Great product. I'm a web dev and I need good internet access to get my job done. Unfortunately, my router is as far away from my office as possible, and the connection was very spotty. This product boosted my connection and I now have great internet speed in my office.

Originally I has some issues with these upon first setup. Now that I have "messed around" with them I think I have the hang. The do work, even on a power strip (at least mine does) and they do carry the signal with not too much drag. Good, solid product by Netgear.

Do you need a hard wired internet connection but your device is on the other side of the house? Then this is exactly what you need! These plug into a power outlet next to your router then where ever you need in another part of the house. I get a rock solid wired connection for my Xbox even though it's on another floor!

I live in a house with a lot of walls, a couple dead zones and not a lot of options on places to put my router. At least, not without adding more cable outlets. This took all of 5 minutes to setup. Literally plug and play at its finest.

Allowed me to place router in optimum location

I initially both these because I thought they were going to allow me to improve signal to 2 different computers that were furthest from my router. When they arrived and I saw that you had to connect the modem directly to one and plug it into an outlet to send the signal through your home’s wiring to the other unit I was going to return them to get a wireless booster. But after I watched the product video on the Best Buy website I realized I could improve signal strength throughout the house by using these to move my router into the middle of our home, which doesn’t have a cable inlet so I never considered it before because I can’t place the modem there. Instead of the router being in one corner of the house with weak signal in the upstairs bedrooms on the other side of the house where my kids were trying to connect for school meetings, with the router now in the center of the house the signal is strong everywhere.

These are a little finnicky as to where you put them. Different outlets provide different levels of service even though they are equidistant from the Router. Where I have it located is offers excellent signal most of the time, moderate signal occasionally and fair signal once in a while. It's only about 7' from the router. The 2nd unit is maybe 50' away through 4 sheetrock walls. It seems to do the job but I'm considering running a hardwire through the attic all the way to the router. I might recommend depending on the application. Not good for mission critical signal.

I've heard great things about products like this. Unfortunately, the wiring in my house is archaic. I was getting a really poor signal. Wifi was better. Again, this is due to my wiring, not the product.

This thing worked like a dream. I just moved and the router is too far away from my room where I am working from. Just try it out in different outlets for subtle variances in speed, that has very little to do with the router but more with power where you live.

Does not work all that well for me. It works better in some rooms than others. Unfortunately, the upstairs room where I need it is one where it does not work well. Ideally, you want the connection led to stay solid green. Mine flickers green, yellow and red. Red is not good. Checking speeds, downstairs I get like 360Mbps and on the upstairs wifi running through the Powerline, I am lucky to get 30 Mbps. I think how well it will works for you is very dependent upon the wiring in your house.

This is a lightning fast solution for a home wifi problem. Our cable modem is downstairs and this lets us send the internet upstairs through the wall and out an access point upstairs. Handles TWC Roadrunner with 0% signal loss. We get better wifi upstairs than my brother does down stairs in the room next door to the router.

We have a 108 year old house and the Wi-Fi signal frequently has trouble going even relatively short distrance when it has to go through walls. Our Roku unit would often have trouble keeping up when we were running it wirelessly. This unit was easy to install (like, plug it it easy!) and fixed the problem

Quick and easy to setup, plug one in near your router and another anywhere in the house and you've immediately got a working ethernet connection. My older house's wiring doesn't provide full ethernet speeds but the speeds are definitely better than the wifi.

If you want a wired Internet connection and you don't want to run wires through the walls then this is the product you want to buy. Easy to set up and use. Run it from your router to a wall outlet and plug it in.
