Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System's ease of use, Wi-Fi coverage, and signal strength, with many praising its performance and range. The setup process is also frequently highlighted as simple and straightforward. While some customers find the price to be high, the positive feedback on performance and coverage outweighs this concern for many users.

We have had consistent, wide-spread coverage throughout. I replaced a Linksys 1900 with an extension. The problem was that your devices became confused about the network they should be on (Linksys 2.4, Linksys 5.0, Linksys Ext. 2.4 or Linksys Ext 5.0). The Orbi extender uses the same network without the need to switch. Very nice.

We have had the Orbi router and satellite in the home for 4 months now. Game changer. Easy set up. Not losing signal. Son couldn’t play Xbox online games before and this system fixed that. Fast worry free internet.

Provides a strong signal throughout the house- just be sure to update it after installing...we had some issues with signal strength early on, but updating it fixed the problem.

We have satellite internet and very thick double wall construction. It was difficult to find a location that had consistent wifi connection from modum and base router to the satellite booster. Dropped connections several times but quickly reconnected...it definately has a stronger signal and works better than our previous router with boosters.

Very easy set up and go type of router. I really like the fact that you can shut off certain devices if you want to. Even though I haven't used it yet I do like the fact that there is a separate guest account. The range that I have now is much better throughout the house than what I used to have.

I went in to my local Best Buy looking for a wi-fi extender and was told about this option. I am extremely happy with it. My wi-fi now is available in more of my house and has a better signal than before in every room. I’d recommend it to anybody looking to have wi-fi throughout a bigger home.

Because of the placement of my R8000 router, wifi connectivity was spotty at the opposite end of my 2500 sq ft house. At the recommendation of my Brother In-Law who is a Tech Fanatic I went with the Orbi System. I couldn't have been more pleased. Not only do I have better range, networks signal strength is consistent. I don't experience bogged down speeds when my kids are gaming/streaming. Wireless vs. Wired speeds are negligible and I'm on AT&T DSL at the moment (temporarily) . I've recommended the Orbi to everyone I know wanting to upgrade their wireless Routers. I would have given it 5 stars but even though setup was easy it wasn't as quick as I had thought it would be when getting the Wall Plug satellite to Main Orbi.

Switched from slow DSL to way faster Broadband, I wanted my own equipment that would handle my needs now and in the future. Geek Squad spent lots of time explaining to me how to choose the right system and how to set up. With the satellite I have fast wi fi everywhere on my 2 acre property.

I purchased it after reading lot of reviews and trying different routers. It was easy to set up. Took me about 30-45 min to set everything up. Netgear support was helpful. I got max 120mbps throughout the house, no dead zones. The only other mesh system that performed better than this was the Ubiquiti. I like Orbi better because I got a deal at $150. Ubiquiti is twice that. Also, Orbi didnot handle network traffic at night very well. Speeds were slow at night when houses around me were hogging the channels. I would recommend Orbi only if you get it a great price.

I live in a three story home with a large front porch and large back elevated deck. Before I purchased the Orbi, I could not get Wi-Fi on the deck and porch or in the bedrooms upstairs, but now I can move form room to room and outside on the deck and porch without losing reception.

After trying many wi-fi routers and gadgets to no avail,I can finally get a signal from the router in the bedroom(immovable) to my kitchen. I live in an apartment which used to be the basement of a circa 1800's house. The apartment is L-shaped with the kitchen and bedroom at opposite ends of the L. As we all know wi-fi signals only travel in straight lines,so the signal had to first go through an interior wall with metal studs, then exit through the original 1800's stone foundation(who knows what they used for support with the stones back then possibly metal lathe like in the old horsehair and plaster walls?) across an exterior space of about 25 feet then re-enter the stone foundation, and finally through another metal stud interior wall. These obstacles were a signal killer! Now with the main Orbi router in the bedroom and the satellite "IN" the kitchen and behind my tv, the signal is as strong as it is in my bedroom! I just love this device

I read the reviews and went in believing this product would meet my needs. It has exceeded expectations in every way. Easy to set up- coverage is fantastic (whole house and most of the yard). Recommend it to anyone over the routers with ugly antennae.

Orbi is one of the newer Tri-band mesh devices. Why Tri-band, so there is one access 2.4 and 5ghz band and a 5ghz band for the bridge that connects the base to the node. Setup is easy and painless. All Orbi is triband. Band the ac2200 and ac3000. The speed is better with the 3000, if you looking for 4K streaming then it's the one to get. The 2200 is fine for 1080p. The USB port is next to useless, only for printers, you cannot use it for hardrives. There seems to be a issue with Orbi dhcp at time so it use it only as a access point config. MESH is great for get the signal to every corner of you house, but it is far from prefect.

The set up instructions could be better. Slightly complicated and needed to be online to set up. Other than that it works great as promised. Signal is strong throughout our home. You also need to have a modem of your own. Make sure to buy one before set up.

If you are looking to extend your wifi, don't waste time with so called wifi extenders. The Orbi is what you need and want. No problems whatsoever. One SSID for everywhere.

The way my home is set up we have a difficult time getting Wi-Fi into our living room which is a converted garage. We had been using a Netgear router with an extender, which was spotty at best. When ever peak hours of service came around our internet speed would drop so significantly that the extender was useless. This setup with the satellite when it is connected the speed stayes the same no matter where in the house you are. Since my wife and I both work from home and we pay for Spectrums 300 MBPS service. Paying that much for internet and not getting Wi-Fi is very frustrating. The only drawback we have found with the ORBI is the satalite un syncs periodically and you have to hit the sync button on the side to reconnect. This only happens when it has gone into a "sleep" mode and it reconnects fast. There is also a drop in speeds if you are transferring from the base station to the satalite which only lasts for maybe a minute. Once you have been on the satalite for a few minutes the speeds pick back up. The transition from the base to the satalite happens automatically and doesn't require you to sign into a different router which was the case with the extender. Al in all we Happy so far. If you have a difficult home to cover or a family that uses a lot of devices this is a great option. The routers command interface is also very easy to use and the features are very impressive.

Extended WiFi reach throughout the entire house. No more rooms without WiFi. House is approximately 3,000 sq feet including basement. Orbi has given us a noticeable increase in internet speed on the other side of the house.

Wax having serious connection issues in my house. My router needed to be in my office for work which made the internet upstairs horrible. With the satellite plugged in up there it feels like it’s faster then downstairs.

The Orbi system eliminated dead spots in our house that other wireless routers could not. We can now access wifi reliably anywhere in our house. Very simple setup. Parental controls are super easy using a phone app. Highly recommend this combo.
