This product is not only easy to install, but works as advertised. I was using WiFi for the X BOX and BluRay entertainment system but it took forever to download new games or update new games plus movies occasionally buffered when streaming. This product fixed it and now my download speed almost matches what I am paying for that enter my house. Definitely works and much cheaper and easier than buying Ethernet cable and direct wiring from the base router.

Bought this to move the wireless access points from Dish hopper to another room. Really simple to set up and now have great connection to all tvs in the house due to this allowing me to relocate the Access points without running an ethernet cable to another room.

Easy to detup & provides a wired connection. Don't expect your speed to be as fast as what you pay for with your ISP though. Since this used the wiring in the home, it is known to be a slower connection, but that's not necessarily a fault of the product

This Product Keeps Devices Online Better than WiFi

If you are having difficulty connecting a device to the internet by Wifi, then this product is for you! It's easy to setup! One Device connects to the router via ethernet cable and the other device with it's ethernet cable connects to your computer, Xbox, Television, etc. Any device that uses an ethernet port. For instance, the router is in the basement and XBOX is on the 3rd floor-Instant connectivity without using the Wi-Fi! Or the Television with Streaming Movie just buffers. This device uses the power in the house to connect those devices together.

Great to use for 2.4 GHZ items in a mesh network

I have a number of Yamaha receivers that only work on 2.4 GHZ WiFi. Instead of replacing expensive equipment I bought these so I could have a wired connection. Allows my iPhone to hop between WiFi and still work MusicCast network feature. Newer Yamaha MusicCast devices can network hop. The Yamaha receivers allow me to use my own much nicer sounding speakers. These work great and we’re easy to set up. It also extended my range for a really out of the way location.

Super easy to setup. It really is just a matter of connecting this to the router and hitting two buttons. The speeds are good, just like a normal ethernet connection. Springing for this model and getting access to the extra outlet through the device is so worth the extra money.

The photos desperately want you to believe that these fit into a regular outlet with room for another plug. This is definitely not the case. While I was able to smash one on top of this it was not a comfortable fit. Additionally, I didn’t get the speeds I expected. I have gigabit fiber but am only receiving about 120 to 140 Mbps. That said, it solved the problem I was trying to solve.

Works great, used to hook upy living room TV and switch to my router in the office. No isses thus far. Eàsy setup. Only complaint I have is it covers the second plug in a dual plug setup just enough to where you can not plug in another ground device. Could be just a tad smaller.

NETGEAR Powerline 2000 works exactly as advertised

NETGEAR Powerline 2000 allows you to use your home electrical system as internet network. I used it to connect a WiFi transmitter to the modem which is on the other end of our house and on a different floor. I plugged one into the outlet near the modem and the other in an outlet above our second store playroom (above the garage), about 65 ft away. It works just like it was connected with ethernet cable 3 feet away. The WiFi transmitter runs a 65in UHD smart TV, a Wii system, and two computers in adjacent rooms. At under $100, it sure beats wiring an ethernet cable.

We have loved this powerline adapter to be able to hardwire a speedy internet connection from downstairs to upstairs on same circuit. We would like to see this product have a smaller top to help allow an additional item to be plugged in with ground fault when plugged into bottom of wall socket that has 2 outlets. However, you can plug in something above, that does not have a ground plug. Overall we have enjoyed this product.

Needed a Internet extender and two port router. The Powerline 2000 covered both needs in one unit. Previously I was using a second WiFi modem/router connected exclusively on 5 GHz to my primary router as an extender to connect my NAS and desktop computer to my home WiFi and the Internet and had occasional problems with the second router. The Netgear Powerline 2000 provides a faster link and so far (6 weeks) has worked flawlessly.

    Best solution so far...

I’ve tried many options to improve my internet speed in the basement because that’s where my home office is. More recently I even tried the Xfinity Pods to supplement their system; but seeing limited (if any) consistent improvement I returned them as it wasn’t worth the $200 purchase fee for them. I’ve always been skeptical of the power line option because the original home owner finished the basement themselves and I’ve had enough other issues with their own work that they completed I was just skeptical there wouldn’t be some issue with the wiring they did that kept it from working. To my surprise and joy it seems to be working very well. I’ve been having great consistent connections to my work and it’s so easy to set up that when I’m not working I unplug it and take it over near the outlet to my 4K TV downstairs so I can plug it straight into an Ethernet line which is way more consistent for streaming 4K sources than using Wi-Fi (especially in my basement). I might have given it 5 stars but I wish they had an option to buy a single unit. You can use up to 16 but all I really want now is a third one to keep the tv connected without having to move it every time ... yet only sold in pairs so for now I refuse to pay for one I don’t need.

It was very easy to use and was basically plug and play. It was also great that it has an outlet on the front. But depending on your living situation, you might be better off with a fast mesh wi-fi setup than using something like this. I found that it connecting to this via ethernet pretty regularly got slower speeds than the wifi 6 point I was near. So it really is best if its not going very far through your house, if you don't need the maximum speed you get from your ISP's modem, or if you have something that can only be connected via ethernet. I generally get 700mbps down from my ISP, and with these on separate floors, I was getting around 200 through the powerline. That is still fast, but the Wifi 6 mesh routers got a lot closer to the speeds I was paying for.

So, I have a mesh system on Gigabit Internet. I really wanted 1GB/s on my Apple TV without running a long cable. Well this didn’t work, from the same Room, I was getting 100MB/s on my apple tv, with the mesh, I got 500MB/s. I was about to return it but my girlfriend wanted to set up her work from home station in the extra Bedroom. Well I had a mesh Point in there but all she could get was 30MB/s. No matter what I didn’t or where I placed the mesh, it just wouldn’t work. I decided to give this a try and was able to get 400MB/s. Connecting this to the mesh, also gave me the same wifi speeds. I couldn’t be happier. I might buy another pair to see experiment with the placement. So far it’s hit or miss but I am trying to get a hit every time.
