Does what it is supposed to

I have a home which was built just two years ago so the wiring is very good but I see little to no signal strength increase vs WIFI. It does what I needed to do. My only strong complaint is although it does have a power outlet to allow me use of the outlet it is plugged in to, due to it's size, it renders the other plug useless because it covers part of it.

Great way to connect the house

A need if you cant hardwire

They Work Even in My Detached Garage Apartment!

It carries my 100 mbps down/10 up connection from my main house to my detached garage apartment that I use as a gaming room/office. It will work as long as it is used on the same electrical circuit, it does not matter if you have a second breaker box or not. The only downside is I see my connection reduced to 15 Mbps down/ 5 Mbps up from the amount of interference there is from the different electrical sockets there are in my home.

I ended up returning it and going with the Orbi mesh system as each of the nodes also has a built in ethernet router. This might meet your needs as it does work as expected if the plug you use is on the same circuit as where you place the other plug.
