Bulky but works as expected

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only downside of using this extender is that (1) it hogs up a lot of space on a standard electrical outlet, and (2) I end up with multiple SSIDs to connect to depending on where in the house I am (believe this pretty much is how all of them work). I ended up using it elsewhere to connect a detached garage to a distant cable modem/router, and it works like a champ.

great to get wifi signal where there nothing

I went from the orginal wifi signal dw: 8mpbs up:1.2mpbs to dw: 32mpbs up:4.2. which is much better and it allows my computer to load programs and access data faster than normal. Used the ethernet connection and it pulled dw:40mpbs not much of a difference, but already better. would def recommend.

Good on a budget.

Would only recommend as a lst resort as there are other, better options such as mesh networks like xfi pods from xfinity and the portal routers. This is good on a budget.

I finally had to call in my son who works with computers and it took him a half hour or so to get it up and running. But it works very well now.
