Netgear AC 1200 Powerline adapter

It seems to get less bandwidth even when single device is connected at other end. I understand that overall bandwidth may depend on the distance a AC circuits, I just wished it was consistent through put.

NetGear network device

Download speed was only 10% of hard wire. Also, my roommate’s VPN would not connect, which he needed for work. We ended up running a hard wire through the attic, which worked perfectly. We ended up returning the device.

When you cant run a hardline this will do

Could not get it to work

I tried another brand's powerline adapters in the SAME outlets and they linked up and are working great. Since the other brand worked right away, I did not fuss with trying to troubleshoot the Netgear.
