Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the Orbi AC1200 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System's ease of use, impressive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, leading to improved performance and uninterrupted streaming. Many appreciate the quick and simple setup process. While some experienced internet connection issues, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs these concerns for most users. The system is also praised for its reasonable price point.

Totally disappointed.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to try to return or replace today. I've been rebooting and it just doesn't stay connected. It's supposed to extend up to 4500 square feet. My house is 2500 square feet. I get better stability without it. It's an expensive piece of junk.

Terrible product, terrible service at Netgear
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Completely awful. Would not recommend to anyone!! Worked fine for a couple of months then it just stopped working. Tried calling Netgear for support and they wanted to charge me!! I’d give the product zero stars if I could!

Great for a large house
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently received an Orbi Whole Home WiFi System (RBK13) through the NETGEAR First Look Review program. We currently are using a WiFi router from our cable company, along with a WiFi extender upstairs. Our house is over 3,000 sq feet, two stories. We’ve always had problems getting a consistently strong signal throughout the house. Our outdoor lighting and sprinkler control systems our controlled by my phone so I need a strong signal. So far, it’s been challenging getting a signal so I’ve had to program everything manually. The Orbi Whole Home WiFi System provides the strong signal needed to cover my entire house, indoors and outdoors. It says on the product description that it covers up to 4500 sq feet and 20+ devices. it’s exactly what we needed for our home. It came in a well designed, simple, no frills packaging. The installation process was moderately easy. The instructions were paired down to the simplest and easy to understand verbiage. We’ve owned other NETGEAR products in the past and we always appreciate how the instructions are fairly simple for people who are not tech savvy. Everything worked as it was supposed to with my phone and the QR code. The performance has been great indoors!! We are getting full signal bars throughout the inside of the house. On the outside, the signal is not as strong as it is indoors but it’s strong enough for me to finally start using my phone to control the lights and sprinklers. We have not experienced any buffering while streaming movies. My kids are young adults so we haven’t needed to use the newest feature - NETGEAR Armor, Smart Parental Controls. I would imagine this is a great feature if you have younger kids. I would definitely recommend the Orbi Whole Home WiFi System (RBK13) to my friends and family. it’s reasonably priced and delivers the performance needed for a larger home.

Distance matters
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you are within 10 feet of the main router, there is a severe downgrade in speed. I have 1 GBPs internet and the satellites cannot even connect at 200 Mbps. I will be returning these this weekend.

Not worth the trouble.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The guide was so vague even on the app. And when I did get it working finally it was horrible. Then upon disconnecting it to return it my Wi-Fi now is completely messed up.

Great Extenders
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me start by saying these are better than the current ORBI Extenders I have. With Xfinity I have Gig speed and these give me close to that speed when doing a speed test with the ORBI app on my iPhone. Setup was easy just plug and play Features - I didn't play around with these for guest control or parental control. As I didn't need this Performance - The product out performed what I currently had in my house. Expectations - I have to say at first I was a little skeptical due to the 1.2 GHZ when my old ORBI had 2.2 GHZ but I was blown away on how fast these were. Price - You can't put a price tag on fast wireless so this is a very good price for these. I would highly recommend these to anyone in the market for extenders.

Buy a better one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Internet cuts out a lot, and only 1 of the 2 pucks work. Overall would have gone with a better version or product.

Excellent Router for greater coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclosure - I received the product as part of NETGEAR’s First Look Review Program I love the router. For what it promises it delivers on the promise. Pros Blazing fast internet speeds Easy to set up Great signal strength over a large area Easy to manage UI Cons One big drawback of the router is limited ports and just one external output port. This is a serious drawback when several network devices are connected to the main home router. So the router needs a network switch/port extender to support home network devices Another drawback is parental control. Circle is ineffective and I would not recommend users depend on it since it can be bypassed in a couple of minutes by any persistent teenager. The smart tag/QSG code can easily be missed since it is really small and users might think it is a part of packaging and throw it away

Setup in 5 mins with excellent performance!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup: I started by installing the app on your phone, scanned the QR code at the bottom of the main router, and then it prompted just a few more steps for entering basic preferences such as wifi network name, password etc. I got it up and working in less than 5 mins. Had the 2 satelittes plugged in with power and they paired with the base automatically with confirmation during the setup prompts. Wifi Coverage: I have the 2 satellites setup in a single house in a size of 1600 sqft. Getting 5 bars full coverage everywhere including front and back yards. Love the simple and modern design, and how the base and the satellites share a consistent look so it gives a consistent look around the house. The only minor thing that I wish could have been better is the fact that there's only 1 LAN port on the base. If you have more than 1 wired devices need to be connected, you'd have to purchase a additional network switch seperately. With the built in Circle parental control feature, I was able to manage how my kids consume various contents online. With each kids of different ages defined as profiles, it allows setting time limits, contents by age levels and etc. I received this product as part of NETGEAR’s First Look Review Program. I highly recommend this for anyone who're looking for an edge router system on the market.

Solved a long-standing problem for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some history to start. I've got a pretty decently sized house, about ~2000 square feet, and its older construction makes getting Wifi from one side of the house to another a real pain in the rear. I've been through many different router brands over the years, and no matter where I placed them, no matter how big the antennae were or how great their range claimed to be, at least one room in my home would experience a spotty connection. It's been this way since I first installed WiFi in my home years ago, and I thought I'd just have to deal with it. Until now. My problem is solved! The Orbi 3-pack covers my whole house, front to back, with no dead spots in any room! One unit goes in a bedroom next to the ISP's modem, one goes in a kitchen, centrally located, and one goes in the living room. I get speeds that are on par with what I'd get standing right next to my old router, with no discernible lag or latency from clear at the other end of the house. Very well done, and I wish this had existed back when Wireless-B was a thing! Setup was cake. You install the Orbi app on your smartphone (both Apple and Android supported), and it takes you through the process of setting everything up. The Orbi has two units, a router unit and a satellite unit (the router has an ethernet connection on the rear) and it will happily replace whatever router you're using. You may need to contact your ISP to get some information to go through the setup (in my case, I needed a username and password). For some more advanced setups, such as if you want to use this connected to a router you already own, VLANs, or the like, you'll need to go through the web setup on your computer instead. If you're familiar with the interface provided by most routers nowadays, Orbi has no surprises for you and I really can't find anything to complain about here. Wireless speed was great - I detected no great changes in wireless speed from one side of the house to the other, nor any hiccups in my connection. I can make video calls, walking from bedroom to living room from one side of the house to the other, without a single hitch. My only gripes here are minimal. The router unit only has a single Ethernet connection available (the first yellow-colored one is only for connecting to your ISP's gear), which means if you have multiple devices you want to wire in, you're going to need to invest in a switch. Additionally, there is no Ethernet connection, period, on the satellite units, which seems like a real missed opportunity. The Orbi is WiFi only everywhere but the router. Those two nits picked, I'm very happy with the Orbi. I did receive his product as part of NETGEAR’s First Look Review Program, but I am likely going to purchase another satellite or two out of my own pocket and try extending this system out to my garage. If current performance means anything, it'll be one of the biggest annoyances in my home well and truly solved. Very, very highly recommended. I only wish I'd known about it sooner.

Strong Wifi signal and easy set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the easiest wifi mesh system I had and it's so easy to set it up. It's also small, although I don't want to hide it because I fear it will reduce the signal, it's just nice being at the top of my table right next to a plant. I used to have a classic router and repeaters and it now has been replaced with the Orbi mesh and when I did the speed test, it gave me near speed of what I can get when I connect directly to the router. White color is fine. I wish there will be more color option in the future like black or camouflage.
