    Garage on separate meter

Works inside the house, got it for my garage which is on a separate meter and it did not work, I am assuming it is because it’s on a separate meter, but it removes the deadzones within the house.

    Works exactly as advertised.

Setup took 20-minutes... but in reality 10, because I ignored the "avoid power-bars ...or surge protectors". The first attempt took 10- minutes, went by the book, but resulted in VERY slow connection speeds (6-7Mb/s). After swapping out the outlet from a surge projected device to a standard outlet, magic! 60-65Mb/s. I had tried the same technology 8-years ago, and it was horrible. This works just like it should!

    Coolest Gizmo

I switched to the Cox Panorama wifi system. Not very user friendly to wifi extenders. Although Cox Cable claims Whole House coverage, it doesn't cover my garage remote controller for web hook-up. I hooked this up to the Cat5 plug off the Cox "magic box" and the other I plugged into an outlet in the garage . . . and Shazzam! No extra monthly fee for an extender from Cox Cable. Very Cool

    Good product

I received this product as part of Netgear's Friends and Family program. Setup was very easy. Connectivity worked as expected. Giving only 4 out of 5 because Internet speeds seemed a little bit slower compared to wireless connection. Still this product helps.

Works as advertised. I like the added option of the physical Ethernet ports. Not having to install any wiring makes this equipment a huge no brainer.

This is an amazing product - it actually does work and transmit wireless data through the power lines without the interference of brick, wood, and drywall. Has solved my WIFI cold spots in the house. Highly recommend this product. Very pleased.

    Internet speed cut in half!

Attempted to boost my internet from 40 mbps. My office is downstairs and in the corner of the house, away from the router. Online services and medical dictation is patchy at best at 40 mbps. At the bottom of my stairs I get 200-300 mbps. I was hoping this would boost my signal. After hooking it up and having all green lights (indicating it should be operating at above 80 mbps) it was even slower. multiple internet speed tests indicated no greater than 22 mbps. Rather than boosting my internet speed by even a little, it slowed it down by more than a half. I don't need to pay for slower internet. I might try a wifi signal booster and see if that works, this one surely did not!

Bought this to extend range for Nestcams too far away from access points and this did the trick. Works very well.

Thank you Best Buy for taking this piece of junk back. After 4 calls to Netgear Tech Support there was NEVER a call back after 2 days!! The units would not accept a password.

    Not for newer homes!

Would not recommend for houses with arc fault breakers (the ones with blue buttons on the breaker) installed this and tripped 4 different breakers in my house every 10 minutes for an hour. Even the ones not controlling the rooms it was plugged into. This is a hazzard.

    Typically Bad Netgear Product

Worked for a few weeks. Gives me a green signal and then turns off. Tried all outlets in my house with same result. Tellingly, it does not work when plugged into the same outlet with the base unit. So, it cannot receive signal when plugged together with base. Customer support worthless.
