It ran the computer as fast as if it was hard wired to the modem. The modem found and connected to the netgear quickly.

It has a very good range, its fast, you can either plug it in direct or use the USB chord if you have your CPU unit underneath your desk.

Not plug and play, you definitely need to install the software from CD before first plugging it in. Once you've done that, it works very good. I'd say great, but the software could be better (doesn't effect performance). The tray icon regularly shows RED to indicate something is not right, and if you hover over it says "scanning" as in looking for network even though connected just fine. If that was fixed I'd give it a better rating. I'd recommend it, in fact we bought a second one for the spouse's PC.

My computer is older and doesn't have a wireless card. I was running a cable into the server in another room for internet access. This was the perfect solution - I plugged it into a USB port on the back of the computer and it is completely out of the way. It was easy to get it running and the price was cheaper than having a wireless card installed. I don't know how long it wil last, but for now - I love it, no complaints.

This is a cheap alternative to replacing a built-in adapter which has ceased to function. It is a pain to have to plug it into a usb port to get internet access, but it is definitely better than no access.

Definitely noticed the difference in speed when connecting to 5ghz. USB adapter easy to install and works great!

This adapter works great connected to my home wifi. Super easy setup! Works as intended. Very satisfied.

So far this product has been very good. I haven't had very many problems with it, expect when downloading Windows 10. Other than that great product.

This was a big Improvement for her computer on the lower level. The speed is good and this has made it easy to use.

Got this set up very quickly. The Netgear product works well. We had tried a different brand and had to return it because it kept dropping the wi-fi. But this Netgear one has had no problems.

The adapter works okay with my computer, but its not as convenient as using the internal WiFi. I would rather have the internal adapter fixed, but the Geeks couldn't do that.

Purchased the adapter to use to get internet access on my TV. It works OK. Shows watched on Netflix require frequent buffering. Not sure if it's because of the adapter strength, wi-fi signal or Netflix.

I had no idea this item even existed. The sales staff assisted me in understanding its features and purpose. Easy to install and does all it was designed to do. Lots cheaper than paying monthly internet bills.

My internal card on my 3 year old pc was going bad so for $42 I put this external netgear card on my pc and I am getting great coverage now. A really good stopgap until I get a new PC later in the year.

I bought this Wi-Fi Adapter because I could no longer afford to pay for expensive cable and internet service!! My Brother who lives directly above me in my apartment building has internet service, so I offered to share his connection and split the cost. I mostly use it on my desk top computer, but I also have a older model dell non wireless lap top that I also use the same adapter for!! The Installation disc made installation fast and simple!! Very Satisfied!!! :-))

This little product is great! When my old Lenovo lost the ability to connect wirelessly to the internet at home, I thought I would have to recycle it. Instead, I bought this, and salvaged the computer. It's super easy to install, and my computer's internet connection is faster and better than ever. Only drawback is that you have to install a CD on your computer to use it-it would be nice if the software was on this USB device so you could just plug-and-play. But that's not really a drawback at all.
