Customers are pleased with the Powerline 1000 Network Extender's ease of use, performance, and ability to extend the range of their Wi-Fi connection. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and the option to connect devices via Ethernet. However, some customers experienced issues with signal strength and found the price to be a concern. I was skeptical when the Best Buy associate recommended this. How can you get internet access via an electrical outlet. Simply put, it works. Great way to get internet to a TV/Blu-ray player, that is not near an outside wall.

I purchased this to be able to have internet available in my barn and because the lights and outlets are fed directly from the house, I get the same speed all the way in the barn as I do in the house. 100mbps and I couldn't be happier!!

I love this thing! I use it to hook up computers that I am working on / experimenting with (particularly, those that only accept an ethernet connection), and I don't have to end up stretching a long ethernet cable across my house.
I figure that this isn't the way the manufacturer envisioned this product being used, but it works great for my use case.

Works like a charm. Easy to set up. Not quite as good as a solid ethernet cable but still better than wireless.

I work remotely from home and was having WiFi connectivity issues. I’m just seconds with this device, I was connected to the internet with no issues and could work from anywhere there was an electrical outlet!

This is an excellent network extender for my router. I installed it on my garage and upsatirs bedroom and I am getting a 1GB connection. Just make sure not to plug it in on a surge protected outlet because it will degrade the speed.

We use powerline adapters in our house. We love them. However, we did not need this one so we returned it. If I need another one, I will definitely get this one again.

I've installed many Netgear Powerline Extenders over the years. I've always gotten good results; the transmittal speeds are great. One great feature is the encryption feature where you can secure the connection between powerline adapters with the push of a button. It's inevitable that from time to time you'll have to unplug it from the wall to reconnect adapters, but it only happens once in a blue moon.

These work but come with a few down falls.
If you absolutely need good internet for gaming or steaming in another room I DONT recommend them at all. If it's basic internet browsing then they will Suffice.
My biggest issue was the noise interference on my pc speakers that were plugged in to the same out let, a constant buzzing sound, the same with the opposite end where my tv was plugged it it is quite annoying.
Second they couldn't pull more than 25-30 Mbps download (unstable at that) when they say they are 100mbps rated and I have business class 300mbps internet
Over all if you need basic internet in a room that you can't run a cable these will work, but that's all I would recommend them for.

Was easy to install, but the on/off switch does not work every time.
Not sure why, unless the electric prongs do not connect every time.

This put a jack in a location that would have broken the bank to have installed. Great solution...look for newer speed levels if you are using some of the newer technology. It works and it is a sound solution.

Connected my Security Camera DVR to my modem so that I didn't have to run a homerun cable from the basement to the second floor. Worked great.
