    I bought this item thinking it would improve wifi in my second floor. The adapter does not stay on green for more than five minutes. I have used every outlet in the house and it does not make the wifi any better.

    This completely depends on the electrical wiring of your house. Found no difference between Wi-fi and Powerline. Sometimes I would even get disconnected from my network with this.
