The Orbi was easy to set up. Allows reliable internet service across a broad area. Was able to set-up the three units strategically to provide coverage to the whole house (4300 sq ft) the back yard and garage. Provides reliable wireless connection for Ring doorbell as well.

So far, so good. I bought this to replace my existing wifi because my range extender was starting to fail. I've been researching mesh networks for a while now, knowing that when my existing setup failed i was going mesh. Orbi was always near the top of the reviews and I've used Netgear in the past and prefer their products compared to their competitors. Setup was easy, just read the manual and be a little patient. Everything was plug an play and I have full coverage from the basement to the second floor. Speeds match my ISP, so no issues there. One month and no complaints.

The wireless router was very easy to set up and has had pretty consistent performance. Lately, the satellites lose connectivity and it requires a quick reboot to get back online, otherwise great. The app is also very convenient.

I could not be more pleased with the Orbi Wifi mesh system. Setup was fast and easy. I needed to extend the network over four floors. This system reaches all four floors and the rooftop with practically no signal loss. Highly recommended.

After much research I chose the Netgear Orbi and am extremely happy I did! In a 3 level home we re able to get 100% WiFi signal throughout the entire home - I have not found a dead spot yet. Easy setup made this a breeze to get running.

Coverage like no other & easy to set up!

In a nutshell, this is by far the best router setup I've ever done and used! I live in a home that is almost 3400 sq-ft. It's 2 story home with an attached 2 car garage as well as a separate 3rd car garage. Coverage with even the best routers has been a challenge. Spotty coverage & inconsistent speed being the worst part of it. The Orbi straight out the box was a nice change. Not only in looks, but how easy it was to understand what was what. Being three separate units, I thought might be a challenge in how it will be setting it up, but overall it was much easier than I thought it would be. The instructions are very easy to understand and everything is labeled and easy to identify. The colored "Light Ring" is a nice touch! Knowing a connection is made by a simple glance at the top of the unit, makes it extremely easy to know if the satellites are connected and working. I placed the main router in the far west of the house in the downstairs office where the modem is located. Note, I have a Comcast modem/router combo but had the router (Wi-Fi) turned off so there would be no chance of interference that can affect the performance, or at least it can in other routers. Once I hooked up the router, I followed the guided setup on the Orbi app I downloaded onto my iPad (free on the app store) and it walked me through the rest of the setup. I put the first (of 2) satellites in the middle of the upstairs landing area. It was a perfect place due to being directly in the middle of the house and close to all the bedrooms, where coverage was an issue with the other routers. After plugging it in, I used the app to help me make sure it was connecting properly and after just about 30 seconds, I got the Blue light ring indicating a good connection was made. I also used the satellite to hook up my Arlo camera base, a AT&T Micro-cell and a desktop PC that Guest can use. (See picture) I then preceded to take the 2nd satellite and plugged in to the far east of the house in the downstairs family room. Doing this gave me a good "triangular" coverage pattern. Again, after just about 30 seconds, I got the blue light ring that indicated another good connection. It was literally that easy of a setup. Once everything was setup and good connections were made, I used the app to rename my network and change the password. (Hint) I used the same SSID and password as my previous router to make it easier to get all my connected devices working again quickly, instead of having to go to each one and connect them to the network like new devices. Super easy! Remember, after initial setup, no light is a good thing! Now for the true test...coverage and speed! With my previous router, my hardwired devices would get very good download speeds. I have business class broadband with approximately 200 mbps download. With hardwired devices, I would get well over 150 mbps, while my wireless devices were getting an average speed of around 30-50 mbps down and 11 mbps upload speeds. Those numbers would drop the further away I got from the router in the office. I have a 7 year old laptop that I use for a network drive with movies and music in a room just above the office that got around 20-30 mbps on the wireless, so it was very slow and if I wanted to stream anything from it to another device, it was a challenge. Music did OK, but video was lagging. With the new Orbi setup, things have improved tremendously! Speeds on average across the whole house is now well over 100 mbps on all devices. My iPad (Air 2) would get many times over 150 mbps download speeds and uploads close to 40 mbps, which is very good! The best part is, my 3rd car garage now gets Wi-Fi with very good coverage. My iPad get around 30-40 mpbs download speeds, which allows me to stream movies and music with no issues. Overall, this is a godsend! I love how easy this is and I have yet to have to "reset" my wireless to get it working again! The units look great and perform even better than I expected! I highly recommend this If you think about the cost having to buy 3 routers, this really isn't any more than that would be. Plus, you’re getting something that truly works and is worth every penny for the simple "hassle free" setup and for something that actually does what it says it will do! Highly recommend this to anyone that has coverage issues and wants something that's easy to set up and that works seamlessly across their home or business! (I received this item for free through the Netgear "Friends & Family" program. My review is 100% honest and has nothing to do with the program itself. I just agreed to give an honest review of this product)

I have been using the ORBI router with the base and two satellites for several weeks now. Setup was very easy, following Netgear's clear instructions. I had a number of very slow / no-signal areas with my previous router (current model, about a year old). After setting it up, all hard-wired devices (10 in my home network) saw the ethernet immediately. All portable devices had to be linked to the new network, even though I used the same network name and password. No problem, just took a bit of time to re-establish communication. Since then, all WiFi devices see it as one big, strong network. Security easy to configure -- user interface is a breeze to work with.

First off, I've setup a lot of networks over the years. I've done some Cisco development work and I've also setup multiple routers with DD-WRT, OpenWRT, and Tomato. I finally decided to go with a mesh network and after researching the various options I opted for the Orbi. I have been very happy with my decision. This network was really plug & play. I downloaded the app to my phone, turned on the devices and had it up and running in minutes. I've been able to stream 4k video to my TV while all 3 of my kids were in there room using the internet at the same time. No one had any buffering issues. All in all, very happy with this purchase.

I bought the Orbi to help with the dead zones in my home and I wasn't disappointed. I have a one story 3,200 square foot home that is awkwardly shaped. I used an Asus router which worked great on part of the house but had to use a Netgear WiFi extender and booster for the other part of the house. This was a nightmare trying trying to connect different Wi-Fi devices and networks. I had to reconnect to my Wi-Fi when I went from one side of the house to the other. Now that I have the Orbi I've had zero issues when going from one side of the house to the other and I only have one Wi-Fi network. Worth the money and you save the headaches.

So this review is being written a long long time after purchasing. I purchased these in March of 2018 and today is 11.29.2020 so more than 2 years after my purchase. These have been extremely reliable, very easy to set up with all devices. Our internet provider is Charter/Spectrum Cable and moves at 400 meg according to the possible peek performance. I am not sure what we are actually getting wired but I do know that there is very little loss as my WiFi speed tests are consistently upper 300’s. I have two teenagers myself and my wife who are always streaming and my son is steaming games on his computer. These things have been bullet proof they NEVER go down. Now that I say that I’m sure something will happen but we are almost three years into it and they are fantastic. We have two of them on the second floor of our 4,000 sq ft home and we get all the WiFi that we need even across the street, the back yard, every part of our property is covered. Out by the pool was a big deal for my daughter, really I can’t say enough good things about Orbi. Buy them!! The set up is very very simple. Hope this helps. Danny

We struggled finding a wireless router powerful enough to provide coverage for our 4500 sq.ft. home. This new Or I product solved all our existing issues and exceeded expectations. It allows you to monitor who and how long someone is utilizing your WiFi band and extends well into our front and back yard without decreasing WiFi strength. Excellent for people with large homes connecting multiple devices at once. We haven’t had a single issue and the app that’s available makes it the best wireless router available.

This product might seem expensive, but when kids, grand kids etc show up the WiFi speed is reduced and the young ones complain. This product is actually Bluetooth - the base stays where original router is and you can place the other 1 to 4 boosters around the house. The Echo Show my wife loves, but it eats up WiFi. This product is awesome because now she and all the ankle bitters can play all day and I don’t hear (1) One complain. How much is Sanity worth?
