This product will not work if you have the main router on a separate power breaker than the extender. Both must run on same line

I am very experienced with powerline networking. I have 2 Netgear 500AV adapters as well as 2 200Mbps Actiontec adapters. All 4 of the older adapters function far better than these newer ones. The 1st channel of the MIMO will always stay on the two neutral and line wires to stay connected to the non-MIMO AV devices, however these adapters tend to hiccup and disconnect when attempting to connect the 2nd channel. I get great line quality out of the older adapters I have, but am surprised at how poor the quality is on these. The current Netgear powerline utility does not support these adapters, although their website says it will by the end of the year. I hope they do, and I hope they get a firmware upgrade that comes with it. Very dissapointed.

This device lasted less than 2 months. It took us about month to try to return it to Best Buy where we told we needed to contact Netgear. It took about 2 weeks for us to contact Netgear who advised us that although they were aware we had purchased it (because we had to setup an account to use it) the 90 day support warranty had disappeared and we would now have to pay 49.99 get technical support for the device. I declined and asked why I would pay 49.99 fir support for something I paid 84.99 for 3.5 months ago. Save your money. Don’t buy this device.

Great idea — send signal over house wiring. But it didn't work reliably for me. I took this back because it was connected only about half the time.

Adapter that doesn’t truly adapt, it struggles to pickup wifi that most devices do if you’re somewhat a distance away.

The idea was to relocate my NAS away from my DSL modem and connect them using internal house wiring. However, I was never able to get the system to work at anywhere near acceptable speeds.

This unit works but far from advertised capable speeds. We have gigabit fiber speeds but this unit will only handle about 56mbps. The home is brand new, don't know if my wiring is affecting speeds.

I can't use the other plug on the wall because of the form factor of this stupid thing. It may work well as a product but their engineers should have though about what block a plug would entail.

I got these to extend my network. I was tired of the ups and downs of my wifi connection from the first floor. I only got a steady 40mbps. That was good, but the price of this didn't justify the speed.
