Very simple to set up . Works well . Only issue is that it does take up two outlets .

I live in a rental home in a rural area. There are 4 people using the Wifi at both 2.5 and 5 GHz, so it sometimes slows down. My office provides me with a VOIP phone and VPN service at home. The powerline adaptors allow me to use ethernet for the VOIP and VPN connections. It is extremely fast with no lag and no interference passed down the line abount 50 yards away from the incoming signal.

    Really Simple Setup

Used to have my router in a bad area close to many obstacles which gave poor signal, using these adapters gave me more options to move my router to a better place with better coverage, really simple to install just "plug and play" and you don't loose any speed compared to other adapters. only downside is that they're big and can block nearby outlets, the extra outlet is a huge plus.

    Great option for 2-story house

Due to the placement of my router downstairs in my house, I had issues receiving a signal upstairs. I tried WiFi extenders, but they did not work well and actually degraded my signal. I was ready to run another cable up through the frame of my house to get to a location in the second floor that I could run to a second router. However, I read about this product on CNET and found the technology on power line adapters was much more advanced over the last year. I gave it a try and the entire house now receives a strong signal. You just need to configure a second router to Slave off the connection to work as a repeater. Easy setup and great results.

    Best Solution for me

I recently started renting a room on the third floor of a house, and the wifi is transmitting from the bottom floor. I am a new PC gamer and wanted a solid fast connection, and the downstairs wifi was not cutting it. For an arm and a leg our internet provider was willing to route cables through the walls up into my bedroom (landlord not willing to have ethernet cords running through hallway). I stumbled upon this solution without meaning to while at BB looking for wifi extenders. I had never heard of this type of internet solution (ethernet extended through power-lines? weird...). I quickly read reviews on my phone and decided to try it out on a whim. The set up was straightforward and there's even a security option in case...um...hackers tap into your back-porch outlet hoping there's internet? Anyway I feel better knowing its there. The extra outlet on these devices was a selling point and worth it for me. Most importantly, THEY WORK! My internet speed went from 2-3 mbit/sec on the wifi to a solid 30 mbit/sec on ethernet through these devices. This has cut my download times by a factor of 10 (significant when games are over 10 Gb). HD videos no longer freeze when streaming. In other words, it works exactly as if I had the ethernet straight from the router/modem into my computer. Would recommend these for someone in a similar situation.

Easy. Plugged in the wall and ran the supplied cable from the device to my smart TV. Set smart TV to use a wired network and it worked.

Great for online gamers who don't have ethernet jacks readily available. Speed tripled from my WiFi router....also keeps things looking clean by not having cables running all over the place. Comes with the 2 connected ethernet cables as well. Would give it a 5 but haven't tried them across a variety of applications yet.

I was originally looking for a way to boost my WiFi, or buying a more powerful router, when I came across the power line adapter. Honestly, I thought it was to good to be true, but its amazing. I now have a hardwired connection to my router without having to run an Ethernet cable. It's a quick and easy setup. Just plug and go. Awesome product!

I use these around the house to get hard-wire connection without having to run wire through the walls or across the floor. The connection works just as good as if the components were wired. Get excellent upload and download speeds. The only reason it's not a five star is that I haven't had much luck with power line adapters staying connected consistently, and I've had to reboot the system a few times. But so far so good with these 1200's!

It works as advertised. Literally a plug and play product. Obviously the speed varies upon how your house is wired. My speed was constantly around 100 mbps, which was a lot better than my older one. You'll never get that Gigabit speed through a power line, but its nice to know you have the capability of getting close to it.

These adapters work great and are easy to setup as long as you only have 1 pair. If you want to add additional pairs of adapters, which I did you are better off downloading the config tool from Netgear instead of trying to use the button to configure a new key. Once setup though, works great.

I own a 4k tv so I need that reliable, fast connection but the modem is with the landlord. Plug this into the modem & one into an outlet by the tv and you are wired in! Easy, almost instant set up. Having the extra outlet on top is great because this takes up a lot of space in the wall outlet. No way you're getting the advertised speeds, but that goes for any kind of EoP device. You do get plenty of speed that is constant enough to stream 4k from Netflix & Vudu.

These are perfect for those areas that WiFi doesn't send a strong signal to. Really amazing how fast a connection they send through my house's old power wires. I used these to send a wired signal upstairs to a second wireless transmitter & now coverage is great throughout the house.

This was purchased for an at home office that requires a hard wire connection. It was easy to install as it was simple to plug and works right away. The lights on the device show the user it is working correctly. The speed performs were it should. The pass through was very nice as it takes up more room than one outlet.
