Works fine when not in sleep mode

The PL1200 is a good product if it would not always go into sleep mode. I have unplug and replug to wake it up so it can work. I wish that there was some way to keep the PL1200 out of sleep mode. I use it on my smart TV be I read it was faster than wifi. This is the only thing that disappoints me with this product. I wonder if this problem will get fixed. I figure I will have to get an older version that does not have sleep mode built in already.

    Not gigabit in my house

I bought this to upgrade a much older one hoping to gain the gigabit speed with a direct connection to my router to my computer since my wireless connection was weak. It simply did not perform or improve the speed. The connection light would bounce from green to red, showing a slow connection with speeds in the teens, not even the hundreds. The wireless was still faster, so I returned it.

    Slow suppose to be 1200mbps

This was a breeze to setup but the NetGear claim is that it will get up to 1200mbps. I am not even getting 1/10th of that. The maximum that I can transfer is 60 Mbps. My Wifi Coverage is a little weak in the bottom of my house, but My Linksys WRT1900AC still let's me get about between 100mbps and 140mbps. I am trying to get ready for my cable modem upgrade to 300mbps. This will not work for that purpose. I also ordered the Linksys PLEK500 and the reviews advised that it was able to reach a speed of 107mbps. The Linksys says it can do 500mbps. If it gets me more than 140 I will keep it, if it only gets me 107 I will return it as my AC router coverage is getting more than that now.

    I am not sure...

I have these 2 adapters on both sides of the wall to avoid drilling it and it seems they are very sensitive to the quality of the installation. Moving from one plug to another led to significant loss of speed. Comcast being not very stable either, it is hard to know who is really the culprit. but in average I reach 190Mbps down/10MBbps up.

Best buy needs to correct its site

This thing would be decent enough if I had only wanted a wired connection. However, on the site you list the specs that it is wifi capable which the PL1200-100PAS SKU:4002029 IS NOT. Although, the specs on your site claim the following as of today 2/8/2019: Wi-Fi Speed: 1200 megabits per second WIfi Range: 5832 sq. ft. Wireless Standard: AC How hard is it to copy and paste the specs from the netgear site onto yours. Here's the link: https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/PL1200.aspx#tab-techspecs Now I have to schlepp back to the store to return it, deal with the flip attitude of your assistants, show ID like a criminal, etc, etc....
