Bought this to improve internet speed to a computer in my basement. Was having issues with my wireless speed so decided to try this. Bottom line, after installing, the speed on this was lower than what I was getting through wireless originally. Might be the wiring in my house, but the house was built in 2009, so the wiring shouldn't be that bad. Ended up returning the product since it didn't meet my needs.

I was told that this would bring me from a 1.28 megabytes download speed up to where I should be in the 90's, but it only brought it up to 3.90-4.50 Area,

If you want a wired connection for the sake of having one, then this product will give you that. Tried plugging the adapter to every power outlet in my house and even on the same power outlet but this one is still very sloooooow.

I expected a little loss in bandwidth from the 989Mbps we consistently get with a cable . But running the two units plugged into the same wall plate electrical outlets wouldn’t even hit 200Mbps. No surge suppressor or power strip was in play. Tested the cables and they were fine, tried another wall plate again plugging both the units in there, same results. Don’t waste your money.

Not even a month after the 1 Year warranty ended this completely stopped working. Disappointed I spent so much money on such a simple device. Didn't even work that great in the first place. Just buy a regular cord if you can.

It worked excellent when I first installed it but it stopped working do not know why. Have to call the tech service.

PLEASE DO NOT BUT! SAVE YOUR MONEY! This is by far the worst form of connection I’ve had to experience, every time I try to do anything on my of the connection goes off and on making it impossible to do anything on my PC. For $85 you would expect it to at least be a consistent form of connection? Again please don’t but unless you want to have a bad experience 0/10.

Returned this product , speed is less then 30mbps , where as at source I verified it’s 230mnps . It’s good as wired extension but replaced with google wifi

I needed to extend my wifi and thesebwere perfect for that.i was able to add another ap on 2nd floor.

I set the product up as described in the instructions. I had all of my leds on.I had a connection but it was much slower than the regular wifi. if you want any help from NETGEAR YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! You will also have to make sure the receptacle that the router is on and the one the TV is on are on the same breaker. to have a connection through the NetGear Router. My advice is to have your main router on a lower level than the tv. since wifi waves travel up not down.

This is supposed to replicate a hardwired connection which is does and its seemless but my speeds decrease tremendously which is unfortunate

I have my modem on the other side of the house, so i thought this would help get a better connection but it didnt. The power requirements ruined it.

Works fair but blocks 2nd outlet. Speed was ok but expected speed to be close to ethernet connection speed.

I bought this item due to my partner starting to work from home. I needed to move my gaming set up out of the main office and still wanted it to be hard lined. I thought this was the answer. I was very wrong. I have 1GB internet however this device could not push beyond 50MB.

Unable to get a connection using this Ethernet over Powerline adapter on a couple of my computers.

Terrible product, that never worked with my comcast service. Wasted half a day really trying all different solutions

Perhaps it was user error. But actually gave me slower speeds. Netgear makes great products.This one just was not the one for my issue.

Avoid. This dropped me from 450mbps down to 40mbps. I went into my local store and was told that this would be my solution to keep me from having to run an ethernet cord to my home office. When I returned the item a manager told me that it was a terrible product and she said it drops your mbps to usually half speed.

Router was unable to directly connect to voice over IP phone (digital) so was forced to get this unit to be able to use phone in another room. Can’t say it helped with issue as the connection worked but phone sound quality is terrible. Not sure if phone or this method of connection not being direct to router. Certainly no help at Best Buy to resolve.

This unit works great for maybe about 15 min then triggers my breaker box and has caused damage to my pc and monitor. DO NOT BUY THIS AND BEST BUY SHOULD NOT BE SELLING THESE
