Very slow speed, do not buy

I have fiber 500mbps and when I plugged it upstairs and only <50 feet away from my modem/router downstairs I was only getting speeds of 60mbps via speedtest.net. The device I ran a test on was the latest MacBook Pro and I was getting 400mbps from my wifi compared to only 60mbps from the Ethernet.
