need for it.

These were easy to set up and the speed were great! I really liked them. But, you are not able to separate the bands (have one SSID on 2.4 and one on 5ghz) The trouble is that if you have smart devices (light bulbs, switches, outlets, etc) the 5.0ghz band is so strong, you can't connect to the 2.4 band and makes setting up these devices difficult. After 3 days of trying to find a solution (but with super fast WiFi to help with the search), I returned the Orbi and went with the ASUS ZenWiFi AX router. It is also great and gives me the ability to separate the bands. If you just want range and speed, the Orbi actually had a little bit stronger signal. (Both easily cover most houses).

This is the 2nd Orbi mesh system I have purchased. I really loved the first one and it has done well. I had to add satellites due to he width of my home but they meshed together nicely.
I purchased this new one bc it allows for more square footage with less satellites and has much newer WiFi technology.
We can connect many more people and devices effectively without loss of signal and the quality of the upload and download speeds are exceptional.
Orbi continues to be the best mesh system I have researched and utilized.

Covid forced my family to study and work from home !! Needed a Mesh network that would meet our work (online zoom meetings, emails , social chat groups) and play need ( xbox video gaming, music, 4K tv streaming, etc, etc)
I can not express how simple it was to set this network up. It took me literally less than 30 minutes to cover my house, (Garage and back yard included in the 6000 square foot property!!) One satellite and two repeaters from Netgear !! that is all it took and my family of five is ecstatic !! thankyou netgear - really appreciate the innovation and attention to customer usability. Bestbuy was excellet too as a retailer for this product. They simply shipped fast reliably and without glitches. Love them. Will always use them for my eletronic needs

I would give this a 4.5 stars but cannot. This router and satellite is amazing. This really takes advantage of my 1g speeds. The range is amazing fully covered beyond the house.
5stars.
However, the application they direct you to use will not work for set up. If you set up and after update you cannot access these through the app. Just plug into the router and access this through 192.168.1.1 (admin/pass) and finish the update there. For the price point you don’t expect this.
4stars.
Overall I love this and it works greats for covering my 3 floors I needed covering, but it’s a bit expensive.

Let me talk you into Orbi

Look. I’m not going to sit here and dissect the intricacies of tri-band mesh networking.
I will however relate to you some simple thoughts.
First, as a user base it’s my wife and I with about 18 devices in a two story home with sheet rock walls. You can imagine the amount of airplay, smart thermostat, smart light (granted it’s Hue, so no network bandwidth really) gaming, hi-res streaming, video calling (she and I both work from home variably), etc that happens. It’s a lot, and our network is constantly being utilized by something.
Orbi handles this like a dream and with just about zero setup involved.
Second, two stories of sheet rock is a BEAR to cut through. I haven’t found anything that will do it until Orbi. The way they have the third band backloading the mesh traffic is…well eloquent and kind of magical. Goodbye dead zones, goodbye buffering media and dropped calls. We can pull downstairs the same data rates that we pull upstairs 12 inches from the router.
Orbi is the best for this…short of dropping Cat 6 in all of your walls and installing an Orbi Pro (or cough Ubiquiti dream machine and WAP setup cough) in your home. This setup was built for the home and for individuals who don’t want to have to learn python and a bit of JSON to get their router to do what they need. Ok that’s an exaggeration, but you get what I mean.
Which brings me to third and last… I am an IT Professional by trade, and oversee enterprise grade everything under the sun for a medium sized corporation. I’ve seen amazing networks and the worst. I enjoy coming home and not having to think about it (I know, weird right).
Here are some cons for those who are glass half empty like me:
-If you’re a gamer like me and need to be able to geo fence to a 300 sq mile radius for pinging that disgustingly close server…yea this isn’t for you. Netgear XR 1000 is amazing with Duma OS, but it’s not mesh…and that’s why Orbi rules. Solid speeds everywhere.
-if you, like me (but I’m letting it go) like to split your network allocation manually (or god forbid setup VLANs at home)…this router definitely isn’t for you. You cannot split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz. You have to let the Orbi handle it. So this con, is not much of one, because it does it really well for the most part.
-Last con…cost…but cmon…it works, and good luck finding a piece by piece setup that will net you near 1:1 speed in every foot of your home (and 45ft outside your home for that matter, it’s intense)
