Works okay, but inconsistent performance

I purchased this product to be able to get a stronger WiFi connection upstairs on my iPad. It works great for checking email, but is inconsistent in it's performance when watching video. Sometimes while watching video it works great and other times the video frequently freezes up due to buffering.
The setup was quite easy, although the directions (or I should say the lack of directions) that came with mine made it more of a challenge than it should have been. I called Netgear customer service and although both representitives I talked to were very courteous they were very lacking in the knowledge of their product. The first representative gave me incorrect instructions. I ended up figuring things out on my own after about 20 minutes of being on the phone with the 2nd representative attempting to help me. It made me chuckle when he then went on to ask me if I wanted to purchase extended customer support from them.

With me now having to work from home my company required me to utilize their computer system. The problem is that it required an ethernet cable. The cable would have been extremely long from where my modem was to where the computer needed to be setup along with some unnecessary modifications to my wall. This adapter was so much better and works as well as having an ethernet cable plugged directly into the modem. I highly recommend it.

Great way to extend Wifi network

I was using a Wifi extender to enable my Wifi network to reach a far part of house, but it was slow and required periodic rebooting. Plus, the extender creates another Wifi signal that you have to log in and log out of when moving around the house.
The Powerline Wifi adapter solved all these problems: it is fast (as fast as my main router), stable, and extends my existing 2.4 and 5G signals (it doesn't create an additional Wifi signal). Highly recommended for extending your Wifi network into areas that your main router can't reach.

I had heard about using your electrical wiring for networking but never gave it much credence. The Best Buy geek who helped me said he had sold several to people who had installed it in their pole barns. I installed it in my pool about 200 feet from my house. It works great and now we have wi-fi by our pool. We stream movies to our laptop and projector for movie nights by the pool and use Spotify to stream music. This Winter I plan on plugging it in upstairs to improve coverage up there.

Works flawlessly in my detached garage. I had been considering running a cable all the way from the router in my house, but this is a lot easier and I didn't have to dig a ditch.

Wasn’t sure how well this would work being my newly built house is wired for Ethernet into other rooms but not out to detached shop so i needed an option to get service out there.
Also there is another electrical service panel on house than garage but they are linked. I heard you need to be on same side of AC service leg for these to work. Any way I plugged into router in house and extension plugged into outlet nearby for quick setup then took extension out to shop which is 150 feet away. Was working within a minute. WiFi as strong in shop as next to router in the house. Absolutely happy with this device.

We were having difficulty getting a signal in the upstairs of our home.the lathe in the plaster walls interfered with the transmission of the wireless signal . With this unit the signal is transmitted thru the electrical wires so the problem is solved .Would definitely recommend this if you live in an older home with plaster walls

Purchase this because I had poor wifi signal in my bedroom for my streaming that I wanted to do. Could never have consistent connection for my Amazon tv. I didn't want have to run a Ethernet cable in the attic and down the wall, so I gave this a try. What a difference, no streaming problems and didn't have to get in the hot attic in Vegas during the summer. Bought another extender unit so I didn't have to do more wiring to my switch hub in my office too. Works perfect! Worth the money you pay for it.

Took a while to pair with base, required multiple resets and testing on a few different outlets. However, once paired the wireless was strong and realiable. Works much better than previous powerline (different brand) devices that have purchased. Would purchase this product again!

like many around the would, I have be relocated to the home to fulfill my career responsibilities. Space is tight here so I was banished to my garage as the home office; the exact place where the WiFi can not penetrate. This little device boosted the signal better than any of the competitors with a bit rate that did not least me wanting.

I bought this since I now work from home and needed a 'wired' internet connection when my router is in a different room from my computer. You pretty much just 'plug and play' with these things. No real setup aside from figuring out what the wifi passwords are preset to. So far, everything works great and the additional 5g wifi access point is 3-5x faster than my existing 2.4 off the existing router.
