I got this because my Xbox one was located so far from the router and wasn't getting a good signal. Plugged one in the room with the router and the other in the room with the Xbox one and it worked flawlessly.

Bought an older house, needed hardware Ethernet connections for some non-wireless electronics. Good, simple solution to extend Ethernet into rooms without hiring an electrician to run cabling.

It was super easy to install.... just plug into socket, plug in your ethernet cable... get busy!! Only gave it four stars because it has only one ethernet connection.

This power line adapter works perfect so far. We were able to extend LAN line speeds across the house and the pass through outlet made it easy to keep everything on the same wall outlet.

These are all over my house! What sets these apart is the fact that these allow you to still use the outlet. I have not noticed any degradation of signal with this feature.

I had WiFi interference from neighbors and chose this powerline solution. Plugged both adapters in the wall, connected cat6 from my cable modem, and that’s it! Super easy.

I purchased two NETGEAR Powerline Network Adapters on March 27. I went to Bestbuy on the following Monday and purchased another unit. I wanted to get rid of all network cabling for my home network and entertainment devices. Powerline adapters were the way to go. On April 5th I attempted to register the three adapter sets (six units) through the NETGEAR registration site. I was able to enter the registration numbers for four of the units. The site informed me that two of the serial numbers were not valid. Confused, I sent an email to NETGEAR Customer Service and that’s when the third-degree examination began. They wrote back and asked for copies of my receipts. I sent them a copy of the BESTBUY order conformation email but did not have a copy of my BESTBUY email for the two I brought from my BESTBUY store. As of April 7th, I have heard nothing from NETGEAR Customer Service about my registration numbers. As for the NETGEAR Powerline adapters themselves, I had read how the adapters had a tendency to drop network connections seemingly at random. I started getting this problem within two days of installing the units. I saw a suggestion that I tweak the WiFi settings of my router. I did. This helped somewhat. Finally I unplugged all the units, plugged them back in and reset them by pressing the adapter reset buttons. I think this finally solved the random dropping of connections. I give the adapter three stars because I think the adapters themselves could have been better designed–the reset button on the units is recessed inside the case and requires a paperclip or other thin device to press. The three stars are really a reflection of the very low opinion I have of a customer service operation that responds to a complaint with a bevy of ridiculous questions having nothing to do with the complaint. Where would I have gotten serial numbers for the product if I had not purchased it? I would not recommend NETGEAR adapters for the two reasons given.

Used to extend wifi to our wireless printer that was just on the edge of the network. You only need an A/C outlet close in order to connect cat5 cable.
