I bought this for a cable box that needed access to broadband service, and the install was simple just plug it in, setup was simple and it immediately worked. My box is downstairs and the wireless is upstairs, but no problems with distance or signal.

Couldn't have been easier to start to use and the range is apparently good. Our wireless router is at the other end of our home but this has no issue receiving the signal.

Plug and play - easiest network adapter I have ever set up. Connects at 270 MPS at full signal strength to my netgear router through a ceiling and three walls- probably 80 feet.

Comes with a CD for easy installation, USB extension so that the USB isn't stuck behind a computer tower. Best part is that it connected with my Comcast router. Sweeeeet.

i had bought this along with the netgear rangemax wireless n router and was surfing the net at anywhere from 230 to 300mbps but it is currently hooked up to a netgear rangemax wireless g router and is constantly at 54mbs. its a very good wireless adapter the only con i have about it is sometimes when i leave it plugged into my pc and turn it off when i turn it back on it wont always connect to the network but i found if i just unplug it when i turn it off and then when my pc boots up and plug it in it connects perfectly fine

Turned my PC into a wireless device. Easy to install. Performance is very fast. No noticable difference compared to my previous ethernet connection. Allows you to put your PC anywhere in the house if your house has Wi-Fi.

    Nice duel band receiver

I bought this because I couldn't find a duel band internal card for a better price. It works as advertised and I haven't had any issues with it. My only gripe is that every time I turn on the computer, it pops up to be set up again. I just hit "disagree" to the set up and "yes, I'm sure" and then manually click to connect to my router. It's a slight pain, but I don't mind. I'm sure there is a way to fix it, but it doesn't bother me enough to get out the manual.

Since my son just built his first desktop we were unsure what type of adapter to buy, a friend recomended to buy the same brand as our wireless router at home and it turned out to be a great buy , the wireless usb adapter is working great.

I purchased this product with some doubts. Most USB networking devices I have used were not that great, but this one works as strong as a direct line. The computer I'm using is in my office in the basement while my router is in my bedroom on the 2nd floor, but the connection makes it though all the floors just fine where other products have not.

I have had this since the 25th of May and I have to say I have been impressed thus far. I may purchase a netgear router to go with it ( currently using the Motorola extreme surfboard that is a router/modem ) As far as review wise I love this adapter though seriously. There is one little issue with Windows Xp and this adapter if you have done the hotfix. This is taken from the User Manual for those who can't connect "Windows XP users who apply Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q815485 from the Windows XP Update Service might not be able to connect to the Internet, might have dropped wireless connections, or both when using the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter. You can delete this Hotfix from the Add or Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel. How can I view the IP address for the wireless-N USB adapter? To view the wireless-N USB adapter IP address, click the WNDA3100v2 icon to open the Smart Wizard. Then check the IP address in the About page. No IP address is assigned to the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter. This can occur if you upgraded your WNDA3100v2 software and did not reboot your system. • Either restart your computer, or connect to a different access point. • It does not usually help to shut down the Smart Wizard or disable or enable the wireless-N USB adapter. Note: Be sure that all computers in your Ad Hoc network are configured with static IP addresses in the same subnet. Table 4-1. Speed is acceptable, but consistency is not

Summary: This WiFi adapter will not get you max speeds if there are any walls/doors between it and your router. And even then, I suffered from occasional hiccoughs (see below). Netgear's A6210 (AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter) performed much better for only slightly more money. But the biggest problem was connection quality rather than speed. With this product, both YouTube and Facebook native videos would occasionally suddenly drop out with no warning. The situation: I have an Alienware computer whose built-in wireless adapter is terrible, getting me only 40 Mbps max download speeds. With a hardwired ethernet cable giving me the maximum possible speed, I get 180 Mbps download speeds (Xfinity). My modem/router (also from Best Buy) is a Netgear C6300 (AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router - 1300 Mbps theoretical max speed). With this wireless adapter, with my bedroom door closed, I get 100-130 Mbps, which is actually good enough for me even though it is well below the 180 Mbps maximum. I believe the problem is this product's "antenna". It's small size probably prevents it from getting the maximum speed. With my bedroom door open, it does work at my max speed of 180 Mbps. But either way, it caused unacceptable video playback issues. Comparisons: 1.) My iPhone 6 gets 180 Mbps with my door closed or open. 2.) Netgear's A6210 (AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter) also gets me full speed whether my door is open or closed, probably because of its better antenna shape. It is much bigger, although I get full speed whether I use the extension cord or not. And even though it is bigger, I can still plug it directly into the back of my computer and it fits right next to all my other USB cables (printer, mouse, etc).
