Needed to extend a wireless network with a repeater and the best way to do this with a Power of Ethernet adapter. This adapter worked just fine for the need, and provided the throughput to extend the network without having to rely on wireless repeaters.

works, but be aware the advertised speed depends on your house. Even though my switch is gigabit, i'm only getting 50mbs from where my swtich/router modem is to the room i'm in next door to the office. otherwise its working fine. I do find my laptoop disconnects a lot, due to the "power saving" but thats only when I pout my laptop to sleep or "log off", but neve have an issue when I do full power up or reeboot.

The speeds are nowhere near 1,200mbps, I typically get somewhere around 50mbps, but at least it's a stable connection with basically zero latency.

I Have always purchased netgear products, and purchased my first power line adapters years ago, but they were never very stable. When I saw the new model, I thought I would try out the performance in a hope of them being much better. Sadly, it's really the same performance. No improvements. If you paid less you can still buy the older models and get the same performance. If you have the money to hand, give the EX7000 range extender a try, no wires and wow its fast.

Bought this to alleviate running network cables from my living room to my bedroom. When these are plugged into the same circuit within the house they worked great. The second I plugged them into another circuit my speeds were cut in half. Running tests while on the same circuit I would get 80mbps from my ISP. Running the same test once I plugged this into the circuit in my bedroom I would get 40mbps. Exchanged this for EX6150-100NAS and have been extremely happy.

Needed ethernet in my room but it was too far to connect to the modem. These are great for using ethernet through your homes electrical wiring that way there are no wires to trip over. Instant stable ethernet connection.

We have a good speed at home that frequently is over 100mb. There was a room in the basement that could not have ethernet run and it has all the metal ductwork above it so wifi was not an option. This device did get 25-50mb there and has been reliable.

Worked well for my needs-- Had an apartment and could not run wiring the way I wanted to. You won't be getting lightning fast speeds like a gig or more, however.

We have an odd floor plan in our house & the extender we previously purchased was no longer working to get wifi to the front part of the house. This product has changed everything. Our wifi signal in our living room on the front part of the house if now fantastic.

This Netgear Powerline AC1200 works within the same building, which it should, we tried to tie in a separate building with 30 yards on the same electrical circuit and it was too weak.
