Works Great! All Through Wiring in Your Home

This is a great and reliable method to transfer internet to other rooms that would have been absent from an Ethernet port to deliver a secured/wired connection. This beats climbing in the attic to run cables and connecting an extra wireless router or range extender.

Great inexpensive alternative to wiring LAN cables

This powerline adapter is a great inexpensive and hassle-free alternative to wiring LAN cables across rooms and having to rip up or break down walls. Before I looked into this, I didn't realize that this technology even existed, all the while I was putting up with faulty erratic wi-fi Internet connection to my devices at home.

I was skeptical that it would work but it sure does! Easy install but be aware it comes with two units one of them is to send the signal the others to receive it so if you need two outlets you'll have to buy a 2nd 2 -pack. But trust me it's worth it to get the 4x faster wired speeds instead of wireless slow downloads.

The landline adapter has decent speeds, however, I do get a little concerned when it goes into sleep mode and the recovers from it. I sense some overhead associated with that, I wish I could turn off that function. Also, it will take up 1 outlet on the wall, as I read somewhere that direct connect to the wall outlet is ideal (no surge protectors), but even so it does not consume both outlets. Wish I could see actual current speed and latency or even a speed test at maximum capacity as I do want to use this for voice and video. The LED lights give you some idea but i do not have a more precise visual of conditions (speed, latency, encryption on/off) other than the rough one with the blinking LEDs. Using it to devices on a gigbit switch.

Great product. Wanted to hard wire my PS4, but my router is completely across the house. Used this product and went from 2-3mbps through the PS4's terrible wireless card to a much more respectable 30mbps wiring it to the Netgear Powerline 1200. Set up was as easy as it gets. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes.

I already use two of these, and wanted to get wired internet to other parts of the house for faster service. These were easy to connect to my existing boxes and now I have less wifi devices using up the homes' bandwidth. I love this solution, prevents me from having to run wires all over the house.

These adapters are much faster than my previous powerline ethernet adapters. For the first time, I'm able to stream video between my Tivo boxes. Also, I no longer have the dropout problem I previously had with the old adapters dropping offline, which required them to be unplugged from the wall & plugged back in again.

We live in a two-story apartment complex and these adapters saved us having to run a wire to our desktop computer downstairs. We stream a lot of media and play a lot of games online and we've never had any issues with connectivity, signal, or speed. Great, simple solution to wires and it works great.

For me, worse than a USB dongle...YMMV

Not for everyone. I live in an apartment, and no matter what outlet I plug this into (with different cables), best I get is 60Mb/s...far from the 800-900Mb/s I should have gotten. This was plugged into a 2.5Gb LAN port on an Asus AX86U to boot - not a cheap router. A cheap $27 USB 3.0 AC WiFi dongle does better (gets me full internet speeds 450Mb/s+ and even better over local LAN). Running a cable direct between PC and router gets me full gigabit speeds with large file transfers but this powerline adapter in between is slow like 1998. Was hoping I could ditch the long cable, but not so with these adapters. Giving it 3 stars as a "C grade" only because it's probably my particular electrical wiring causing the issue - works for some but not others - greatly depends on your environment. But in my case though, it's DOA...unusable...will be returning ASAP.

I needed a wired connection for my TV and didn't want to run cables. After trying this, I may never run cables again. It's quite literally plug and play, and it's just as fast as a traditional wired network. I highly recommend.

have purchased lower speed powerline network adapters before and they are pretty reliable, super convenient. These models are supposed to be Gigabit speed, not sure they get there, however better than any wireless connection. Used these to replace an old CAT5 cable running through my crawlspace to another wireless access point servicing the other side of my house. They also have a handy connection quality indicator that occasionally flickers to red indicating >100mbit connection, noticed this occurs during t-storms coincidentally.. If you need a high speed link, these do the trick without a wire.

I purchased this set in order to extend connectivity to my back bedroom where my wifi signal does not reach with great strength. However, while the speeds are decent (about as fast as the 5g wifi) I've noticed that at least once a day it will drop signal for about a minute at a time, While not a deal breaker, it is rather annoying when it happens. Considering their relative expense, I'm not sure that I would chose this option again based on my experience so far.

I needed a network connection for my receiver which doesn't have wireless. This was literally as easy as plug in, push a button and done. Performance has been great and previous experience with netgear products has been very positive so I world expect dependability.

Recommended by a friend, thought I’d try out the newest generation of the powerline adapters. I’m using this with a HP laser printer that does not have wireless capability and is also a longer distance away from most of my other network gear (on another floor, opposite side of the house). This unit works well even when the printer goes into deep power-save mode too which is very nice. I set up a wireless client on all of our PC's for it with a fixed IP address, and now we can get there from anywhere we have network coverage. Even works from a Samsung phone too after installing HP print service app. I’ve tried some other brands for this application and found them to not work well in this situation where the client goes into a deep sleep or is perhaps turned off for an extended period of time, so this Powerline 1200 works great for me. Might be a bit of overkill as this unit is also claiming to support 4K video too, but it was money well spent for me.
