Great little device if you don’t want to invest in mesh routers for larger floor plans. Combine with Netgear WiFi extenders and you have a system that works on par with mesh router with better speed. Ok real downside, power tools and heavy appliances. As long as they are not too close or on same outlet as power line, you should be good otherwise there is some dropped packets, slowing things down a bit. This is more of a problem with gaming and streaming than anything else.

My house has problems keeping wifi signal constant. I had added an extender to get the signal to my wife's bedroom, but could not get a reliable, constant connection to get her new smart tv on the internet. This unit saved my bacon by using the house electrical wiring to connect the router to the smart tv. The unit comes with two components.... 1 plugs into the router and the other into the tv. I wish the unit came with a 3rd module to plug into another tv. But ya gotta be thankful for what you can get and this works great so far.

These powerline adapters work quite well for me in my house. The house is older and not built well for wireless, and there's a few places that I just can't get an Ethernet run to. I picked up these for our home office (the extra outlet is helpful) and they were quick to set up and worked pretty well. You're not going to get amazing speeds, but it was good enough to play most games without much lag and download updates moderately quickly. Best of all, no extra wiring skills required.

Very easy to hook up, even if adding to other existing powerline adapters. **Only add one adapter at a time. I thought all 3 powerline adapters had to be blinking in order to link, but the 2 that come in the box are already paired. To get another adapter on the third adapter, press the security key on the third adapter and then on one of the 2 that are already paired.** Ran around the house a lot of times trying to catch blinking lights before actually following the (admittedly short) directions in the box.

My house is a moderate size two story home that's over 30 years old. I was a little skeptical but a Best Buy employee whose opinion I trust recommended this adapter. My ISP is 200Mbps which during peak periods drops to 120 Mbps +/-. This adapter during peak period averages 85Mbps +/- sufficient for all high data download needs. I recommend this adapter with the electrical "AC" pass-thru because the adapter will block access to the second AC plug.

I looked to hire a company to hardwire one of my offices until I found this product. Simply plug it in on the sending and receiving end using the included ethernet cords and BOOM...you have network coverage,

My Wifi wasn’t reaching my sons bedroom so I got a WiFi extender, but he was still only getting less than 20mbs and the connection would time out periodically. Which is a big problem if your into online gaming. So now we’re using this power line Ethernet connection and it has tripled his internet speed. He’s now getting consistent speeds over 60mbs, and hasn’t lost connection while playing games. In my opinion this set up is SO worth it, and the price was very reasonable.

We have a "Mother-in-Law" suite in this house which is about as far from our wireless router as you can get and still be in the house. We keep a PC setup in that room for use by family when they want privacy, but it's wifi wasn't reliable at all. The 1200MBS powerline ethernet adapters from Netgear turned the internet in the spare room into a solid reliable connection. Good enough that we bought two more to solve another problem and keep one as a spare.

I've been trying to cut down on the wifi used in the house and discovered these adapters that can use your electrical wiring to carry a hard line internet signal throughout the home. At first I was very unsure how well it could really work and after plugging one adapter in by the router and then putting the other one in the media room and connected my Macbook Pro, the signal was just as advertised. I get higher speed than the wifi and I get to turn off the wifi on my computer.

This item is great ot get increased internet connectivity. It is not as great as being directly connected to your router by much better than WiFi for gaming/streaming. A lot depends on your home wiring configuration and age. If your house operates on an upstairs/downstairs circuits it will not work well or with older wiring in homes built before 2000 or so. We experience oscillating connection speeds due to this.

I was very skeptical purchasing this item because I just didn't think it would work. My expectations were exceeded 10 fold. The Netgear - Powerline Network Adapter was easy to set up in minutes and works great. Strong continual signal and no issues at all. I was able to install the service downstairs in the lower level and have my network router upstairs so both my desktop and wife's laptop can have a solid and strong internet connection. This really surprised me.

This is the best plug in ethernet router I've ever used its ridiculously fast. One thing I didn't like is you need to be pretty close to the main router but the speeds vary download speeds never go user 4mbps which is extremely fast the highest I've got is 11mbps which I was astonished with. Defentiantly worth the investment and I would and will recommend this to my customers and strongly encourage you to recommend this to your friends and family.

Only it's not pie, it's a network extender! Just plug it in and away it goes - so simple even my Mom could do it - just wish she would so her WiFi goes all over her house too!

The Powerline Series of outlet network connectivity is pretty slick. I could have run Cat5/Cat6 in my house, but why when I can just buy one of these kits. The installation was so easy. All I had to do is plug one in by my router/firewall and connect a data cable and then one in my back bedroom and boom I had connectivity like a hard wired connection.
