Good product, but too expensive for what you get. Your only paying for the name.

I was told this device would help get my wireless signal to the other side of the house. It does, but you need to plug the other end into a computer. It's not a wireless signal that comes out on the other end. However, I also happen to have another router on hand, so I plugged the receiving end into a router and can now broadcast a signal from the other end of the house. In the end, it worked out okay.

Ethernet via Powerline adapters much better than Wi-fi for a new big TV if your Wi-fi is at all weak because of distance from modem.

Quick and easy setup, the only downfall for this model is only has one port on each end, so to expand it on the other side you need to buy another piece of equipment (switch/hub).

With the netgear powerline adapter you can get internet where you don't have a cable prepared for this, works good for getting security cameras online

My HD TV can only update it's software via ethernet cable (not wireless). Have wireless modem downstairs and TV upstairs. This uses house wiring to transmit signal from modem to tv.

Best powerline adapter I have used. Negligible bandwidth loss when adapters are used on same circuit. If not I see about 50% loss.

This product works as advertised and makes wired internet available through your home's electrical system. However, that internet comes at the expense of being able to run any speakers that are required to be plugged into that same electrical system. Is your internet usage increases static on your speakers also increases.

    1200 Mbps? Where????

I bought this hoping to increase speeds to our bedroom which has proven to be a pain to hard wire. When I saw that this device could give me Gigabit speeds (Gigabit is 1,000 Mbps) over the existing powerline I was ecstatic. I knew that was likely a theoretical maximum, but I assumed that meant I could at least get a 10th of the maximum speed which would likely be better than the speeds I was getting over the week WiFi signals. Boy was I wrong. Even our week WiFi signals give us speeds THREE TIMES AS FAST as this device. And that's real world use. Not benchmarks. I started a download from the internet (with our *60 Mbps* connection) and it seemed slow. Approximately 10Mbps. So, I disconnected the Ethernet cable from this device and the speeds instantly jumped to 30Mbps. I tried two more times after rebooting and moving to different outlets with the same results. The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because I suppose it would be useful for those who can't use WiFi at all for some reason. Otherwise, I can't imagine there's not a wireless solution of some kind that wouldn't work better than this.
