Made Nest Wifi look bad.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought both this and Nest WiFi with the decision of returning whichever was worse. Orbi 6 won. Easily. Better range, significantly better performance, and familiar tweakable Netgear software. Haven't had any issues, firmware, stability, or anything. Setup takes about 3 minutes and it's easy to reposition the satellite around your house to find the best spot. Literally only complaint is price, but there's always an upcharge to get the newest/best.

Life changing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.prior to this system I we had a single router with little range and limited device capabilities. it was impossible to run a smart home and frustrating when our cameras kept going offline. after upgrading to the orbit system were able to hold 54 devices online with out any issues there aren't any dead spots at home and most importantly we can have wifi and control our outdoor speaker from the yard and all our smart home devices maintain wifi connection and haven't had a single drop in connection. truly life changing and gave us huge peace at mind knowing that our home is always covered.

Solid performance, but pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Orbi AX6000 system after trying to get a Ubiquiti Amplifi Alien mesh network to work. The Alien has some unique features that I loved, but the wireless speeds were nowhere close to what I got on a wired connection, and this was the two Alien satellite units hard wired to the main router. Ubiquiti was aware of my issues, but when I realized they had been going on for over a year without a resolution, I returned the Alien units and purchased the Orbi. I've been pleased with the Orbi in terms of coverage and reliability. The wireless speeds are not as fast as some five year old routers I had configured as access points, but since this is a true mesh network with a single SSID, I'm willing to accept the somewhat slower wireless speeds in return for the convenience of a network with a single SSID so I can roam about the house and not have to manually tell my phone or laptop to connect to a different AP. So far, I have seen no impact on browsing or streaming despite the slower wireless speeds. The Orbi setup behind my FIOS 900 Megabit connection was straightforward, but significantly difference from the old hoder. The Orbi Android app provides adequate information. One minor irritant is the Device Manager screen which shows all connected devices, both wired and wireless, and purports to describe each type of device with a label such as "Laptop" or " Smartphone", etc. It's only about 70% accurate, but the frustrating part is that you can change the designation to correctly describe each device, but the app does not remember that manually entered designation. The Orbi three pack is pricey, and depending on the type of structure you are trying to cover and the layout, you might only need one or two devices. Depending on your internet speeds, you might not need this WiFi 6 (AX) device and could survive find with I have about 40 devices connected to the network, but the majority, and all of the high bandwidth devices, are hard wired with gigabit ethernet so they do not impact the wireless network. The wireless network covers my 6000 sq. ft., two story plus basement house very well with no dead spots. While I have not had to contact Netgear tech support regarding the Orbi, a prior experience with Netgear tech support was bad. Internet reports of Netgear tech support suggest it is still substandard. Internet reports also suggest a rather high failure rate shortly after expiration of the one year warranty. For that reason, I purchased the Geek Squad extended warranty, something I rarely do. At least I know I'm covered for four years. By that time there will probably be something better available. I considered waiting to see what new mesh network products might become available soon that will support WiFi 7, but actual products which support that new standard are likely to be at least a year away, and none of my current devices will benefit from that faster speed. I expect the Orbi to be adequate for some years to come.

Pricey, but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a google nest mesh system with this since the google mesh appeared to have reached capacity and was having degraded performance - dropping devices, poor signal, etc. My very old brick house does not carry signals well and my cabling is minimal, seeing as how my smart devices overwhelmed the google mesh, I upgraded to something that could handle more devices with better speeds - thanks wifi 6. Only complaint is the price, it was steep but with everything beginning to fail, it was a necessary evil and having working internet is priceless.

Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh System
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My new Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh WiFi System increased my download and upload capabilities to amazing speeds. It was relatively easy to set up. The Geek Squad did a great job but we did hit some minor snags getting it online. The internal firewalls with Orbi have been problematic, some of my streaming apps are blocked. Customer service was NOT helpful! Major Bummer!!

Awesome Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second set. The first set worked for about 9 months, and the satellites would no longer connect. Best Buy honored the warranty, and I was given a new replacement. The product itself works awesome. There are zero dead spots in my 2700 sqft home. I like the capability to split my Wi-Fi to run all my IoT devices, such as smart lights, cameras, etc. Would definitely recommend it.

These things are BEASTLY.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my research before settling on these powerhouses, and I’m not regretting my purchase one bit! These give double to triple the speeds in the far corners of my house, and I have absolutely no dead zones. If you’re on the fence about getting these, just get them. It’s a costly investment, but you’ll be set for years. Highly recommend. Just make sure to get a modem that can handle the speeds these can. I went with a nighthawk cm2000.

Pricey but very good.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system was very easy to set up. The mobile app works well. The coverage is good, although hampered a bit by walls and metal objects like water heaters, ovens, and washing machines. Moving from one part of the house to another is a joy - there is no dropped connection, each unit seamlessly picks up from the other. I have a two storey house, total square footage around 3,600 feet, and I am contemplating getting a fourth unit to strengthen signal in my garage/workshop. The system is pricey but my experience so far is flawless.

Over-priced, but pretty good performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was out of town, and my wife was home when our existing mesh router mysteriously died. I ordered this one because A) we’ve had good experience with Netgear products in the past, and B) it was available at our nearest Best Buy, so that my wife would not have to endure too much down time from work. Usually I’m the one who installs most of the tech stuff in our house, but with me out of town at the time, my wife had to do the installation herself. Her installation complaints were that the initial set up required her to download an app on her phone, which meant that without existing WiFi, she had to use some of our cellular data to do so. She said that the installation hit a snag about midway through, but she was able to complete the installation via regular web interface. When I got home a few days later, I was able to fine tune the installation to my particular preferences (e.g., guest network, custom DNS, etc.) All in all, it’s been working well since then (about a month now). I’ma tad upset that it was as expensive as it was, and that our prior Orbi mesh satellites are not compatible with this router.

Orbi wifi router

Excellent Speed and Coverage
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been very happy with the Orbi WiFi 6. Our home has roughly 80 devices connected at all times (mostly IOT devices). All of our devices have stayed connected without issue. The 3 unit set is probably overkill for our home but we are getting 700 Mbps throughout the house consistently. Setup was very issue through the mobile app. My only tiny complaint is the mobile app is just ok. Gives you the basic needs but a few more options would have been great. Maybe that will be fixed in future updates to the app.

Excellent router, albeit a bit pricey
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second Orbi router I've bought. I bought it to replace and Eero Pro that was very disappointing in almost every aspect - performance (speed), admin interface, flexibility, etc. This is a worthy successor to the original Orbi - covers my house quite well, excellent speed, good control interface. Setup was easy, and with a few minutes of planning, the disruption to my home network was less than 2 minutes. The only "fly in the ointment" is the price - a bit expensive, but, as they say "You get what you pay for"

Great mesh wifi....more stable than Google Nest
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the latest Google Nest wifi mesh with 3 points and added a 4th. The wifi signal was continually dropping. Perhaps interference with other signals or walls? Switched to Orbi and what a difference. Stable signal. FAST! Latency ping tests are steady and very quick. We have zoom meetings all day. Gaming on multiple xbox's. Streaming TV. Never an issue. Highly recommend over Google Nest.

|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t hesitate. Get this mesh router. Easy to set up. And IT WORKS! All day and night, 24/7. Speeds up to 6G, thats fast. Anything over 500mbps is good for me but who doesn’t like more speed. Very realible too.

Dad! The wifi is not working!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to not to write reviews until I'm sure the product works, specially if you are spending lot of money for a WiFi product, in this case the money is totally worth spending. I have a 2 story house and omg the WiFi signal... Tried new router, extenders, wall extenders....but this Orbi solved all my problems, not a dead zone, fast speed everywhere in the house.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1. Range is excellent. Getting around 650mbps down anywhere around my 1000sq home 2. Honestly doesn't look very much like a router 3. Setup took less than 5 and that was including a software update 4. App is simple, but intuitive. Anyone can easily learn how to use it 5. Each orbi has LAN ports and link aggregation 6. Channel optimization (important for those that life in area where there's congestion) Cons: 1. Price. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for 2. Can't separate bands 3. It's got a noticeable footprint as does the power adapter Overall thoughts: Would definitely recommend this to a friend, however I really did wish they would have the option to separate the bands. Would've helped my Ring cameras + smart lock have stronger signal, but I ended up buying bridges for them separately. The performance exceeded my expectations. Thought that it would top out at around 450mbps-500mbps.

Expensive but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been trying to set up reliable internet at my house for two years. The house size is two stories and about 5400 square feet. This has made it a challenge to get reliable internet on both floors and on the sides. We also have a firestick we use for an outdoor television. At first I had the Netgear Nighthawk and it seemed to work ok. Then about 6 months ago it kept getting kicked off the network and the mesh component didn't seem to work well. I would show connected but no internet on several devices. As I use Uverse, I then purchased 6 of their own wireless extenders that are quoted as a mesh network thinking maybe their gateway didn't play nice with other companies. These were awful. About 3 weeks ago I purchased the Orbi AX6000. It was expensive but the headaches I had from losing internet/streaming for the rest of the family are gone now. We have not had any dropped streaming devices (fire sticks and iPads). The computers have connected without issue. I no longer show connected but no internet. This is probably the best purchase I have made for the electronics in the house. It was expensive but definitely worth it for me.

Orbi AX6000-Big, bulky, and pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things are HUGE and take up some space! Who wants to wall mount and run a wire down the wall. The fit better on a shelf or table. Pretty pricey for a mesh system even if it is wifi-6. The signal doesn't seem to be as strong as my other Linksys system that was wifi-5. The system seems to do it's job of keeping one uninterrupted network but when you go outside the Linksys works and the Orbi Pro AX6000 seems to falter and they are in the same spots.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
