Extremely easy to set up. Speeds prior on PS4 were 8-11Mbps. After adding the powerline adapter, speeds doubled to 20-22Mbps on a 30Mbps connection. No more lag. I was sceptical as a gamer and relying on it for gaming, but I stand corrected. Very good investment. Ty

I purchased a set of these last fall (about 4 months ago) because Comcast said they needed $5k to bring internet from the road to our house. I already had power about halfway to the road, so I purchased another 250 foot roll of 12-2 with ground wire and ran it nearly the rest of the way. I bought these in the store hoping they would send the signal the full 550 feet from the road to the house. They do the job wonderfully. I tested the speed on these (using lantest) and could never get the full 1200 Mbps that they advertise. I tried this in the house with them in outlets in two adjacent rooms. Basically the top speed was about 200 Mbps. That was more than fast enough for me, so I decided to keep them and run it to the road. I then put one in the house and the other 550 ft away at the road. Top speed now is about 90 Mbps, but that is still faster than our internet at 75 Mbps, so I'm happy. It's a big jump up from the 3 Mbps we had with DSL. In case you are wondering, the circuit breaker in our breaker box serves only this wire going to the road. We have a total of three outlets on the way to the road. The first is about 250 ft out, then another 50 ft after that, and the last another 250 ft after that. So this is not one continuous wire, but does have several junctions in it. These adapters seem to handle that with no problem. When I installed these I also installed an ethernet surge suppressor on one end because I still had another 100 ft of ethernet before reaching my cable modem. I did use a name brand - APC suppressor. For the record I had purchased some ZyXEL 200 Mbps adapters prior to this and found that I could only get 20 Mbps out of those under ideal (adjacent room) conditions. I've reached the conclusion that manufacturers rate these about 10 x what a normal consumer can expect. If you are expecting to get 1200 Mbps out of these, then don't buy them. You won't achieve that except MAYBE under ideal conditions. If you need 100 or 200 Mpbs, then these should work well. Note - I have considered installing a noise isolating transformer between the first outlet and the circuit breaker, but they work well enough that I haven't needed to do that.

I don't know what other people expect from this product but let's get a few things straight. It is not a replacement for hard lines. It is a workaround for existing structures and/or historical buildings that can't be drilled into or hacked up. The power lines are already there if the house has power. If you have dirty power you will not get a good signal nor will you get good consistent power to your home. If your lights flicker or dim when you open the fridge you might want to get your grounding issue sorted out before using a powerline adapter. I have used these devices successfully for a few years now and they are plug and play. If there are problems check your electric lines.

I needed to extend my WI-FI and checked out range extenders with little said good about them and I also need to extend my Ethernet hard wire but that would be very hard due to my attic space and wall construction so I explored the adapter and purchased this one in two two packs for three locations. The speed attained was great and the range using a Netgear N300 router on the end accomplished exactly what I needed. I have FIOS and it works great!!!

setup was a breeze and connection is fast. Couldn't be a more simple way of doing things. I hooked up my TiVo bolt to my network and since my mini is connected via mocha I have some pixelization happening. Some say its cause the Tivo bolt and mocha have issues. When I turn off the mocha network it all seems to work better. hmmm.m All is fine and my Tivo Mini works great!

I tried a USB wifi dongle and it worked, sort of. I was getting packet loss and connection issues all day long. On top of that I was getting interference with my TV and cellphones using wifi. I was recommended this by a friend and holy cow am I impressed. Ive never used these before and have always drug a cord from the router to my desktop or had my desktop in the room with the router. Now I can be on the other side of my house in my cozy office with almost NO issues even when gaming or streaming. It took maybe 2 minutes to set it up and have everything running. I opted for the non-passthrough because I believe that would cause packet loss from higher wattage systems like a server. Props to Netgear. Works great with my N8000 Nighthawk and Gigabit ethernet ports.

Can be configured by push button or manually

I bought the set in addition with existing powerline adapters. To setup using button with already configured adapters, you have to use one of them to pair with these adapters one by one. You have to press "master" adapter to enter pairing mode followed by "slaves" (new units). Since I have four adapters already (total six), I ended up to use manual method using Zyxel PLA5206 software to setup manually to ensure all six are match with network name. After the setup, they work as they supposed to be. The reason why I gave 4 stars is the speed. I only get up to 110Mbps; with TP-Link 600, however, I got 130 with exact plugs.

Purchased this to upgrade old NetGear wifi adapter to AV receiver that needs an Ethernet connection. Also upgraded wifi router to NetGear Nighthawk router at same time. Our smart tv actually works like a smart tv now! It was very easy to set up.

I was on the maket for an usb wifi network adapter for an old PC with legendary windows XP (I still use for work) when I found this marvelous invention, so I had to try it and BOOM 1Gbps upstairs at the command center without loosing any speed downstairs at the entertainment sanctuary. I hooked up upstairs a spare Airport extreme and plugged 3 desktops to it, all working flawlessly. Keep up the good work Netgear!

I tried two others before trying Netgear PowerLine 1200. I used the TPLink 500 and the ActionNet PWR514. Both perform the same and I would notice drops 3 rooms away. They never maintained a good connection. The internet speed never was consistent. Then I decided to give these a try and after 2 days. I'll say these things don't miss a beat. My internet connection is much more stable now and I haven't notice the link speed between the adapters drop like they did on TPLink and ActionNet to amber/red. Get these they're worth it.

Uses your electrical wires for Ethernet. Good product if you do not have Ethernet in a room. It also depends on where you have this plugged in to get the 100Mps. I'm getting below 20Mps even though I have 300Mps. Brought this product, because the WiFi on our 4K TV isn't up to par. Since adding the Powerline 1200 the videos do not buffer as much.

After trying numerous fixes for my online connection issues and banging my head against the wall for two years. I purchased the netgear attachments to use my wires in my house to get the modems wifi signal from one end of the house to the other. I have brick walls filled concrete. Routers didnt work and neither did signal extenders. This product worked. I wish I purchased it sooner as, I wasted money trying other ways.
