Couldnt even set up the satellite where i wanted

My smartphones connect to the nearest one, so that seems good. But because of the lack of range i might need to buy more than the 3 because i want my back yard to get coverage. Also, the Ping is really bad. It was like 18ms when connected right next to the satellite farthest from the main router.

Keeps kicking things off the network

It keeps kicking devices such as a PlayStation and smart thermostat off the network. Also, other devices will connect directly to the main hub three rooms away but not to a satellite in the same room as the device. I will be contacting the manufacturer. I see no difference in speeds either.

Wi-Fi drops! Good luck if you’re not tech savvy

Thought it would be great. But have noticed it’s been dropping the Wi-Fi more and more as time progresses. Today is so bad I decided to return it especially after researching online suggestions which seem a little out of my realm as I am not a technician. And just my luck yesterday was the last day of my return window. I’m now stuck with a Wi-Fi system I have to Waste my precious time on. NOT PLEASED!

Satellite defective out of the box

NETGEAR should be ashamed

Have spent over 4 hours trying to get the NETGEAR router to connect to me Xfinity Internet service. No helpful product documentation. No troubleshooting information. I have searched the NETGEAR website with absolutely no help. I have used Linksys routers for 15+ years. Thought I would try NETGEAR. You spend a couple hundred dollars on a product and you expect it to work. Pathetic, NETGEAR, absolutely pathetic. The app is terrible. The one small instruction card is worthless. NETGEAR should be ashamed of themselves.

Not as good as other Mesh systems

The AC1200 system is more buggy, harder to setup has shorter range and not as reliable. I do not recommend.

Best Buy rep guarding the doors sold me something

Cell phones drop Wi-Fi as they pass other satellites. Apparently each device is paired to the satellite or the base that is closest to it at set up. Works great for TVs and desktop computers. Really sucks for cell phones and laptops that move around the house. Bought this for Best Buy was selling products from the front door so I couldn’t see what I wanted anyway. Now the return period is over and I’m stuck with expensive piece of electronics.

Poor WiFi Signal Strength

Remote units showing a good connection to the base (blue light), but unable to maintain reliable strength for just a few low-consumption devices. Frequently drops the signal. Having to return and upgrade to a more capable option. Buyer beware.
