Excellent for homes 2000 sqf and under

Look: 10 / 10 User Friendly: 10/10 Range: 8/10 (for homes 2000 sqf. & under) All in all you can cover your home with a little playing around on positioning of the satellites. Note that this is a smart system meaning the satellites and router will know if they should connect directly to the Router or piggy back of another satellite. So Sat 1 (automatically) switches to Sat 2 if it is closer than the router. Really nice. Interface and icons as well as GUI is very nice (nicer than my Night hawk 7000) . All in all this is a great product for the price! I have recommended this product to a friend as well. I really do like it.

Product has expanded the range of my WiFi immensely. Product was simple to use (downloading an app and plugging in the devices). App has a ton of features relating to performance, security, and monitoring your internet usage. Devices also are compact and can blend in to any room. Would recommend. Received product as part of NETGEAR’s First Look Review Program.

Much better than my old router!

I had a single AC router that I had been using for years and always got great speeds except for the back part of my house where the bedrooms are. Got this to try and expand the coverage throughout my house and its like a night and day difference now. No longer do I need to worry if I will have signal in certain parts of my house because the whole house is covered. I even have coverage in dead zones that I had previously like in my bathroom. 4K movies on the toilet is a game changer!

Recently decided to cut the cord from my cable provider, which meant we're streaming Roku sticks on up to 4 TV's plus working from home. Our Cable provider's router interfered with our Sonos system, and would constantly crash when speeds exceeded 100Mbps. I bought the Netgear Orbi AC1200 and the difference was amazing. We cover 3800 sq ft by putting the main router upstairs in the central play room, and the two satellites are by the front and back entrances. we get outstanding range and speeds up to 400Mbps close to the router, with 20-40 Mbps out on the back patio. Exceedingly reliable, whereas I used to have to reboot the upstairs Spectrum router a couple times a day, I've only had to reboot Orbi like once in the past three months. User interfaces are very friendly on the App which gives you a network map, and lets you see all devices on the household and the speeds to those devices. You can switch the wifi on and off to a given device and create guest networks easily. Sonos has not dropped since we got orbi, where it used to constantly skip songs with the old spectrum router. Highly recommend this product.

Apart from nice design, the 2 satellite let me cover all my apartment with strong signal, and i have no more dead spot.

    Complete waste of money

After reading reviews on this site, I chose this system and was somewhat confident that it would be worth the reasonable cost. I had the system less than 48 hours before I decided to box it up and return it for a refund. In the 2 days I had it, I had to reboot the router about 10-11 times and even tried a complete reinstall twice. I followed the installation instructions exactly (several times) and followed suggestions on the Netgear website in an effort to keep this router online, but had no luck. This product is a complete waste of money and time!

on paper it sounds amazing. In practice its horrible. Their topology and device hopping is non existent. Everything wants to connect to the souter and not the satellite which have issues of their own. The want to be stand alone and will not dasychain like they are supposed to.
