Customers are saying

Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System highly for its ease of use, extensive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, leading to consistently good performance and reliable WiFi. The setup process is also praised for its simplicity. However, a common concern is the relatively high price point.

We have Comcast/Xfinity and upgraded from their up to 300 mbps limited data package to their up to 1000 mbps unlimited data package. Our old modem and router could not support the faster speeds and I didn’t want to bother with researching new modems/routers, so we went with their all-in-one Gateway device (rented). We had issues from day one with the internet going out multiple times per week, sometimes for just a few minutes, sometimes longer. We also could no longer get a good signal in our basement or in one area on the top floor. We had never had this issue with our old Netgear modem & router. Comcast was never able to fix it and even told us nothing was wrong. I finally had enough and bought a Netgear modem - NETGEAR - Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem - Black along with this NETGEAR - Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System. Success!! No issues with the internet going out and we have great signal strength in every area of our house!

Solid upgrade from wireless extension system

Almost doubled the internet speed from a system using an AC1900 wireless router and an extension. Also enabled a relatively strong signal in a basement that had almost no signal using an extension. From my understanding, wireless extenders work AND slow down the signal.

Really awesome WiFi system. Great signal throughout my house. My house isn’t huge. But my one router wasn’t cutting it. Got this system and it spread the signal out to every corner of my house, even outside. Easy setup. Great software/app. Lots of features and capability.

I originally had one wifi unit in the middle of the house. While it would work on devices downstairs, it wasn't the best. I decided to get this mesh network setup, and it works great. I did run into an issue where devices were connecting to the 2.4 GHz band because it was a strong signal than the 5 GHz band, but that was easy to solve by turning off the SSID broadcast for 2.4 GHz and setting the power level to 25% on the 2.4 GHz band. Now everything connects to 5 GHz and runs smooth. The best part about this mesh setup is you can do an ethernet backhaul. So if you currently have cat 5e/6 wired in your house, you can wire the sats and provide full speed all over your home using the same wifi name. If not, the wireless backhaul works excellent. I have gigabit service, and without the wired backhaul, I can get about 400-500 down on devices plugged into the sats and 200-300 on devices that are strictly wifi.

I needed to extend the Wifi signal throughout our house. This did the trick. I now get a good signal on the second floor and in the back yard. It was super easy to set up.

I decided to buy this product to help me improve our signal in the attic as well as outdoors in our pool. It worked very well. Easy to set up. It helps to block prevent fraud and manage device connections as well. I am very happy with this product.

Struggled with getting a decent Wi-Fi signal to the office. Since switching to the Orbi I’ve had a significant improvement in overall coverage to the office, evening reaching out to the yard. System is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it in the end.

I purchased these when my range extender failed. Though expensive this system was a good choice. You have to use a smart phone to set them up. Just follow the instructions. Now I have excellent coverage in all but one section of my house.

    Latency Issues Solved!!!

We have Frontier FIOS 100/100 Internet and was renting their standard Arris NVG WIFI router for $10/month. We also had several NETGEAR WNT plug in WIFI extenders but we still had latency issues and dropped video calls and slow internet on a daily basis. We could rarely get 55/55 MB up/down load speeds and thats on the 100/100 MBs plan. We read good things about the NETGEAR ORBI MESH system and decided to take the plunge. Due to quarantine my Wife and I both work from home and our kids have online school, so solid WIFI is a must. Installation was easy and now we routinely get 75/75 MBs speeds or higher. More importantly the Latency or lag is gone. We haven't had dropped WIFI or Video calls drop the last few weeks with the new router. Do yourself a favor and ditch the ISP router and upgrade to the ORBI Mesh system. Its night and day how good it is.

WiFi in my house was pretty spotty and even the upgraded router and range extender I had installed a few months before only marginally helped. Due to recent events knew that I’d need much better coverage and performance to support the 4 additional people back at home taking classes and surfing. After some research settled on this product. Wow! Took the wireless network performance to a whole new level. Went with the 3 pack since the internet router is in the far corner of the basement and needed to cover 3 floors and about 2500 sq ft. Now have solid coverage on all floors, can do video conferencing on the deck (satellite in the kitchen) and even have solid enough performance to stream video in the garage. Have well over 20 devices connected to the system and performance is still great. While the price seems a little high it’s well worth it.

This router is awesome. I spent months going back-and-forth with my internet provider. I was paying for 1 GB of speed and averaging about 80 mbps on a good day. I hate service come out and look at everything multiple times until a contractor finally said I needed to use my own equipment. I had a router and modem that he was able to set up, and they were a little bit better but not great, so I researched and found this system. There isn't an inch of my house that doesn't have strong wifi. I have four xbox systems, four smart tvs, three laptops, tablets, smartphones regularly connected, streaming, gaming in my house on a regular basis. It is very rare that I run into any lag on this network. Truly a fantastic product and well worth the money.

After much research I found the Orbi Mesh WiFi system was the best in the price range I was looking at. Boy is that true! With the equipment the cable company gave me I was only getting 79 mbps while paying for 200 mpbs service. I bought a netgear cable modem and paired it with the Orbi Mesh system. I am consistently getting speeds averaging 266 mpbs! The slowest I have seen is 248 when my wife was streaming a movie, working on her laptop, I was playing online on my PS4 and streaming a podcast. Well worth the money you won’t be disappointed!

I recently purchased the NetGear Orbi RBR40 to improve the Internet speed in my house. I have a 100mbps connection but was only getting 10mbps on most my wireless devices because my Internet connection is at the far side of my house. I installed the product per the instructions and renamed the SSID and WPA2 password to match my existing network settings so I didn't have to re-configure any existing devices. I did have to re-configure my current 5GHz devices since Orbi uses a combined SSID and manages the connections to 2.4GHz and 5GHz for you. This may be a problem for some but worked great for me and connected my MagicJack phone, Echo devices, Hue lights, and Ring devices with no hassles at all. I now get from 60mbps to 100mbps throughout my house and so far haven't had any outages or deadzones.

Easy installation (for a non techie) with two satellites resolved long standing issues with signal strength and speed due to requiring router signal to penetrate what once was an exterior wall and then be viable in three stories once there.
