It's a cool concept and looks cool, it's way faster than WiFi but not nearly as fast as ethernet, I would recomend this if u have a weak signal and u want fast internet, if u want Internet in an area of the house were u have almost no signal, itll give u Internet no matter what, I've recomended this to 2 people and they love it also

I bought this product because my wireless modem didn't provide a strong signal to my gaming consoles. Works great!

My wireless connection from the modem to my Desktop which is in a different room of my house was very inconsistent. I was told about this type of set up which uses your current wiring in your house as a signal conductor. A cat 5 or 6 cable from the modem to the adapter which is plugged in to a electrical outlet and the same set up in another room with a cable from the outlet adapter to your computer. It has worked great for me and was easy to install.

If you are looking to bring a wired conection to an area of your house or building this workes perfect. It was a quick solution to a problem I had at work and it has been working with out any problems so far.Just plug and play no setup is ready to go. The only thing I have not tried is to plug it on a different outlet that is not on the same breaker and that's something that I will try in the future. Really happy I recommend this product.

Overall... The product works as advertised. Plug in module 1, connect to your router/switch. Plug in module 2 somewhere else in the house. Wait for a bit, then when the LEDs show a connection has been made connect your computer to module 2 and start surfing the internet. Highly recommend following the instructions to turn on the secure connection rather than leave it open.

This seems to work just fine, but for some reason my Magic Jack phone couldn't connect to the network. I have a feeling this is more the fault of the Magic Jack than it is of this product. I'd recommend this Powerline Adapter to anyone that doesn't want to pull wire to get Ethernet connectivity. Just didn't work in my case.

The Powerline 500 was the answer to my two-year dilemma on how to economically bridge the gap to my surround sound system. I was leaning toward installing a portal but was reluctant to purchase hardware for just one connection, a mere 15 feet away from my router. With hardwood floors, 20 foot ceilings and a high volume hallway.....the Powerline 500 was the answer.

My computer can only connect wirelessly since I can't connect a modem in my office, and the Wi Fi signal was horrible. I was paying for download speed of 75 mbps, but was only getting 12-15. After installing the Netgear Powerline 500 my download speed is 85-90--even more than I'm paying for!

It worked well in most rooms in my house, but not in the room I needed it for. The previous owner had done some rewiring; I think this was the cause of my problems. Rather than mess with that, I returned this product and purchased an extender instead. Good product, I would highly recommend it.

Adapters work as advertised. Simple plug and play operation. Just plug in one end to your internet router and electrical outlet and the second adapter to equipment needing Internet access and your online. Just know to connect the powerline adapters directly to the electrical outlets and not to power surge protectors for them to work properly.

My son built his own gaming computer, but we were having issues with it sucking up all of our wifi in the house...we went to Best Buy and a sales associate told us about this product. Now he is hardwired through our electric outlet in the house. Problem solved

This is a simple easy And plug application. It is a great product if u don't have the the ability to get a wireless single. U can also link multiple units. I found the application great for hooking up my Apple TV and a having a secondary one allowed me to hook up my blu ray.

I needed to replace Internet connectivity for a desktop located 2 floors above the router as economically and as painlessly as possible. I thought I would have to run ethernet cable, but per BestBuy geek squad recommendation I installed the Netgear adapter kit quickly and it continues to perform better than any previous setups.

So I live in a two story house and had my router in the upper floor. anything down stairs had terrible connections, so I bought these to fix my connections down stairs. Was easy to set up. It however does not boost the network but essentially run a pseudo ethernet cable through the house powersystem. However once I plugged it to my Xbox One, it was the only thing that can connect to the network and all of my other devices has less than 1Mbs connection. So It did not solve my problem but if you have a desktop or another device that needs high bandwidth this may be the solution for you.

Purchased this to alleviate a dead zone where my wife's office is. After setting it up she has had no problems with connecting to our wi-fi and she's seeing speeds as good as anywhere else in the house.

Simply awesome. Was able to move my Wifi router closer to the family room without running a bunch of unsightly cat 5 and channels. Now I can get on the web at full speed from the comfort of my easy chair AND my office across the house!
