Customers are saying

Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System highly for its ease of use, extensive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, leading to consistently good performance and reliable WiFi. The setup process is also praised for its simplicity. However, a common concern is the relatively high price point.

I use this package along with another single satellite to cover my home. I find it useful to connect devices like my camera system and my printers directly to a Satellite using a Cat-5 cable to give these devices a dedicated signal. The AP is great and gives you a visual on which devices are connected throughout the house. Also, if you have kids you can shutoff individual devices as you see fit. Lots of Wi-fi power and good coverage by placing the devices in different places within the house. Much better than older extended based technology. Great for streaming in different rooms. I have 32 devices connected at one time.

The ORBI quickly fit into our home wifi plan and is easy to install and use. Coverage is good, and the ability to place the satellite range extenders is very useful.

I have always used Netgear for my routers and had a Netgear router that was working fine before I bought the Orbi but when I switched from Cable to Fiber I thought I should give my internet service the best gear possible and this was a great investment. With my old Netgear router and extender I got passable connections but lost some speed but with the Orbi no matter where I am in the house I get the same speed. I would recommend an Orbi and I rarely do reviews but in this case I am very happy with the purchase.

A good wi-fi router for a larger house

We upgraded our 8-year old Net Gear wi-fi router to this Net Gear Orbi system in the hopes of giving us stronger and more reliable wi-fi internet in our 2-story, 3,000 sq. ft. room. We did a lot of trial and error in where to place the units. We also did a lot of trial and error in learning what the different colors meant when the internet signal was lost. After a few weeks of frustrating trial and error placements, we think we finally have our units placed in our house to optimize the reliability and strength of our wi-fi signal for house-wide internet use. This is better than our 8-year old wi-fi unit that we replaced. So far, so good.

I bought this router system because at the back of my apartment was like a dead zone. With this system I get strong signals all over my apartment. It's an easy set up also.

Used in a Montana log cabin that had terrible wi-fi. Now with the back channel link there is coverage over the entire house. Couldn't live without this. Easy to set up!

Since installing, I have not had problems with dropped or weak signal. Install was not difficult using PPPoE. Overall, a good product with reasonable features. The app is easy to use and intuitive. The router comes with access to Circle, a product I was anxious to try. I have not upgraded to the paid Circle yet. I find it annoying to have to figure out which device is which on the Circle app when it does not give you much description. You would be best to turn off each device and connect them one at a time so you can rename them. Other than that peripheral issue, I am satisfied.

Bought this after moving where our previous mesh system was not able to handle the concrete walls and increased sq ft. Was debating between this and setting up a larger more enterprise network set up, but opted for the simplicity of a mesh network. I was worried about a drop in speed as our new house has gigabit fiber, but to my surprise, I was getting around 700-710 mbps off of the satellites! I couldnt believe this! Was thinking I was going to have to go with Wifi 6 in order to achieve the speeds I was getting. Completely happy with the purchase, and have told many a friend about this.

Amazing coverage and completely changed my home to ZERO dead spots. The only thing is sometimes devices connect to one of the three points that is actually the farthest away and has less bandwidth for this. If the devices would connect to the strongest signal automatically would be best. Not sure if this is to place blame on the Orbi router/satellites or the device’s themselves. The two different ghz does make a difference as well. I highly recommend it.

4 story house so it was so important to have a system that would be able to extend wifi reach without a hiccup. Never an issue, no black outs or outages unless the primary wifi goes down as a result if an outage or a needed reset. The signal remains strong. I work remote from home at times so a consistently strong signal is important. Even with the TV's, 4 cellphones, 4 computers, 3 tablets and 2 gaming systems linked to the devices it does not slow down or atleast it hasn't slowed down the network at all. Love it and would recommend it.

The Orbi router and satellite system is exactly what I needed for our home. This allows coverage in areas where we couldn’t get WIFI previously. We have a 2-story house, with a big metal return air plenum in the middle of the house spanning both floors. This meant that no matter where we placed a conventional router (this replaced our Nighthawk AC3200), one or more of the rooms were dead. Problem solved. The controls are awesome with access control by device, child lockouts, website blocking, timed access, Isolated guest wifi account, and auto speed select by device.
