Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System highly for its ease of use, extensive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, leading to consistently good performance and reliable WiFi. The setup process is also praised for its simplicity. However, a common concern is the relatively high price point.

Setting up was the easiest ever. The two satellites linked to the router without a problem and began to connect immediately. I have 8 smart plugs & switches which connected without a hiccup. Most importantly, the signal is more than adequate throughout the house and very strong in most areas and fast everywhere. As with any system, be sure to place each of the three units in optimum locations. Well worth the price.

My internet service is 100 mbps and I was previously using an Apple extreme base station. Regardless of speed app I used to test the speed, I rarely showed I was getting above 20 mbps on wireless. After numerous complaints from my daughter about slow connection while doing school work, I gave in and decided to try a mesh system after reading a lot of reviews. I was undecided between this one and another brand and the Specialist at Best Buy recommended this one and it has turned out to be spot on. Testing with various apps indicates that I am consistently getting over 100 mbps on the wireless and nobody is complaining anymore about connections. There is usually around 15 or more devices tapping into the network at any given time and none are having any issues. So while this is pricey, I consider it to be a very good upgrade if you are still on an older system. Install was straightforward and simple using the app on the my phone. It did take me a couple of tries though with some unplugging and rebooting to get the app sync up. Overall time getting set-up and running, maybe 45 minutes and no issues since. The hardest part was going around resigning everything back in.

This system makes it so that I have consistent signal all throughout my house. The fact that it is a mesh system makes it so I don't have to fiddle with channels and such to make it work with all the interference from my many neighbor's systems. This has taken the frustration out of my conversations with my wife about not being able to use the Wi-Fi because it doesn't work, It works beautifully now.

The purchase of this mesh system is a total upgrade over my previous Wifi router. This helped to expand internet coverage throughout our entire house.
The system was easy to set up and was relatively fast. I think the part that took the longest was the firmware update.
The other feature that I like about this system was that the satellites all had ethernet ports on them. Big plus.

The orbi has been nothing short of incredible. Not only does it look good but it works even better. I no longer have dead spots in my house for WiFi and even can stream music or videos in my backyard. Before I would be getting ~6-10mbps on the edge of my acre property and now I’m up around 60-100 (400-480 in the house). It’s not super expensive and it’s worth every penny!

I bought this for two reasons, one my IPad didn't get wifi while on the can, it on the other end of the house from the router, and my wifi signal space is flooded with my neighbors signals. My hope was internet in my whole house, my wish was both internet in my whole house, and overpowering some of these weaker signals. Good news I can now read the morning news in the can, also I've had no dropped connection issues as the signal is strong throughout the whole house. Set up was easy, I have a ton of smart devices they all connected no issue, even my sometimes in and out Alro camera now has a full signal at all times. So far so good. My son who hides on the opposite side of the house has mentioned that his gaming has been much better lately, and I cut the cord a while back and have no issues streaming 4k. If you have a large home, or one with multiple floors, this is the way to go.

Prior to buying this I had a Netgear AC1900 and before that I had a Linksys AC2150 tri band. Both of those units I used and returned do to poor signal. This Orbi system is amazing great signal throughout the house and yard. Also really like that you can connect device to the satellites via ethernet cable which does help increase your speeds to the wired device. Would highly recommend.

I recently acquired AT&T Fiber network. For two months I would have high speed internet that would drop out without warning. Dropping meetings, and making me regret I got AT&T Fiber. I looked into issues that could be happening and determined that the AT&T router could be the issue (processor and memory). I bought this Netgear system a month ago and added a Satellite Orbi to my yard. The results were spectacular. I put the AT&T router in passthrough mode to let Netgear handle the traffic and I have high speed internet everywhere on my property with no dropped connections. My speeds are 800Mbps download and 835.43 upload (I know, I should have a full gig from AT&T, I am paying for it). Plus more items jump on the 5G making things way faster. I have recommended this product to others that are having issues at home with dropped meetings, poor internet connections. It may not be your internet, it could be your providers router. This product has taken away internet anxiety from working from home.

Don't listen to the negative reviews or the 1 stars! I was skeptic when I first bought it because I had seen a few bad reviews, however, the moment I finally completed setting up the Mesh WiFi- system, I was amazed and shocked at how much my WiFi actually improved. Previously, I would be getting around 20 Mbps in my room, which basically across the whole house away from my router. After setup, I was getting around 100 Mbps with about 20-25 Mbps standard deviation (In my room, probably ~50 feet away from the actual router). Keep in mind that I was testing my internet connection with 5 other devices on it (I have a big family of 5). The Ping on the tests were great, it was always somewhere between 16 and ~20. Again, my WiFi improved drastically and I did not expect it to improve this much. This product was a very good buy.

We have had router troubles sense we started using WiFi enabled devices and in an older home it was hard to get a signal throughout the house. This router fixed that, we have had no dead spots and are getting the full speed of the internet for every device. The hubs are also great getting Ethernet connected computers wired in at a house with no wired in the house.

I have been using a different, dual band, WiFi Mesh system that struggled with working from home and having a house full of people the whole day. My old system would top out at around 180 Mbps even right next to the main router.
What a difference this system makes. On my cellphone I am now seeing 500Mbps plus over WiFi by the Router and will often get 350Mbps plus from either of the Satellites.
Administration is a little "interesting" as the App is VERY basic. Any kind of advanced administration must be done in a browser directly to the master router IP Address. Once logged in the Admin options are pretty extensive allowing for Port Forwarding, IP Address space allocation and all the usual well-rounded NetGear options. Anyone purchasing this system should immediately update the Firmware and then turn on Beamforming, MU-MIMO, and IPv6.
Satellite placement is critical to ensuring the best connection throughput and this is particularly the case for the Satellites. Being a Tri-Band system, the Satellite runs through a dedicated 866Mbps link to channel the signal back to the Router and as this is a 5Ghz band the signal can be disrupted by building materials, Fridges and TVs etc. Handy tip: don't put a Satellite behind a TV or fishtank.
All in all, this system performs very well and is a good price for the performance.

This package resolved my Wi-Fi issues. I now have 100% coverage throughout my home.
It was very easy to set up right out of the box. Awesome features include both short and long range bands, and even reaches my detached garage. The app gives you lots of tools to help with set-up, and is very functional, including security and signal strength tools.

This router was a breeze to set up, and provides whole house coverage. Very durable. Provides great speed over wifi as well as hard wired. Also offers (3) lan ports on the main and (2) each on each satellite. I was able to add my (2) hard wired switches with no problem. I told my brother in law about them and he bought it also!

I purchased this to extend the WiFi network signal in my split level home as the options offered by my internet provider were not giving enough tenge. The Orbi has extended my WiFi to all areas of my home and outside enough that I can work on my laptop if I desire. Very easy interface to use and set up also.

Signal is strong, connection fast, everywhere in my three story home. 5 stars for this
For many users this would be all is needed, but I expect a minimum of user control. 1 star for this.
I'm used to asus' fully featured UI where you, for example, can set time windows for each device and many other detailed controls, like what gets 2.4 ghz and what 5ghz. None of that here.
The only way to set time limits is to use the most awful app in the play store: Circle. Stay away! Not only it costs money via subscription, but it is so flawed that I don't even know where to start. I don't know how on Earth Netgear partnered with Circle, because the people working at Circle are clearly in over their heads, to put it nicely. There are hundreds of one star reviews, most of them not from kids. I wish I could return router, but bestbuy has a very short return window and I missed it.

Actually surprised how reliable this has been. First mesh WiFi and it’s been rock solid. Bit of a pain running around the house when resetting the satellites but it’s a trivial inconvenience. Fast and stable. Very good app gives you a decent amount of information, easy to use interface.

A few years ago I spent $2500 on a Whole house internet WAP system. When the two WAPs starting glitching I went into Best Buy to buy new WAPs. I found out that Best Buy does not sell them anymore in the store but instead is selling products like the Orbi. So, for $350, I was able to purchase a system that does the same thing that my wired system with WAP’s did for $2500. We have a house that is pretty large (4500 ft.²) and the system has by and large been working very well. I’ve had two issues with it: first, it took a lot of effort for me to get Sonos reconnected on it. Eventually, Sonos caught up to it, but I had to reconnect the speakers several times. Second, there are only two satellites and I could use a third. But for some reason Orbi doesn’t make it easy to purchase single satellites. I don’t know why that is.

I replaced two networks in my home.
It was super easy to setup with my existing devices with the app.
Speeds are super good.
On setup did have to have the satellites about 12 feet to sync, but no problem to move them upstairs and 45" away with 3 interior walls between the base and satellite.

I bought this Orbi system based on the recommendation of the sales associate after visiting the store to purchase an additional wifi extender. This Orbi was easy to set up and we now have consistently strong wifi signal throughout the house. Upload and download speeds are in the high 300Mbps.
