Love netgear products but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to extend my 300mbps connection into my living room and thought I had the perfect product. This product caps out at 100mbps of which I got 65mbps. Very disappointed.

inconsistent at best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These adapters are inconsistent at best. I have one in the office where the internet comes into the house and then the other in the living room for my htpc. The problem is that, while the lights stay green the whole time, the htpc constantly loses internet. I have tried unplugging them, turning security on, turning it off, and nothing seems to help. It is just very inconsistent and I would not recommend them for anything but light usage where you don't need constant internet.

Not so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't get the device to hold an active network connection to stream video between my TiVo boxes. Maybe it was the wiring in my apartment.

Didn’t work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave me the same speeds as being on wireless. Should have been getting at least 700 Gigs and only got the same 250 gigs.

Make sure you know you have to plug it in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably a great buy for the money. However, not what we needed. Not a wifi booster. Must plug devices in.

Works but at very reduced speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was for a shed 45 feet from the house and wired through the house main box. It's instructions warn of reduced speeds, but from 175Mbps to 11Mbps is too much. It may have been better if in the house but that wasn't what I needed. I returned it and bought a signal repeater that works great.

Not Good At All
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In short, my connection was awful and its performance was awful. I would not recommend this item to anyone! I would rather someone go online and buy a Linksys powerline adapter. I've used those in the past and they even perform better than this for less than half the price!

Didn't do what I needed it to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to extend my Wi-Fi to a deck that was not reachable with a Wi-Fi range extender. Was able to get connectivity to the deck but when I connected a wireless access point my whole network went haywire. Had to disconnect and reset every single device. It happened each time I tried it.

Slower than Wireless - Useless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Porbably the worst product I have ever bought. It claims gigabit speed and I could not even get 20Mbps on outlets next to each other. It should tell you when the status lights are in the realm of 80Mbps and below. Thank you BedtBuy for no hassle returns.

Did not make a difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For my household the Powerline 1200 did not make any difference at all. We followed the directions. We continued to have the same problems we had before we installed it. I read reviews and saw that it worked for some people, it did not work for us.

Did not perform as expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade from an older Amped extender and tried Netgear's newest offering. In all aspects Netgear delivered poorer results. I returned it for credit and am happy with what I have. Too bad Netgear doesn't deliver as it advertises.

Did not increase the speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Netgear ac1900 in my closet & hooked this up to connect an Ethernet directly to my laptop & it actually ran slower than my WiFi. I get about 300 mbps wirelessly & this ran at about 100.

Never could get it to work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After an hour of trying I contacted net gear support. They did find troubleshooting and decided I got a bad extender. I will probably try one more time.

Best tech purchase I have ever made
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device does exactly what I wanted it to and then some. I have literally the same connection speed as when i tested it plugged directly to the modem. For context, I am an avid PC gamer that has over the years refused the addition of a wireless network card in my PC. I have recently moved into a situation where the room my PC is in has 0 ethernet jacks, or cable jacks, so i can neither set up the home ethernet network or even move the modem. This solution was seen initially as a reach as I have read a lot of it has to do with wiring in the house. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe this product is a lot better than people are giving credit and its really their internet that's bad or their wiring that is faulty. The room I am in used to be a garage and has terrible old wiring, and I have bad suburban comcast (moving from beautiful richmond city verizon) so I don't really see that being much of an excuse. Either way an easy 5 star from a happy gamer.
