Add wired networking across the house

Instead of having to get in the attic to run ethernet cables, I was able to set up one of these by my router and the other by my media center. They work just fine. Note that these won't work in all houses or buildings. I've helped a few clients get these working, but for a few others, they wouldn't work because of their electrical wiring.

More reliable than wi-fi

The Netgear unit installed very quickly and I haven't had any problems since. The next model up from this one has a pass-through power slot, so you don't lose a power source. You might think about that one instead.

NETGEAR - Powerline 1200 Gigabit Ethernet Adapters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought to extend my network for devices that cannot go wifi. I had already Tenda P1000 installed. Didn't work very well together. Tenda is Broadcom- based, Netgear is Qualcomm-based. Tried to switch them around, got them to work for a little bit then loss of connectivity. Removed Tenda P1000 which are ok but SiSo and not MiMo. All seems good.
