Works well, be careful of circuit breakers

Great combo

Do your research and understand how your speed on the other side might be affected by having the line run through a circuit breaker between the router and your next point. It's the easiest thing to do before doing minor construction trying to run Cat5 cable through your home!

So far it has worked well. I have yet to do a speed test but the computer works fine for all the tasks I need to do.

Using House Wiring

By using this 2 component Netgear device I was able to connect from the modem to the house wiring on one end (via ethernet cable) and to my non-wireless computer for my internet connection on the other end (via ethernet cable) using the house wiring. Both components need to be plugged into an outlet. Works great!

Know where you need it

Also the more junction boxes (fuse boxes) you go through the lower the signal will be. If you need to go short distances, across rooms or to the next floor you may be OK.

This works well and has pretty good range. My phone doesn't always switch quickly between the main signal and the extension. Not sure why but at least the whole house has signal now.
